AEM is a unique ministry. There are other ministries that focus on equipping Christians to live holy lives, and there are of course many organizations to help artists network with each other and improve their craft, but as far as I know, AEM is the only organization that integrates both of these. AEM has been instrumental in encouraging me to be a better artist (musician) and a more mature Christian, and to navigate the sometimes difficult territory of being a follower of Christ and an artist at the same time. I have known AEM founders Joel and Mich Pelsue for ten years, and they are two of the most honest, loving, and passionate people that I've ever met. Just spending an hour with them, you come away inspired to love Jesus and to want to create great art! The "Arts & Entertainment Institute" that they've put together will blow your mind... it's like an advanced degree in art and theology packed into two days, all with a very practical focus. If you're serious about art AND Christianity, I guarantee it will change you.
I started volunteering for Arts & Entertainment Ministries (AEM) when it first launched and have recently accepted their offer to join their board. Through this organization I have fine tuned my understanding of art and culture and my role as an artist and patron. The founders care about the church as a whole, not just the arts, but they see the great opportunity and calling to do their part for the kingdom through specifically redeeming artists and the arts. They are the most well-rounded in this goal of any arts ministry I've seen. As an example, they are one of the only ministries focused on all genres of art, not just cinema.
