I have personally experienced what this wonderful ministry has done for so many adults and children.
Kristy works hard to have the children in her horse club come to a greater understanding of horses. Kristy has proven time and time again what her mentoring program has done to help her students, some of whom have had emotional problems.
She is an avid horsewoman herself and her dream is to be able to help more and more adults and children through her ministry.
Kristy runs a wonderful summer camp at Lotmar Stables.
She has had an open house where adults and children had the oportunity to ride and get to know more about horses.

I have seen Kristy Alvarez' work first hand over the years at Loftmar's Summer Camp, as a riding instructor, as the coach for the National Captial Adult Equestrian League, as a rider, and in how she has incororporated all she has learned into creating Desire Ministries. She developed the "Horse Club" program to allow children the opportunity to be around horses who may not otherwise have had the chance. She is on a quest to expand her ministry and purchase a stable where she can do her work full time. I believe she can do it!
