I have been a donor since this organization was first founded. They are very efficient with the use of money with low overhead costs and making a huge impact for the people of Guatemala with the love of Christ.
As a donor, I love reading monthly reports and social media updates about how my monthly donations are used to impact the Guatemalan people in such a holistic way. I've visited the S4H mission group two times because I wanted to meet the people they ministered to, and I saw first hand how they love on them, work alongside them, and most of all, how they serve the Guatemalan people.
Incredibly professional, organized, team-oriented and Christ-like! A group from my church and I spent 10 days with the Servants 4 Him team and returned home feeling tremendously encouraged and excited about the work being done here in Guatemala. So many people that I have run into have made numerous trips with church groups and on their own because they all testify that this is a GREAT team to work and minister with. I plan to return for another trip in the future because I know that my time will be used wisely and with their leadership will make an impact in lives.
The caretakers of this ministry of the most giving and generous people you could know. They have given up their life in the states to help the needy in a third world country. They have left their children and grandchildren to help the children of strangers. Their kindness and service to our Lord in immeasurable.
I say I am a client served because Servants for Him volunteers have been my neighbors for several years in Guatemala. There is no home in the neighborhood that is more open and welcoming than theirs. I myself work in Guatemala but my home is like a sanctuary, a way to get away from the daily grind of helping the poor. But that is not the way of the Servant for Him volunteers. I have met volunteers, volunteer team members and full time folks who have been here more than 10 years. All are welcome. Can anyone say that for themselves. I don't think so. The gift of hospitality is what the Bible says it is, a gift. Servants 4 Him has it. l Their light shines in the darkness of need and despair and in friendship and and open door policy. The open door may not solve a problem but it is a place to go, to talk, to resolve through empathy and friendship.
Thank you Servants 4 Him for loving the Lord and obeying His call to serve others. We have watched you stick to your focus of training pastors and other Jesus followers to study the Bible and put God's words into action. We are fellow missionaries in Guatemala and you have helped guide us as newbies to the field. We have also seen you laying down your lives to help others. As fellow grandparents we see how much you love your family but choose to serve in a foreign country. You are an inspiration for us.
Our family has donated to this nonprofit organization and know the Erickson family personally. Todd Erickson was a Pastor at our church in Virginia along with his wife and three children. I have no doubt in my mind that you could not find better hands to trust funds to be used wisely. They all, including their children, have a strong heart to serve others. And they do. If you're giving to this organization you are giving to the lord.
The Erickson family and their generous service 4Him is the perfect example of Christ's teaching. I've had the privilege of knowing them over 10 years & witnessing their devotion to others. They are joyful, trusting and charitable even when faced with fighting illness, poverty and despair. They use their capabilities to the max and live their faith. They give all they have and then teach problem solving, diplomacy, life skills, and Christianity. The Ericksons are inspirational and I follow them daily as they truly are "Servants 4 Him" in Guatemala. I thank God everyday for this organization and the work and communication to us of the good will that they are creating in Jesus name.
Servants 4 Him is a wonderful non profit organization because of the morals and beliefs it stands on. Everything done by Servants 4 Him is for God and the organization glorifies the projects, bible studies, and people of Guatemala to the lord. I believe Servants 4 Him has the best leaders in Guatemala right now and the people that have given up their lives in the United States to live in Guatemala and serve are the most genuine Christians I have ever met.
I personally know one of the families who gave up every part of their comfortable life in an upscale area of the United States to live as a missionary family in Guatemala. Their hearts are filled with compassion for a people who desperately need help and healing...to know that Christ loves them! Servants 4 Him has made it possible for my friends to put their faith into action in Guatemala.
These people show the love of Christ to the Guatemalans in many ways. Doing a great work down there and giving so many Americans a heart for others by hosting all of these teams.
We first met Forrest and Carol when we also were missionaries in Guatemala. Their giving hearts is an inspiration. My husband was able to work with Forrest for a few days and gained so much in seeing the needs of the villagers. We were working with a different kind of project in Guatemala City, and it was helpful to see what other missionaries were doing. It gave us a better picture of the country and the culture we were involved with.
Our family was drawn by Servants 4 Him, to move down to Guatemala for 6 months in 2005. We have learned from them how to make water filters, and minister to the basic hygienic needs of that developing country. A country which sadly, is corrupt. Many of the social services we take for granted in the USA are provided for by ministries like Servants 4 Him. It was a blessing to work alongside the Kendalls and see the ministry grow over the years. Family members continue to support this non-profit with their time and energy during short term mission trips.
I participated in a ten day mission organized by S4H in 2010. It was very well organized, safe and productive. We not only met the physical needs of the people there, but were able to minister to them spiritually as well.
S4H has consistently helped families in Guatemala since 2006 with projects such as household water treatment systems (i.e. bio-sand water filters), improved wood burning stoves, health and hygiene classes, and construction of homes for widows and families in need. They have trained numerous religious non-profits and humanitarian aid organizations in the construction of bio-sand filters.
The Lord continues to bless and expand the reach of this organization.
This non-profit has existed for several year. They have shown themselves to be sensitive to needs of the people they serve. They have been creative in finding solutions for the people who need. They have been good stewards of the money donated to them. They have been available to people wanting to come and help them out on the field. They are "bridge builders" and do an excellent job of maintaining relationships on the field and back at home. They are cheerfully accountable for their decisions and actions and have proven themselves to trustworthy. Lastly they are sacrificial in their work on the field, continuing to do it under adverse health circumstances. They love the work they do!
