I volunteered with Cats at the Studios for more than 15 years, trapping cats and kittens, getting them neutered, and then releasing most cats, but getting the kittens and adoptable cats new forever homes. I stopped only when my age demanded it.
Through the years I have received emails and phone calls from people who adopted from me, telling me how happy they have been and how glad they are that they found Cats at the Studios. They have even sent pictures to me.
Cats at the Studios is the one place where people who want new "family members" should go.
CATS INC. is the oldest cat rescue group in the San Fernando Valley area of Southern California. Last year, sadly we lost one of the founders, Elyse Mayberry. This wonderful woman worked tirelessly to help save homeless cats.
However, this group is still going STRONG! We have wonderful volunteers always pitching in helping to spay/neuter/tnr to farel cat colonies.
They hold countless adoption events on the weekends.
This wonderful group does way beyond the call of duty to help those in need.

Cats at the Studios, Inc. is one of the oldest and most reputable cat rescue groups in Southern California.
Elyse Mayberry is the founder of this wonderful, non-profit organization. CATS Inc has placed hundreds of rescued cats in loving adoptive homes.
I'm in charge of their data base and I have also adopted one of their wonderful, loving kitties, Bonnie.
Elyse and the other volunteers work tirelessly in fostering their rescues and do have a screening process concerning those who adopt their kitties.
I would heartily recommend not only donating funds to this group, but adopting a cat from them as well.
Cats at the Studios Inc. has served the San Fernando Valley Community for over 40 years. This dedicated team of fosters works tirelessly to rescue and bottle feed kittens around the clock. Many kittens and cats are pulled from the overcrowded local shelters just minutes before euthanasia, cared for, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and adopted to wonderful families. There are no paid employees only volunteers. Donations are welcome and needed. Paypal to: CatsAtTheStudios@yahoo.com. Thank you for helping us continue to rescue more homeless kittens and cats.
Dear Cat Community, I am looking for help with three Beautiful cats that need our help. They are stuck in an apartment that has Mold, I need help to trap them, and get them rehab to be ready for adoption. They are all under three years old, right now they are afraid, because they don't know what is going on.The white tiger cat with blue eyes is Samatha, she was six months old when taken off the street, her left ear is cut. Sunny boy blue is the Siamese cat, He was my first trap, I got him at 3 months old, and socialized him. He is really a sweet cat. Sage is the baby, she is a love bug, she was trapped at 1.5 months old, she needs to be fixed. Before this happened, they were all very sweet, and like to play. Please contact me if you can help or know someone or a group that can help. They are in the Woodland Hills, Winnetka area of the Valley. Thank you, and have a nice day,Lisa
Cats Inc is a wonderful organization. Comprised 100% of volunteers, truly caring for all the kitties. From reaching out with TNR, to help bottle feeding, fostering and finding great homes. I would recommend Cats At The Studios to all!!
Cats Inc. is one of the oldest ALL VOUNTEER non-profits in Los Angeles. Each year they rescue, foster, nurture, socialize, adopt, bottle feed, trap and bail out more cats than the year before. They have expanded their adoption events beyond Petco Westlake, Moorpark, Northridge and Woodland Hills to include C&C Pet Food in Burbank and Veterinary Angels in Agoura. All of their rescued cats and kittens are fostered in private homes and receive the TLC they so desperately deserve after suffering relinquishment at shelters by owners, born to homeless mommies in cold garages, dumped in parks or left behind after their pet parents move or suffer an injury. They take on special needs kitties that have been hit by cars or suffering from illness. Cats Inc. offers TNR training to help individuals to help their communities to spay and neuter their free-roaming community cats. They also train volunteers on fostering & bottle-feeding. Most of their volunteers work full-time jobs, but these tireless cat advocates continue on their mission long into the night.
I have been with Cats at the Studios for at least eight years. I can't even count how many cats and kittens we have saved from impossible situations. Some of the best teamwork I have ever seen happens at Catsinc. Anywhere from trapping so we can spay and neuter the feral population to picking up unweaned kittens late at night so they will not be euthanized. We all have stayed up all night bottle feeding tiny little babies or nursing sick kittens or cats. Our free time is spent taking our fosters to be fixed, vaccinated or back and fourth to vets for medical care. The rest of our time is spent at adoptions finding them the perfect forever home. We are family here and are always available to each other and any feline in need! There isn't anything I would rather be doing!
I have worked with Jodi Slater of Cats at the Studio for about three years now. Jodi has taught me how to trap, feed, foster, "Who NOT to adopt to", about meds, bottle feeding , the works! She has been a great mentor and has assisted in feeding and trapping several cats in our neighborhood! THank you JODI SLATER! Toni
I've worked as a foster with this organization and they've done so many wonderful things and it has been such a joy to work with them!
I have been a volunteer with Cats at the Studios, Inc. for 5 years, and have worked/volunteered with several other animal rescues during that time. Cats at the Studios is the real deal, and I consider myself very blessed to have discovered them. CATS Inc. is run by a small, but highly dedicated and selfless group of volunteers who devote countless hours, resources, and personal finances to save as many abandoned cat and kittens as possible. Each person involved with the rescue plays a unique and significant role in the mission of CATS Inc - to nurture, spay & neuter, and find loving homes for the most helpless of animals. I consider it an honor to call myself a member of this team.

