Has this organization been reported to the Attorney General's office? I receive newsletters with memorials, raffle tickets, donation requests, but no information like who is on the board of directors, requests for volunteers, or even stories from the streets. They needed to be checked out since they may be taking money from well-meaning people fraudulently.
I attended a World Congress for Animals outside Towson circa 1995....all major organizations were represented: HSUS, ASPCA, WWF, PETA as well as vendors, Body Shop, etc. Jane Goodall and Cleveland Amory were speakers...Alley Animals had the only 'booth' I returned to over/over = before/after pic's of the animals they had snagged from the alleys. Nearly 20 yrs later they are the ONLY group I give, what pittance I have, w/o hestitation. They are volunteers, no big salaries, no jingles, no big celebraties asking for money ( who earn more than in a week than I do in a year). I respect this group as the front line warriors they are. I wish I could join them.
Alley Animals is a nonprofit animal rescue made up of very dedicated volunteers who go out every night feeding orphaned dogs and cats they can't catch and taking in those they can catch. I have found two stray cats and called on them for help. They never have turned one away and one kitty was pregnant. They do remarkable work to help save those who have been tossed out, neglected or born because humans don't realize how important it is to neuter or spay their pets. I make a couple of donations a year and hope that others will also see the importance of this wonderful nonprofit. They also take in food, blankets and other things to help the animals.
