In 2005 when I was 1st injured my family and I struggled with bills and food and not knowing where we were going to stay after a honorable discharge but 0% from the Army. My wife and I continued to work various jobs to make ends meet. In 2008 we where fortunate enough to receive help from the Coalition to Salute Americas Heroes in which they payed our late payments on rent and utility bills that helped get us through the cold winters in Colorado. They also invited our family to attend a Road to Recovery conference which helped provide workshops and seminars to help get us back on track with sustainability for our future. Myself and my wife where both asked to be a part of a program within the Coalition to Salute Americas Heroes organization in the capacity of a call representative where we made thank you calls to our generous donor's that helped with our financial dilemma in 2005. If it was not for the Coalition to Salute Americas Heroes I don't know where we would be today. They have helped us sustain work and residency and we are very grateful that they continue to do this for many more veterans and their families. I also want to add how disheartening it is to see how some Veterans or spouses have tried to blemish this great organization after being helped themselves by them. I only pray that they will come to realize when they struggled this organization was there for them.
The Coalition to Salute America's Heroes is an amazing organization, that has helped my family immensely. They not only provide emergency assistance, but they also provide an opportunity for the Wounded Veteran, or their caregiver/spouse, to work from home and earn a living. Providing emergency assistance is so vital to our families, but providing an opportunity to establish a new career, can truly change someone's life. The Coalition to Salute America's Heroes has been an amazing blessing in our lives, and we will be eternally grateful!!
This was an absolute wonderful experience for myself and my husband. It helped us to bond so much more as a couple and it helped my husband (veteran) to deal with a lot of anxieties from PTSD and being around an entire group of people who knew the struggles we have been facing for years. Thank you so much for the amazing opportunity.
Coalition to support Americas heroes was extremely helpful to my family and I. While hospitalized , they took care of myimmediate financial burden and helped my family and I through a tough time. They were professional and courteous. I highly reccomend this organization!

Neida Sotomeyer was nothing less than amazing from start to finish! The amount of effort she put forth to assist me and my family was unmatched to say the least. The Coalition To Salute Americas Heroes is absolutely AMAZING and they are people of their word! I owe so much to Neida for the selfless service she provided while helping my family and I get back on our feet. Now because of the Coalition, I am able to start on the path to rebuilding my financial situation. Thank you so much!! You guys are a godsend!
Hi my name is ernie westhafer and I have recently received help from this organization and I am very happy and pleased to have gotten help from this organization they were very professional and fast I wouldn't ask any help from anyone else on that note please please veterans if you need help get ahold of them
We being a family with a disabled veteran as our head were in a bad place in 2015 our car needed a new engine and we didn’t have the funds to repair the vehicle! We applied to get financial assistance through The coalition to Salute America’s Heroes and they gave us the funds needed to get our vehicle repaired. Later that year they sent us money for Easter , thanksgiving, and Christmas for just a thank you for my military service it was an absolute god send for we didn’t even apply for the help for the holidays! We appreciate all the help and the charitable holiday support! Sometimes heroes need saving themselves and u really saved us in our time of need!
This nonprofit has been a great asset to my family. It has connected us with a network of other Veterans and caregivers who share in the daily struggles we do and truly understand our lives.
Wonderful organization who comes to the aid of our service members in need! Outstanding staff who organize and execute an unbelievable week of services and programs for healing within the military community. Road 2 Recovery is a week of military families coming together with employers, community services and federal organizations to make our military families stronger!
The Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes tirelessly provides services for not only military veterans but their entire families including their teens!! No other non profit that I’ve known has shown the military brats as much love and support as this one, as well as out vets and spouses!!
An amazing charity that, when I was at the lowest point in my life, stepped in to ensure I had food on my table and propane in my propane tank. They move with a quickness that is rare these days and have a genuine love for us veterans and our families and a majority of those working for them are veterans.
I don't know where I'd be without them.
