On 7/27/2014, I ran the San Francisco Worth-The-Hurt 52.4 mile double marathon and raised over $10,000 for this group of angels. That's how much I believe in what they do.

I donate to a lot of different non-profits but I donate most to ALDF because they talk the talk and walk the walk. All of their employees are vegan ... they live for their work to help animals from abuse and suffering. There's no organization out there like them ... battling for animals a case at a time in the courtroom.

Unless animal rights are legally recognised most efforts to protect their welfare will have limited impact. Securing legal rights globally and ensuring they are adhered to is so critical.

My experience at Animal Legal Defense Fund has been one I will remember forever. My worldview has changed on the treatment of animals and I feel more passionate than ever to go out and help. ALDF works their hardest every single day to stop the cruelty towards animals and is always positive in many not so positive situations. ALDF should be recognized more in my opinion, because by working through the legal system, they are able to implement life long changes for animal rights. They are an incredible organization and I would highly suggest donating or volunteering for this wonderful non-profit.

This is a wonderful charity. They do amazing work and fight tirelessly for the rights of non-human animals that suffer under the human hand. A truly noble organization. The morals of man can be directly gauged by how man treats non-human animals.

Other non-profit animal organizations seem to place a bucket underneath a leaking faucet of animal problems; whereas, the ALDF works to fix the leak. The ALDF is a great organization and will be my only charity for life.

I got involved with ALDF during the 2005 Woodley case, and have been involved ever since. ALDF is an amazing group of individuals who's goal in life is to protect animals. From saving dogs from abusive puppy mills to saving elephants and tigers being exploited for human entertainment - ALDF takes on the abusers and doesn't stop until the animals are safe.

ALDF is a wonderful organization. The people here are extremely dedicated to advancing animal interests and they work tirelessly to do so. My experience has been great, and I would encourage others to get involved in animal issues through ALDF.

Animal Legal Defense Fund (ALDF) gives legal advice and representation to help animals who would otherwise not receive legal help. Many advocates who try to help animals cannot afford to take legal action when that avenue becomes necessary. ALDF provides that legal assistance. There is so little help for suffering animals in our society. Organizations like ALDF put legal advocacy within the grasp of people who want to help animals and the animals they are trying to help. ALDF has been willing to help us as we try to get the long-suffering Woodland Park Zoo elephants to a more elephant-friendly life out of their life-threatening confined zoo environment. It is obvious to me that this organization is critically needed in the struggle to help suffering animals in our legal system.
