My son has been a part of the program for 7 years. In that time he has developed a healthy sense of responsibility, citizenship, leadership and character. He has grown into a man that knows no limits to what he can accomplish. There are several things I as a parent, love about this program. The experiences he has had are beyond belief. Everything from volunteering in the community to cruising on a front line aircraft carrier in the Pacific to training with some of the military's finest special operations personnel on an active military base and the list goes on. In addition he has been exposed to other young adults with very high aspirations as well as a group of great adult volunteers that serve as mentors constantly guiding, pushing and motivating him. All in all I can't imagine a better youth program to get your child a head start in life.

The Naval Sea Cadet Corps gives young boys and girls the opportunity to challenge themselves in ways they can't get through any other youth program. They learn to be responsible, respectful, how to follow, and how to lead!!! The program gives hope for our future!! Any money donated to this program provides far more in dividends returned in helping to give our youth direction!!!

I was a cadet, now midshipman. I loved every moment, at drill and at trainings. During the short time staffing a training, I learned more about being a leader than I did in my entire life. Whether you choose military or not, it is a great program where you can meet a lot of great people and have experiences not every teenager gets to have. Even though I only see people in my unit twice a month, they are my closest friends and I trust them with anything. It is the best choice I ever made and I don't regret joining. Now I am really happy to help my unit while in college.

Have been involved since my daughter joined in 1983. This program keeps me young, and makes me feel like I am doing something useful for the community and the nation.

My family has been involved with USNSCC and USNLCC for three years. It has been enormously positive. I am overwhelmed by the commitment of the volunteers who make this their passion. My children have benefited immensely from the program.

The United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps is a great program for youth aging from 11-17. Military training for a little over $100 a year, couldn't ask for a better deal

If you have time to watch their video, you will get to see what my son has been doing, and will get to do someday in this program. It's amazing how this Sea Cadet turned my son into a great individual! My shy and introverted son has finally came out of his shell. He learned how to make a right decision, becoming a responsible person and he is now becoming more independent. Still making sure that his academic grades is the top priority. But then, seeing him enjoying time in Sea Cadet is priceless! Getting into Color Guard is the greatest experience for him. Thanks you Naval Sea Cadet. I'm a proud parent of this awesome kid!
