I’m writing these words to express my sincere appreciation to Children of Vietnam (COV) for all the things the organisation has provided me for the last four years. I truly own it a great debt of gratitude.
COV's support and help have changed my life in a positive way. I once thought of stopping my dream of higher education in the first year of university due to my difficulties in earning a living as well as my inability to pay the tuition fee. Fortunately, the organisation came to me as a light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks to its tuition fee and monthly living expense allowances, I could continue and realize my dream which seems to help me build a brighter future. Just 2 days ago, a COV' member from U.S. gave me his motorbike he had used when he was in Vietnam (the photo). It truly gives a big support to my current job hunting.
Not only has COV supported my finances but the organisation has also supported my mind. Its care and helps have brought me a strong belief that I am cared about, I am supported and I am not alone on the long way ahead. Living in difficult circumstances sometimes gets very discouraging so it is glad to know someone out there still cares about and supports me. The belief has been one of the strongest motives to push me forward. If I hadn’t been supported by all of you while my life had been surrounded by all the darkness, I wouldn’t have a mind strong enough to nourish the dream of a bright future.
Also, COV has created a good environment for me and other beneficiaries to develop ourselves. Humanitarian activities we have ourselves conducted with the organization’s encouragement and support as well as fee-free extra-curricular activities and English classes the organization has carried out for us have contributed to preparing us for our job hunting in the near future. To me, being the Master of Ceremonies (MC) for the humanitarian campaign “Cycle out Child Poverty in Vietnam” is certainly an unforgettable memory in my life. It was the chance that I did something though small for COV in return. Surely I will always do my best to contribute to the organization’s development and to bring opportunities to people in need like COV does.
