After six months I truly I am glad I joined this group and great organization. It truly as helped me lean more of the pain I go through daily and speaking to others and helping one another. The talks over the phone is wonderful and so much help. Thank you for being here for me and the many others I am sure you are helping.

I am new to pain and it is hard to find trustworthy information online. The Pain Community refuses to give out any information that they cannot verify as being trustworthy. That gives members peace of mind and that means so much. As a person with pain I have enough to worry and stress about. The Pain Community helps me, help myself.

I have suffered from chronic pain since 1989 and I had to give up my career as a US Marine. Over the ensuing years, my body has continued to find new ways to experience pain. Pain that never leaves me 24/7 365. Chronic pain and depression go hand in hand and as pain worsened, my depression followed suit. I was in a very dark place in my life and had all but given up, on the verge of committing suicide. I stumbled across this organization and became a member of the chat room. Through this and the excellent information, I began to understand my pain more and ways to counter the pain. The staff members helped me find ways to communicate to my VA Care team. I have my depression under control and no longer consider the choice I came very close to making. I can say truthfully that TPC saved my life. I now attempt to repay the debt I owe them by volunteering as a moderator for the chat room.

I am a caregiver to my soul mate who lives with chronic pain. We have been on this bumpy road for over 20 years. I have seen her through the good and the bad. The Pain Community has allowed her to blossom. It gives her a safe, secure place to connect with others who live with pain. She needed The Pain Community and they have never failed her.
