My cat Mr. WAFFLES wasn't doing well, and I had no money once so ever to take him to the vet. Because of this charity, almost all the money we needed was raised in two days! Thank you pet chance!!!
I'm so happy I found petchance.org. If you wanna donate any where please do it here. I received a donation the day after
I made the profile. The CEO Pete is wonderful and will answer any questions you have. Petchance.org helps people pay vet bills they can't pay and it's wonderful. Thankyou petchance.org for helping me. If you need help with your pet this is the place to come. They call your vet to verify your story and any donations are sent to the vet so nobody that donates has to worry about it being a scam.
This charity helped us by raising funds for our poor dog who got hit by a car and needed extensive surgery. W figured it was a long short but signed up. They came through with a small but helpful donation. I recommend them very highly.
There were pamphlets for Pet Chance at the location were my baby had her Spinal Surgery. I am so glad I took the time to pick one up and read it. The idea behind this website is so great and a long time overdue in my opinion. I tell people that it's like Kick Starter but for Pets. They have been great to work with and very easy to get the bill paid. Please keep up the good work.
Rachel and I have been using PetChance since May 2013. Before Rachel became sick, I had lost my job and my home, so being able to actually have found a place that allows and owner to be proactive is WONDERFUL!!
They offer tips on how to generate interest and money and they are quick to answer any questions or solve any problems.
I have recommended them to other owners and will continue to do so.
Thank you PetChance!!! You all ROCK!!
Something that a lot of people forget is the cost of medical care. Insurance often makes us forget just how much it costs. When we bring our pets to the vet, it is very overwhelming to learn when we cannot afford the care they need.
Pet Chance offers a wonderful way for people to be able to afford medical care for their pets. It is the mission of the organization, and many lives have brightened in the short time since Pet Chance began.
I don't think that Pet Chance stops at saving the lives of animals. It also provides a way for people to connect to something they care about. It helps connect people. It provides a way for people to reliably commit to something they believe in.
We had our Pit Bull puppy for only a little under 2 weeks when my daughter was backing out of our driveway and hit Kia causing her to need a major surgery and lots of follow-up care. We were devastated when we thought we would have to euthanize her for lack of money. Her vet & surgeon said she would make a full recovery after the surgery. When the vet technician came in with your flier we had hope. We took a leap of faith and had the surgery done. I signed us up on Pet Chance and it was so easy. Then while we cared for our hurt puppy; people from all around donated to help us to help Kia. It was heartwarming to say the least. If it were not for Pet Chance; we would not have our now healthy and happy puppy running around and going everywhere with my family. We could not imagine our lives without her. THANK YOU Pet Chance!!!
I'm an Advisor to PetChance.org which is staffed by seasoned business executives, technologists, volunteers, and veterinary experts with decades of experience - it's a great group of people truly committed to helping pets & pet care-givers who need a helping hand during difficult times. While thousands of "Great Non-Profits" all deserve your time, attention and financial support - know that your time/money is handled by people @ PetChance.org who do truly care about giving Pets a Chance and are incredibly efficient with limited funds. Helping PetChance.org is my way of memorializing Phaedrus, an F1 African Savannah Cat I lost to inexplicable Feline Leukemia before PetChance.org existed. After thousands of dollars in chemo & vet bills...I understand the incredibly difficult economic decisions families must make…on top of already tough situations. Please memorialize your favorite pet by helping Pet Chance, Inc. itself in your Planned Giving & Estate Planning discussions. Pay-it-forward now by taking a moment to Sponsor a Pet on PetChance.org! …just 10 minutes + $10 can have direct, immediate, and tangible impact.
My rabbit, Aero, is currently very sick. She's suffering from residual head tilt as a result of Pasturella. Her head is tilted all the way over to the side, which affects her balance and causes her to roll frequently, something that's not only uncomfortable but also generates the possibility for further injury. Her initial vet bills totaled more than $400, which was a huge burden for me on my currently limited budget (right now I'm a single mother and a full time student with only a part time job).
Then acupuncture was recommended to help Aero. The treatments need to be done on a weekly basis, and while I was hopeful that they would help I was not hopeful about my ability to afford the treatments. Then I found PetChance, and in a little over a week some very generous people have already donated a total of $145 towards Aero's treatments. She's already had her first few treatments, and her mobility has improved significantly!
PetChance is a wonderful organization, and I love that the donations go directly to Aero's vet so that donors don't have to worry that they are getting scammed. Thank you PetChance!
My cat, Peaches, was diagnosed as being hyperthyroid last year. She had a negative response to the medication she was supposed to be on, so my treatment choices for her were limited and expensive. I found PetChance online and liked the fact that they checked out every animal and their story before allowing the go-ahead to fundraise --- no one likes to give money knowing there is the potential for it not going to the intended party or purpose --- so I felt this was the safest and most honest way to go when asking for donations.
They could not have made it easier for us. Lots of suggestions, personal help and lots of prayers and good thoughts from the volunteers and those donating really got us through this tough time. Peaches is back to her old self...and I am forever greatful to PetChance for helping me get her back to that point.
We look forward to be able to do the same when we can for others!
Pet Chance was an angel to us. They helped us get Luna Moon's much needed surgery. If is wasn't for petchance.org, Luna Moon would not be with us now!
This is one of the best ways to raise much needed funds for any animal's care.
Pass the word along, Petchance.org Rocks!
Thank you again, Petchance.org & all who helped us get the funds necessary to have our Luna Moon's surgery.
When my cat Buddy was ill this past summer, he ended up needing surgery twice. I had already incurred some hugh vet bills with visits to the animal emergency and my vet. My resources were pretty non-existant, although it did not deter me from getting the care Buddy needed. My vet told me about petchance.org. I went on their site, got all set up and let my family and friends far and wide know about this great way petchance helps people like me. It was a great experience and so helpful with being able to let people know of my (and Buddy's) need financially. There are so few resources out there for folks who want to care for their pets, but cannot afford to. A site like Petchance.org is the perfect vehicle for helping people raise the monies they need. If you don't "ask" for help, you deny the opportunity for people to help you and your pet. I recommend Petchance.org ALL the time. I am in the animal welfare business both professionally and as a volunteer.....Kudos to Petchance.org and all the people who work there.
When I found out my dog needed an expensive surgery I was given a list of organizations that could help. After filling out info for every site I was given, Pet Chance was not only the only one that got back to me but also kept in touch with me through the entire process.
I was denied any kind of help because I, like so many others lost it all, years of hard work gone in 4 months. Being at a loss of where to turn and to find such a sympathetic and upstanding group is rare these days. When I created the chance for my dog we didn't even have an appointment with the hospital yet and understandably it is part of there check to be able to post one. I emailed the staff and was replied to almost immediately.
While they were verifying the told me to submit my chance and again got back to me asap to move forward and now we are receiving donations.
I can only say thank you and know I will pay it forward here by helping others through Pet Chance as soon as I can.
For Beau and I, it wasn't just about the money, it was about the love and support we received during a very troubling time. My Beau is a 6 year old volunteer kitty, who is FIV positive. In Aug. 2012, his nose started to bleed and run. Other than that he was very healthy. I was told twice to put him down, and he saw I believe 6 vets, who all agreed that he had terminal nasal cancer. He accrued hundreds of dollars in vet bills. Finally, a savvy vet, diagnosed him with a sinus infection, and the rest is history. Beau is completely healed today. Very few people supported me during that dark time, and after 9 months of fighting, I was pretty weary when the victory came, but Pet Chance not only raised about 1/2 of Beau's vet bill, I felt that they were really in the stands cheering us on. I cannot say enough good things about them!!!
