Magic truly loves the birds and cares for their wellbeing. You can tell that the birds really love him too! This sanctuary looks and feels like a tropical rainforest. It is amazing how much Magic has done for the birds, he has completely dedicated his life to it. I strongly encourage anyone who loves birds to volunteer or donate to help out!
Had an awesome time yesterday meeting all of these beautiful feather babies at Zaksee Bird Sanctuary. The owner is a wonderful man who has an honest and palpable passion for helping birds.
As soon as we arrived we were greeted by an echoing chorus of excited "Hello!"s by the parrots kept there. In my time there I was able to meet birds with a wide range of personalities! There is the one that greets you with the cutest "Meow!" Another one's "Hello" was in a very cultured English accent and there's even one who presents himself as "I am Chaos!" while he dances to some imaginary rock tune
My bird has been at Zaksee Florida Bird Sanctuary for four years now. I had him for 7 years and couldn't take care of him anymore since I live in the Chicago and he was very loud. This bird sanctuary is the best place for him. The man who runs the nonprofit loves him as much as I do and he takes in many birds that are abandoned, or abused. Its an amazing and beautiful place.
I've volunteered for Magic for nearly 3 months now! He is eccentric, selfless, and bighearted! I can't think of a better person for the job he does.
Last year I was fortunate to meet Magic when I dropped off several bags of parrot food for donation. Little did I know that his beautiful tropical santuary would immediately become my second home and the parrots my new flock of children. I've been volunteering a few days a week since the first day.
Magic's love and care for each bird is a bond like no other, and through his expansive knowledge of birds and their handling, I've been lucky to have forged a bond with several of the birds, and now sponsor a small macaw.
Because of Magic and the volunteer staff's loving care of the parrots, I would not hesitate to place a bird at Zaksee Bird Santuary if I was not able to keep it myself.
Zaksee is great! The man who runs this place really loves his birds and does everything he can to make sure they're healthy and happy. He needs a lot of help cuz he does basically all of the work whenever volunteers are not around. Please donate to this great nonprofit.

I can attest to the "Magic" of Zaksee Florida Bird Sanctuary, having left my 10 year old umbrella cockatoo, Cirque, in the care of Magic and his loving volunteers, just 2 weeks ago. This was one of the most difficult things I have ever had to do but after visiting Zaksee's, I knew it was the right place for my "baby" who had returned to plucking his feathers probably out of boredom. Zaksee's, on Gardner Rd, is the perfect setting for parrots; you really feel like you are in a jungle or rain forest! Cirque's favorite place to be is "outside" and now he can say it all he wants and enjoy being "outside" with approximately 100 other parrots who reside there. I returned to the Sanctuary twice after leaving him, to be sure he was adjusting well. I found Cirque and all the other parrots to be well cared for, loved and paid attention to by many, many people who love birds, just like I do! It was very reassuring! I have since returned to Virginia; Magic has sent me videos and photos of Cirque being "outside" and enjoying the beautiful Florida sunshine, screaming along with all the other parrots and truly loving life! Thank you Magic and your many volunteers for loving my Cirque, and giving him the attention he was so craving! I look forward to returning in the future to work alongside your volunteers. I am also signed up as a monthly financial donor, as I whole heartedly believe in the "Magic" of Zaksee's.

My 2 babies now call this place home. I visit them weekly still and can say they are very happy. I looked at other rescues and so called sanctuaries. Nobody loves birds more than magic and i would put money on that.
I monitor all volunteer interactions through the PEACE Volunteer Center at the University of Tampa, and the Zaksee Florida Bird Sanctuary is one of our favorite community partners! The staff is kind and compassionate and their love for the work at the sanctuary is evident in every interaction. They are accommodating and simply excited to share their work with the community.
Thanks to Magic for accepting our African Grey into his facility. I know our Mickey is well taken care of and will be a very happy in his new home. Because of health issues with both my husband and I we could no longer take care of Mickey they way he needed.
An amazing place for my parrot. I trust Magic completely in caring for my bird and giving him the attention I wasn't able to give him. Here are some reasons why I love Zaksee Florida Bird Sanctuary: 1. Magic encourages me to come and visit my bird whenever I can. 2. My bird is in a large cage that he can fly around in. 3. The birds are his life and their needs always come before his. He is always thinking of new ways to make their life better and more like their natural environment. Why do you think they will not give it to you , if you are dumb then you get what you deserve .

