Mission: The Caribbean Education Foundation, Inc. (CEF) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping poor children receive meaningful access to quality education in the Caribbean.
Our current mission country is Jamaica. For example, in Jamaica, PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION IS NOT FREE. Many poor children are unable to attend high school because families cannot afford the costs.
CEF awards scholarships to children who are unable to attend school, because families are unable to pay school fees and other required school related costs. Our Student Scholarships pay school fees, purchase text books, school supplies, uniforms, meals and transportation.
CEF’s goal is to take action, to ensure things will change to break the poverty cycle and give our youth meaningful choices and opportunities in this world.
Results: CEF has already awarded 40 student scholarships in excess of $50,000 U.S. dollars to brilliant, under-served students in Jamaica in 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2012. It plans to continue to help many more children in 2013.
Target demographics: CEF awards scholarships to children at all levels of education who are unable to attend public school because parents cannot pay the tuition and other school related costs.
However, CEF current focus is on poor children ages 10-17 years old who are unable to attend Junior High and High School in Jamaica. Our Scholarships pay school fees, purchase text books, school supplies, uniforms, meals and transportation.
Direct beneficiaries per year: 18 children in need of an education.

CEF has been doing an excellent job helping needy, deserving children to go to high school in Jamaica. CEF scholarships pay their school fees, textbooks, uniforms, transportation and lunch. Without CEF, these bright children would not be able to go to school. Keep up the good work CEF!
CEF is about action: translating ideas into action, bringing resources to bear to execute actions, and creating meaningful change through action. Having served on the Advisory Board since shortly after CEF's inception, I have seen firsthand the shared committment to action that not only NIkiki, but the entire board shares. This is also reflected in the core activities of CEF. At it's heart, CEF is about improving education, one child at a time, not through noble sentiment and words, but through the simple, tangible action of funding a child's books and school materials. By focusing on tangible action, CEF stays true to its core purpose and achieves it regardless of the resource restraints we face.
Since the conception of this organization until today's accomplishment, founder Nikiki Bogle has taken this organization beyond expectation. Education of the youth is definitely the foundation of the future. We all know it, but very few can take real actions and make something happen. This organization made many things happened. It provided great future and opportunities for many bright young students. It other words, this foundation is providing solid buildling blocks of the future for our humanity.
I am person who was born and rise in the intercity of Jamaica like many of these students I know first hand what it is like to go to school and needing help with financies. CEF is a great organization that is giving students the opportunity to go to school and become someone great in live, because many of these students do not have finincal support without CEF they would be out of school working some dead end job, or walking the streets. CEF is also giving them the chance to reach their greatest potencial.
