I guess their call was helpful teaching me about potential scams... I'm a cancer survivor. Donate to the American Cancer society or local hospital/university cancer center you know and trust. Or spend good time with a survivor you know to help. Cut out the fundraiser middle man. I think I got something in mail from this foundation a week ago and ignored it. They called today, said sent something twice and wanted credit card donation. Said too much $ to mail foundation info again. Call was from Greensboro NC but gave me address in Lansing to send donation. Called back the # and got loud-mouthed ad for chance to win $10k. My internet research found much the same as the others here. Shame...

I got a call from these jerks shortly after my wife died of breast cancer. I pledged more than they asked for. When I got their letter, it occurred to me that I should look them up. Boy, am I glad I did!!!
When I finally found their 990, I would not have believed my eyes if I had not read reviews on this site. The 990 clearly states that 72% of their funds went to fundraising expenses for 2014! There is no shame!!
By the way, their letter showed a Texas address.

Well, thanks to these reviews, I won't be giving to this organization. I also received a letter saying that I had pledged but I do not remember doing so. It seems even if you give to a legit organization, next thing you know, you are bombarded with requests from many others. Although I gave one star, I really have no experience with them other than the letter I received.

I don't usually answer calls like this, but This time I did. I finally said a firm maybe for a small contribution. When the mailing came, I tried to find out about the organization's rating, but could not find it even listed in most web sites. Appreciated finding this one. Their literature tells nothing about what they actually do.

Got a letter addressed to my dead mother thanking her for her recent telephone pledge towards this "charity" Still shaking my head trying to figure out how they talked to her! I'd give anything for one moment of conversation with her. The letter greatly upset my Dad who stills mourns his beloved wife. I'd mark this organization under SCAM!
