Can the spirit and culture of craigslist be used to help strengthencivil society. We think so. We''re in the lab looking at various ways tospark meaningful community engagement.
Specifically,Craigslist Foundation is looking at building a platform for civicengagement. Imagine a place to learn, share ideas and connect withlike-minded individuals. Whether through localized needs matching ortaking the pulse of policy at any level, we want to help inspire andconnect people and communities on all levels to become active andengaged.
Stay tuned as we continue to refineour vision, look to many exciting partnering opportunities, and buildour roadmap to re-launching our online presence. We''re even lookinginto changing our name to better reflect our new focus. We plan to beopen and transparent through this process and look forward tocontinuing to connect people with the resources they need to buildstronger communities.
Programs: Nonprofit Boot Camp (5,000+ Emerging Nonprofit Leaders), Nonprofit Support Yellow Pages, Project Entry Point (our online web presence at www.craigslistfoundation.org)
This was my first time at Bootcamp and I am new to the nonprofit industry. My goal was to explore and soak up information. It has been a great experience. (Collected in person at Bay Area Bootcamp 2008 and entered by a GreatNonprofits staff member).
