CHERISH Home has been a blessing to many children giving joy, hope, happiness and future to many lives. I personally visited the orphange many times; learned life lessons from these kids. David anna (brother) and his family have put all their efforts and dedicated their life to run this orphange. All the children are disciplined, well behaved, studious, blessed with talents such as playing musical instruments, sports, etc. I wish and pray God that they have a permanent home to run the orphange. I was really blessed by visiting Cherish Home.
I came into contact with Cherish couple of years back when we started an orphan network in Hyderabad. Ever since I had contacted with Cherish foundation I admired at the admin and the family atmosphere in the home.
48 in mats as on today 23 boys and 25 girls in different age groups in two different accommodations but close to each other under a friendly management by the adult inmates and foster parents Mrs and Mr David
In fact in general there is a tendency for children to abscond from child care institutions or children homes. But here 39 are residing since their admission in the home for the past fourteen years. The others were integrated in families. As on now 2 completed their college and four are in final year graduation and Post graduation in different specializations.
Whenever I visit I enjoy seeing these kids and young adults enjoying in extracurricular activities such as music, dance, crafts, art, indoor and outdoor games, painting and designing and gardening. They are also good cooks, can cook for large numbers as five star hotel chefs. The visitors are given warm welcome and treated has VIPs and give very good hospitality. When they sing and play music we will forget the surroundings and admire at them.
Nearly 12 of these children are well recognized by their colleges/schools and even in society for their talents and for their voluntary services and social events, in government projects designed for downtrodden people of the society. They also started a Leo Club of Cherish (Lions Club)
Above all the love that bonds between inmates and the foster parents is so great. I love them. >
The staff at Room to Grow are devoted to supporting new families and changing their experiences of parenthood by offering guidance, encouragement and care as well as a magnificent array of material goods. As a consultant to the clinical staff I have been impressed by the knowledge, thoughtfullness and joy that the clinical staff bring to their work with families.
