I have been volunteering with Paws for 19 years. I continue to do so because of the love and compassion which is given to the cats and dogs in our care. Paws works very hard to find these animals a forever home
My husband and I adopted both our cats from this wonderful organization. For a local animal organization with limited staffers, they do a marvelous job with keeping the animals healthy and happy and socializing them to make them more adoptable. Plus, the volunteers are more than happy to answer any questions or concerns you have after you adopt your pet. We had some issues with introducing our first cat to her "baby brother" but we got some great advice from the staff at PAWS, things are peaceful at home once again.
Over the years, have e adopted several cats from PAWS.Each one of theses cats were and still are wonderful companions.Know that they were socialized and medically cares for.
I and my husband adopted two cats - a Mother and one of her kittens, from PAWS last June. We were so happy with the loving, caring way that the PAWS animals are taken care of. Our cats, Mama Zoey and baby Ziggy were in foster care when we met them. It was wonderful to know that they had been given this loving, warm home with excellent care, by an experienced cat owner. The foster mom always went out of her way to help us with the cats needs - even after we already had adopted them - it is obvious that the PAWS volunteers are very dedicated. PAWS, also took care of most of their immediate health care needs, and gave us cat food as well. What more could anyone ask? I now have two loving new family members!
I have had the pleasure of volunteering with PAWS since August 2004 not only as a dog walker, adoption day volunteer but also as a foster parent. In my three years of fostering I have helped 7 dogs get furever homes. All dogs came to us in a less than desirable conditions and through the help of PAWS and donations from the public we were able to get much needed medical attention, behavioral and social training in a VERY timely manner. No matter what I needed from toys to treats to medications to food the PAWS family was there to help contniue supplying a healthy experience for our furry friends. In a short time we saw such great results from our work. A dog who was weary of dogs is now enjoying romps in the dog park and a dog who was so sick she wouldn't take treats or play with toys is living happily with a family playing fetch and has even gained some weight. These are just two of the many many positivie stories I have had the pleasure of being a part of. The work this organization does is unmatched in love, care, companssion and pure sincerity. Brianna
great staff great adoption process. very caring professional knowledgeable patient.
I had the great fortune of adopting my sweet Yum Yum (cat) through PAWS. The entire experience has been one of great satisfaction. Not only were they super helpful, knowledgable, kind and so obviously caring through the adoption process, but they have continued to be a supportive presence in our lives ever since...and that was over 2 years ago! They are so committed to not only rescuing and finding safe and loving homes for animals in need, but also to the cause of educating and supporting the public and their community.