My husband was injured in 2010. Since then the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes has helped our family through several different avenues. The Coalition has found a way to help veterans and their caregivers, at the same time allowing us to give back and assist in helping to aid at the same time. It is a unique organization- run by some of the best people I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with! Many of the caregivers and veterans that work for the program are so passionate about what they do, and the mission of the Coalition; they give out of their own pocket when they are able, in efforts to be able to assist and hire more veterans and caregivers. I really can't say enough good things about this organization
They have given me hope and a job where I work from home. This job allows me to be home with my wounded warrior and taking care of him. They helped with money for Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas. They are amazing people and really do want to help our veterans and their families.
The Coalition has provided a unique opportunity for veterans and their caregivers leaving their branch of Service. They are stepping in and providing not only emergency financial aid, but a community and family that so many are missing when they leave active duty. As the caregiver of a disabled veteran I can not speak highly enough about everything the Coalition To Salute Americas Heroes has done for us. Without them, their great programs, including the Road To Recovery, The Heroes Thanking Heroes Program and The Veterans Circle we would still twisting in the wind trying to navigate our way through post military life.
The Coalition to Salute America's Heroes was there for us during a time of need and I have nothing but good things to say about the wonderful staff. They treated us with the upmost respect and made us feel like family.
The Coalition has been nothing less than amazing. When I got back from Iraq, I was twisting in the wind. I had a house but no furniture, I was alone and hated everyone and trusted no one. My Army Wounded Warrior advocate put me in contact with them and, despite me telling them, in less than polite terms, to go away, they still reached out. From a bed that I still sleep on to actually putting groceries in my fridge, it gave me a start that I used to move forward.
I can't thank them enough. They truly put veterans first which makes sense since most of them are veterans.
Greatest help us wounded service members have at our side! Was right there when we needed help after vandals destroyed my vehicle. They saved us!!!! Thank you
The Coalition to Salute America's heroes helped my family when we were about to fall apart. My husband was severely injured in Afghanistan when he stepped on an IED. Life became very difficult at a rapid speed and I began experiencing depression that could have easily torn apart my family as I was at my breaking point. I was told about the Heroes Thanking Heroes program and this was truly an answer to my prayers. Being able to work from home so that I can still assist my husband with his daily living activities is an opportunity that NO other organization offers our Veterans/Caregivers. I had became so wrapped up in caring for my family that I forgot about myself. I lost communication with those close to me and refused to ask for help. The Coalition to Salute America's Heroes was there for me in my greatest time of need and continues to be there for my family on a daily basis. I didn't have to ask for assistance because they offered me a part-time job. I've seen first hand the wonderful work/programs that are being offered to our Veterans and I can truly say that my heart is completely with the organization entirely. And what credibility do I have!? I am the proud wife and caregiver of a triple amputee Veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom. I live the life of a wounded warrior family every second of every day. I stand by my husband proudly which may have not been the outcome had I not found the love, support, and guidance of the wonderful staff with the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes.
I am a caregiver to a wounded marine and the coalition helped my family when we needed it the most. The Coalition to Salute America's Heroes is a wonderful organization that continues to support wounded veterans and their families. I have been blessed by the Coalition many times over and I can't say enough how much they have helped my family and other families like mine. Thank you for all you have done for us, we are forever grateful.
I'm a veteran who has been honorably discharged and currently facing a financial hardship. I discovered this organization online, and decided to reach out for assistant. i was directed to complete an online application. While filling out the application, the system kept prompting me that I was not eligible because I did not meet ONE OR MORE of the following criteria: *disabled veteran with 30% or more disability rating
*honorable discharge (which I meet)
*service connected injury from OIF/OEF
*facing servere financial hardship (which I meet)
I then called the office to explain to them how the system kept promoting me, and the head of veteran services there kept trying to say that I didn't meet the requirements. After I explained to her that I did meet two of the four requirements, she began to speak to me as if I were a child, not understanding what the website stated. I guess my complaint is, unless you are disabled, or have a service connected injury, you will not be helped from this organization. I wish they'd clear up the miscommunication, and convey that they will only help disabled and service connected veterans only, instead of having other (non disabled) veterans who have served their country as well, waste time trying to find help at a place where they have no intentions to assist.
I was in a process of getting evicted from our apartment and "Coalition support America's heroes" stepped in to assist me and my family, even after that the organization continued to send me and my family cards to let us know that we are in their minds and heart.......truly a great organization that cares those who served