After visiting Zaksee I was so impressed by the work of one man, they call him Magic. Not only every single bird in the sanctuary love this man and every bird come to him and give him kisses but the place is look like nutrural environment for parrots.
I visited hundreds of sanctuary all over country but never saw a single place like this befor. Not only he never got a penny for his work but he also spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to get the best place in most prestigious area of Tampa, Florida to house his birds, he calls them his kids.
When I asked about breeding or saleing any of his parrots, he said he is the only parrot sanctuary in the world that will give $500,000 if anyone's bring a single proof of breeding or selling of parrot. Now this is one true and honest parrot lover that you can not find anywhere but Zaksee, that is why they are the best parrot sanctuary in the world.
They also call him parrot master since
not only few universities go there to learn about parrots but some universities graduate, veterinarian, people with multiples PHD and directors of other organizations been using his work and Tallent for years on how to handle parrots. I saw so many things that I can write a book about it in my short visit to Zaksee and he never trust just any vet for his kids but the best in the country.

What an amazing person and place...Definitely the best sanctuary out there. As soon as I met Magic, I knew that my Senegal Higgins had found his place to be. I feel very blessed to have met Magic and know Higgins is having an amazing life at Zaksee. Very proud to be a part of this sanctuary and can't wait to see its amazing future.
Unbelievable place to visit. I loved all of the large birds, and listening to all of the birds talking to me from different directions. One aviary had 3 greenwing macaws, 3 blue and gold macaws, a military macaw and a harlequin macaw. Absolutely beautiful! This place is a must see on a weekend when you have some spare time.
Zaksee Florida Bird Sanctuary is by far the best sanctuary to place your parrot. Magic, the owner/CEO for Zaksee does not breed, sell, trade, or offer the birds in his care up for adoption in fact, he gives each and every bird in the sanctuary his undivided love and attention. You just know the birds there love him back as well. As soon as we arrived at the sanctuary with Magic and approached the aviaries the birds all flocked over to us and followed him everywhere he went. The love is mutual and I am quite stunned that ANYONE would say anything otherwise. Magic backs everything he says and returns all calls, emails and texts personally. I had a 13 year old mumbrella cockatoo I had to place with Magic and he still returns my calls, texts and emails no matter how many times I call email or text. He is a kind, patient and caring person. If you have to give up your feathered baby for any reason you can rest assured that they will be happy, healthy, loved and well taken care of at Zaksee Florida Bird Sanctuary.
Please do not leave your parrot with this man and his organization. He will take your birds and sell them, he does not care for these birds at all. He has NO VET skills, and is a fraud. I went to see his venue and i was shocked to see how these birds are treated! Please do not take your special friend to this bird sanctuary. Your lil friend will never be happy in this place.

Who Is Kevin M , We are so sorry about you , This is the best place in State of Florida, Zaksee is the Only Bird Sanctuary that will pay $1,000,000.00 if anyone bring a single case of breeding, seling parrot, if you can find another sanctuary that can give you same guaranteed like Zaksee you might get up to $1000 , if any Sanctuary said they are the best and they don't breed or sell should give you what Zaksee give, $1,000.000.00 , We know who Kevin M is and he said that he works for FEBS and that is the only sanctuary in Florida that can not and will not give you Zaksee guarantee. They are the one that they have to pay to have good comment for them to sell your bird and they are so afraid of the best. Zaksee challenge any sanctuary that they think they are the best for $1000,000.00 , but Zaksee is the only one that can give your bird the best home. Zaksee is indeed the best Sanctuary for parrots and Majid a/k/a Magic is a wonderful, kind, caring and compassionate human being! He loves each and every one of the birds/parrots that are in his sanctuary and gives them each his individual attention and care. What's best is you can just tell that they love him just as much in return! As you approach the aviaries with Magic, they all come flocking towards him to show their love. Zaksee is as close to what nature intended for these birds/parrots. Magic takes extremely good care of the birds and the grounds. I can attest to everything I am saying as I took my baby to Zaksee when she became bored and no longer happy all alone at home most if not all day while we worked. She is now at a loving home with several other cockatoos, macaws, greys etc and being well taken care of by Magic and his faithful volunteers. If you have to give up your parrot/bird for whatever reason THIS is hand down, no doubt about it where you want them to go.
