I'm so glad I joined NSCS! In a tough year, it has been a source of education, connection and hope. They truly care about students and offer a wide variety of resources: classes, events, scholarships, mentors, leadership summits, partnerships with other organizations (e.g., resume reviews, internships, jobs, etc). They will support you and push you to excel.

NSCS has helped me become the person I am today! It was great being apart of the organization, but now that I am serving as an officer on the board, my experience with this organization has became ten times better. I am developing skills that are priceless and can only help me in my future.

I joined The National Society of Collegiate Scholars in my freshmen year and I have had amazing opportunities to advance my learning in things pertaining to my field. In just my freshmen year I was made my chapter’s Public Relations coordinator. Also, being apart of this society looks great on my resume and helps me to stand out from others! I would definitely recommend others to join!

I discovered NSCS as a Sophomore looking for leadership and volunteer opportunities. I worked my way up from Secretary to President of my schools chapter, and I couldn't tell you where I would be today without NSCS! I've grown exponentially as a leader and I owe it all to the wonderful experiences NSCS provided, and still provides, for me.

I joined NSCS my sophomore year in college. I served on the executive board as executive VP for two years, and my senior year, I was elected president. This non-profit organization granted me the opportunity to get involved on campus and in the surrounding community. Now, I serve as the advisor for the 2019-20 executive board.

I've was inducted in NSCS as soon as I transferred to a different University, I was welcomed with opened arms and i immediately got involved. A month after being inducted, I became an ambassador for my chapter. The second semester, I became the PACE Director. All of this in academic term 2018-2019. Academic term 2019-2020 is now approaching and I will be serving as my chapters president. Within a year, I've held three positions. And I believed there's other scholars who can do this times 3. There are so many opportunities and resources to take advantage of. The organization helps socially, academically, and professionally.

I am a chapter officer at the NSCS chapter in Denver, Colorado at a small, private Jesuit university. I love the overall feeling of community that is offered by NSCS, and I am looking forward to this upcoming year and the progress we can make on campus and in the community. We strive to complete as many volunteer opportunities as possible and encourage the leaders of tomorrow to shine in their classes and in the community as a whole. It is truly an honor to be a part of this group, and I am excited for what the next two years bring.

I have had amazing experiences with NSCS and scholars in my community. NSCS have helped me to improve my communication, personality, and leadership skills. As I will become an officer for the following year, I can’t wait to take my position and inspire others to take the same challenge that I am taking. In addition, I was a person who used to be shy surrounded by people and as a vice-president of service I wish to help students to develop their same skills and personalities that once I got improved by NSCS. I am happy to be part of this team and to bring a lot of projects to help students to succeed in life and school

Being an NSCS officer has been an invaluable experience to me. In addition to the organization being efficiently run on a national level, my experience as a chapter officer has enabled me to grow the presence of NSCS on campus and create the potential to improve the lives and academic experiences of students all over campus. Witnessing the aid of my fellow classmates inspires me to continue to serve the organization and expand its influence.

I have thoroughly enjoyed being both a member and officer with The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS). The immense growth that I have went through as both a leader and team member amazes me. NSCS aids each individual in developing into a more well-rounded and determined student/individual. I am so grateful for the wonderful friendships and connections thatI have made as a result of being a part of NSCS. Holly is such a great mentor for our college chapter as well!!

I started on in NSCS as a freshman in PACE. Three years later I am now the president of NSCS at Eastern Illinois University's chapter. When I first joined NSCS I was a timid freshman I did not like to talk a lot, but I always had great ideas that I thought could be implemented in NSCS like volunteering in the community. However, as the years went by NSCS showed me what it means to be a leader and how to take charge. This organization has also showed me the value in having a team that supports you all your triumphs and tribulations. Therefore, I can proudly say that NSCS has made me the proud leader I am today, and the best part I can finally voice my ideas with ease thanks to the all the belief and support the NSCS community has put into me.

I was diagnosed with 'Multiple Sclerosis' when I was 27 which resulted with me having to stop with further education until I was able to get myself into a healthier place physically. When I decided do go back to school there were a decent amount of odds against me. It's easy to see how one could get discouraged while plugging along to complete a four year program, fully knowing that you will only be signing up for another educational program that will be even longer. (In my case, three more years after I graduate from Weber State.). The NSCS, and being nominated to join because of my hard work has been a great reward! The amount of resources that are available to me as well as the support is phenomenal. I really wish I could say thank you to the people that are responsible for my nomination. I have been elected to hold office in our chapter and hope to be able to attend the officer training that will be held in Washington D.C. next month.

I am now currently serving on the officer board at my college and have several opportunities to help others with their studies and and help within my community as well. This organization does not require a certain number of hours but instead encourages other in and out of the club to engage in activities such as tutoring, March for College, and several other events to encourage students to be their best selves along with staying focused on their studies.