Having volunteered with several other non-profit rescues, I can confidently say that CATS Inc far outweighs them all. The other volunteers I have worked with truly dedicate their lives to the cause of rescuing homeless cats and kittens, often times making it their full time job. They love what we do and are committed for life. They give generously of their time, finances, and homes in an effort to make a difference to the enormous number of homeless animals in LA. Elyse Mayberry, the founder, has made CATS Inc her life mission, having worked tirelessly for 30+ years for this organization. The volunteer team has become like a family to me. Fostering and adopting is not easy work, but we all care for one another and support one another in whatever ways we can, and that's what makes us an effective team, despite our limited resources. We love our rescue cats!
I have been with Cats at the Studios for 14 years. I started off fostering with my daughter as a fun project to do together. I am the one who ended up finding my passion. I love all the volunteers like family. We are all in it for the right reasons. Saving these helpless babies from off the streets and making sure they all find their forever homes is very rewarding.
I have been a volunteer with Cats At The Studios for 30 years. I can't say enough about Elyse and all of the volunteers. Everyone is there when needed. I thank Elyse and the volunteers for 30 years of wonderful memories. Thousands of cats and kittens have found homes because of this organization. Thank you.
Cats At The Studios remains the most respected feline rescue organization. I volunteered for Elise Mayberry when we worked at The Burbank Studios (the lot was shared by Warner Bros/Columbia Pictures back then). I heard about the woman who fed and cared for the feral cats on the lot and wanted to lend a hand. That was more than 3 decades ago, and I remain in awe of her devotion and excellent work, and how she inspires others to get involved.

Saving the lives of homeless kitties has always been very important to me. Working as a volunteer with Cats At The Studios to save the lives of these animals has been so rewarding. Together we have rescued many homeless adult cats and countless litters of kittens, that have now all found their "forever" homes after fostering and placement through Cats At The Studios. Working with this group of truly dedicated volunteers has been both a pleasure and an honor. It is truly satisfying to know that our efforts do make a difference and we are saving so many precious lives every day.
Being apart of this group of volunteers has been an unbelievable honor. My wife grandfathered me into the volunteer circle after having been apart of it on her own for some time. Not only did the other volunteers graciously accept both of us, but they became a small community. When everyone comes together and gives of themselves for the benefit of the common good, which in our case is saving these animals lives, it is a beautiful thing.
This group is run very efficiently, professionally and personally. Once you adopt a cat from them you become part of their family. There is a true care for these animals, not just to get them out the door, but to provide a healthy/safe/happy life for them. You can tell by the joy this group derives from helping each feline find their "forever home."
Cats at the Studios is one of the most reputable rescues in Los Angeles. The cats are taken care of as if they were the personal pets of the fosters. All the cats and kittens that are taken in are given the best veterinary care without regard to cost. If the kitty needs something, the kitty gets it. Their adoption rates are phenomenal, which indicates how well the cats are treated.
For over 30 years, Cats at the Studios, Inc. has operated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue group dedicated to caring for homeless pets in our communities by fostering them in their own homes until loving homes can be found and they are adopted. The volunteers work diligently to educate the public, especially children, on the vital importance of pet sterilization, responsible pet ownership and the humane treatment of animals.
Volunteers actively participate in the TNRF (Trap-Neuter-Return-Feed) of numerous feral cat colonies in the San Fernando Valley, thereby reducing the rodent population. The dream is to transform all pet orphans into pampered pets, in responsible homes of their homes. Abandoned pets deserve a second chance and everyone can help make a difference. Join us!
