I've donated to this organization for many years and they do wonderful work. I'm happy with their rating on Charity Navigator and happy to see that the CEO's pay is within reason. They hold animal abusers accountable for their actions and work on behalf of animals to bring those who would harm the innocent to justice. So grateful for their work!

ALDF takes up everyday causes on behalf of suffering animals, from companion pets to animals in laboratories. They do a fantastic job representing the best interests of animals everywhere.

This charity fights for those who cannot fight for themselves - animals. They use their legal expertise to fight for animals like Tony the Truck Stop tiger, whose owner refuses to obey the law and give him to an accredited sanctuary where he could have much more room, better food, better health, and enrichment. They are reasonable, intelligent, and kind, even as they stubbornly fight. This is an animal charity you can contribute to with confidence.

We hear horror stories everyday about animals being abused, tortured, slaughtered, starved, and we weep and try to help as best we can as donors. It is the ALDF, though, that goes after the perpetrators of these atrocities and this group is the only legal group i know that can fight for our animals in court and know the legislation governing the crime. I hope it grows and grows. I have a dear friend, a litigation attorney, who will retire in two years and will seek to join this group of fighters for those who have no voice. ALDF is in my modest will along with a few other animal groups. Think about supporting it now and including it in your will.

There are many great non-profits out there helping animals. I think ALDF is a very strong, commendable, organization that I am proud to support. The battle to prevent, protect from, and punish cruelty to animals is widespread, but the spearhead is in the courts. Without strong laws it doesn't matter how wrong something is, abusers get off with little or no punishment and continue their abuse. Without dedicated lawyers to go to bat for animals, and for people fighting to defend an animal, we can make very little progress. The ALDF is on the front lines of pursuing convictions for animal cruelty. Thank you all so much for all your work and dedication. And thanks to all animal lovers out there for standing up for the animals that are so often thrown out and disregarded.

This is a wonderful charity. They do amazing work and fight tirelessly for the rights of non-human animals that suffer under the human hand. A truly noble organization. The morals of man can be directly gauged by how man treats non-human animals.

Other non-profit animal organizations seem to place a bucket underneath a leaking faucet of animal problems; whereas, the ALDF works to fix the leak. The ALDF is a great organization and will be my only charity for life.

I READ THE REVIEWER (JOANNE) AND CHECKED OTHER CHARITIES OF THIS TYPE AND FOUND HER NAME ON THEIR REVIEWS. SHE LIES AND MAKES UP REDICULOUS BAD STORIES ABOUT THESE CHARITIES AND IS A REALLY BAD PERSON AS WELL AS A TOTAL MORON. PLEASE DON'T BELIEVE HER AWFUL/NEGATIVE COMMENTS. THIS IS A THOUGHTFUL AND ADMIRABLE CHARITY; I HAVE BEEN DONATING TO THEM FOR SEVERAL YEARS.

There are few groups as effective as the Animal Legal Defense Fund within the animal protection movement. I know when i give to ALDF it is going to directly help animals. I'm thankful such a group exists that is truly making a difference for animals. Thanks to all at ALDF for the work you do to make this a better world for the non-human animals with whom we share this planet-- and for speaking up for those without a voice.

The ALDF is a wonderful organization that has done a lot to help get justice for animals. I really appreciate everything they've done on behalf of Tony the Truck Stop Tiger in Louisiana, as well as all of their efforts to promote the humane treatment and protection of animals.

When I lost my job last year, I knew I could only donate to a precious few causes anymore...I had to choose carefully. Ultimately, I chose ALDF alone. Through my animal rights circles, as well as my own research, I kept noticing how proactive the ALDF was on important issues. It consistantly provided detailed information to its followers which instilled confidence in me that my donations were being put to good use. I will donate to ALDF as long as I can!

The ALDF inspires me because they are really doing the legwork - setting a standard for the future - by attending trials, engaging in litigation and educating the public about animal welfare. Their recent victory in court, on behalf of Tony the Tiger, was exactly why the ALDF deserves recognition for all their hard work.

I think the work you do on behalf of the animals is extraordinary! Most who go into law do it for the purpose of making money or as a stepping stone to other things, so for your people to work on behalf of animals who have no money to offer you in return for your services is admirable. I applaud your work on behalf of those who can't speak for themselves. The cruelty that is aimed at animals every day of every hour in this country is unacceptable and I firmly believe you are a leading force in the animal welfare campaign for justice! By changing the laws and prosecuting criminals Americans and those all over the world will come to acknowledge this generations civil rights movement on behalf of animals.

ALDF is a great organization that takes a common-sense approach towards contributing in a fairly unique way. Laws at the federal, state and local level are written by harried politicians and enforced by harried prosecutors; ALDF helps create and enforce these laws because nobody else will (everyone is busy with other and "more important" issues). Basic animal cruelty laws that exist today were created by folks like ALDF in the past, so please don't regard them as extremists. Thank you for reading.

I support the ALDF on both a professional and personal basis. From a professional standpoint, ALDF has consistently and successfully crafted novel theories of law to increase legal protection of animals and enhance the legal protections available to animals under existing laws. And personally, there has never been a time when I called upon ALDF with a question or concern that I did not receive a thorough and reliable response. An excellent example of the forward thinking work of ALDF was in Virginia in 2008. In the wake of the Michael Vick tragedy, the ALDF drafted a bill approved by the Virginia Assembly and signed by the governor adding dog fighting to the list of crimes that can be prosecuted under the Virginia Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization (RICO) laws. ALDF gets the job done.

I am a great believer in the work that ALDF does in helping animals through the legal system. It is evident that the folks at ALDF are hard working, passionate and caring individuals. Not only am I impressed with all of the accomplishments of their individual cases they undertake, but also it is exciting to hear about the work that they do to support the growing field of animal law in the education system. They have taken great strides to affect real change in how animals are perceived in the eyes of the law (and general public) and continue to sow the seeds for a better future.
