My organization at The Big Purple Barn has had the pleasure of partnering with Kristy and Desire through both the after school program they offer and the special needs community they serve. The horses and ponies at our sanctuary have provided the opportunity to allow individuals and horses to connect. Every time, Kristy is personally involved, very hands on, enthusiastic and brings great volunteers along with eager and excited visitors! We love to work with them and look forward to a lasting relationship!

I have witnessed firsthand how horses can impact a person's soul. They become a partner, a friend and help people do things that they did not think they could do as well as build confidence. Horses help instill confidence with their partnership. I have personally seen this over and over again. Kristy who started Desire Ministries is one of the most giving and kind people I have ever had the privilege of meeting. I have been fortunate to be involved with her since 2003 as my student, an employee and over the years become a friend. Kristy is honest, organized, has good business sence as well as she is very good at what she does. She readily shares her knowledge and compassion with others. I have observed adults as well as children enjoy learning from her. I have enjoyed seeing Kristy's dream develope and watch her continue to grow in the process. Desire Ministries is a much needed program which can help so many people and horses in the process. We will all be better for having her mission in our lives.

I had to the pleasure of working with Krisitie at my barn for 2 years and I witinessed first hand her love and compassion for horses and her ability to instill that love and dedication to her students. Kristie ran a weekly horsecamp for children. The camp was designed to teach children how to care for and receieve riding instruction with her horses Red and Occi. She truly enjoyed seeing the joy that horses can bring to a young child.

During the time she was here, Kristie also adopted her horse Occi that she found at a horse resuce facility. You truly can see her love for those less fortunate. I know Kristie can do great things with her ministry and I wish her all the best.

Please support my friend Kristie as she pusues her dreams.
