Mission: A Window Between Worlds is dedicated to cultivating and supporting a network of transformative arts programs that empower individuals and communities impacted by violence and trauma.

Results: Over 25 years, more than 200,000 children, women and men have participated in A Window Between Worlds healing arts workshops at partnering organizations across the country.

Target demographics: children, women and men affected by violence and trauma, including domestic violence and at-risk children and youth, veterans and their families, marginalized communities, those receiving mental health services, and others.

Direct beneficiaries per year: In 2016, AWBW worked with 1,284 facilitators at 365 locations, reaching 32,394 participants.

Geographic areas served: AWBW partners with shelters, outreach centers, schools and other human service agencies across the US. Nearly 70% of our programs are in California, with close to 40% in the Los Angeles area.

Programs: AWBW offers trainings, stipends, curriculum, supplies and support in launching and sustaining arts programming to partnering organizations our focus is providing facilitators with the trauma-informed tools needed to create a safe, nonjudgmental space for participants to express themselves in new ways, to find new solutions to the challenges they face, and to discover renewed hope in moving forward.
