I have a son who is almost 19 and is profoundly autistic. The family enrichment weekend in Washington was a welcome retreat and great opportunity to meet other families of children with disabilities. Raising a child with a disability can be very isolating at times and Families Together has done a fabulous job of getting families together and letting them see that others share their problems, concerns, etc. As my son is beginning the transition process from school, Families Together has been helping me by identifying and advising me on the steps I need to take to make a successful transition.
