A huge thank you to Jan at Peggy Adams! We had been trying to adopt a miniature schnauzer mix for some time and she helped us find the sweetest puppy! We do not live near the shelter so Jan and the staff went the extra mile to accommodate our needs in picking up our puppy. We were so pleased how well our dog was cared for while in the care of Peggy Adams, and they were incredibly helpful in getting us the information needed of how to care for her (we're first time dog owners). This is a fantastic place to adopt a pet!

My husband and I were in on Saturday and adopted a beautiful little blonde named Jada. As soon as we saw her sweet face, we fell in love. She is obviously still adjusting to our schedule, but she is making herself right at home. We are going to work on bringing her out of her shell and her separation anxiety issues. We are confident that through love and patience that she will eventually see that our home is her home forever. Here are a few snapshots of her in her new home.

Thank you so much for allowing us to become her puppy parents. She is a welcomed addition to our little family. Your staff was so wonderful in helping us to understand our little girl's past and needs for the future. I am so thankful that you have full time behaviorists in the event that we need additional help in acclimating Jada's fur-brother to the pack life.

I was mourning the loss of my Cavalier recently and fell into a depression.. ..One day while getting supplies for the pool my daughter said "We're going to the shelter" The shelter did not have any dogs we were interested in so she took me to Peggy Adams.......As we were leaving we passed a volunteer walking 3 beautiful Chihuahuas and I asked them if they had been adopted....Only 2 were leaving the one we liked best....we asked for her name and without saying anything we literally bolted for the front door and asked for forms to fill out......We met with Emily who brought in the Chihuahua who was shy and fearful.. Gabby is 1,5 years old and had a medical issue they were taking care of....So we took her home 2 days later.....Not only the care they give these animals but the connections they have build with Home Again a chip company unlike any I have dealt with before...Then the Pet insurance. They have physicians on site.....they offer free spaying and neutering of any animal that is owned in Palm Beach County. They have built a system that is 100% dedicated to the preservation of animals and keeping them healthy. My father was a dog breeder and I never thought about adopting. I am so glad I did. Gabby bonded with us immediately and after walking her twice knew exactly what her house was. She knows her name and is meeting other dogs as we walk.
Not only was Gabby lucky to find us, we feel so lucky to have found her and grateful to Peggy Adams for what that facility does for animals and for making this possible. Its staff is absolutely wonderful. Many thanks to Emily!!

I have been looking at the Peggy Adams site for many weeks to find a cat for my sister that lives on the west coast of FL. A few days before Christmas I saw kitten that reminded me of a Himalayan I had many years ago. He has one over the hearts of many in a new household, even a grandmother that was never a "cat person". His personality is very loving and as you can see he is adorable. The process at Peggy Adams when adopting him was fast and painless. I will definitely go back if I am every looking for another pet!

I started as a foster at Peggy Adams; 6 kittens! They provide a playpen, food and litter...all you provide is love and care! We ended up adopting one of those kittens. Jay helped us with the adoption and everything went smoothly. Then we went back for a playmate for her when our older cat passed. Jay again to the rescue!!! The entire team at Peggy Adams. If you aren't looking for a full commitment, but want to have animals in your life; contact Shannon about fostering. If you want to have a friend for life...jay is the man! Thanks to everyone I didn't mention in here...because from the volunteer greeters to the veterinarians this shelter is top notch.

We were foster parents for a cat and her four kittens. It was a wonderful experience. The training and support we received from the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League was first rate. They provided excellent followup and guidance to make sure the animals were doing well and in hands.

We adopted our beautiful black ketten from the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League. The people there are very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The shelter is very clean and the animals are well taken care of. The adoption process is thorough but not burdensome. The shelter provides a host of services in case there are issues after you bring the pet home. I don't think you can find a better place to adopt a pet.

There's something magical about the animals that come out of Peggy Adams. My wife and I adopted 2 kittens about a year and a half ago from Peggy Adams and they are unlike any other cats I've ever owned or known in the past! For starters, they are cuddle bugs! The foster team at Peggy Adams must have given my two kittens an abundance of love because Minnie and Nala have grown up to be extremely sociable, loving, and cuddly creatures!

Thank you, Peggy Adams for providing an amazing service in our community!

I had such a wonderful experience with this organization. I adopted my two cats here and they couldn't have been more helpful!

I have been involved with Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League since 2008. All the while we had pure bred dogs. We never adopted a dog from the League or any other shelter. That all changed this past fall. I am now the proud owner of a great rescue dog. He might be the smartest dog we have ever owned. But that is not the point of this "review." After going through that adoption process, I got to see how great the League and its staff are "in action." Thoroughly professional. Very helpful, thoughtful and kind. This dog was about a year and a half old and this poodle mix had never been groomed, never had shots, was not neutered and was not "chipped." Except for the grooming (he had to be shaved) the League took care of it all very quickly. Within about 3 to 4 days we took our dog home.

If you are in the West Palm Beach area, you need to visit Peggy Adams and see what is going on there.

Peggy Adams is an outstanding organization serving Palm Beach County. Not only are they committed to elevating our entire county to Zero Euthnasia of adoptable treatable dogs and cats, but also tackling a gigantic community cat overpopulation issue, providing low cost services to our community through numerous coveted grants from the most honorable organizations!
I have had the wonderful opportunity to work with their incredible staff, volunteers and board members. The organization is a dream team of dedicated people committed to saving countless furry lives in our community! Thank you ARL for all you do!

I have been volunteering at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League for close to 15 years, if not longer. I have watched this organization grow to become one of the most respected and popular shelters around. When volunteering I have had people stop me in the adoption areas stating that they have never been to such a clean shelter. They also comment to me how healthy our animals look. I can say with certainty that everyone that now works at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League are there because of their love for the animals. Our dogs get quality time from the staff and volunteers when taken out for their daily walks and play time. We also have play groups for the dogs. We have free roaming cats, large glass runs for our cats and large condos. This is truly a wonderful and caring organization.

My son wanted a dog for his 16th Birthday. We went on-line and found two dogs we thought would be perfect for us. I called the next day and arranged for our family to meet the dogs. When we arrived, we were greeted, welcomed and taken back to see the dogs. One little puppy who wasn't even in the system yet (he had just arrived that day) came to the door of his crate and said hello to us with his tail a'waggin! It was like he picked us - he wasn't one of the dogs we saw....but he wanted my son to be HIS BOY and my daughter to be HIS GIRL! We played with him in a private room and fell in love! We've had Chewbacca (Chewey for short) for almost nine months! He quickly stole our hearts and now rules our home. It's ridiculous how 4 people and 2 cats can be put in their place by a mutt, but it's true. I was so impressed with the team at Peggy Adams and even more impressed with their follow through after the adoption! Thanksgiving was a few days ago and as we went around the table, my heart was singing when my macho husband's eyes glowed as he said he was most thankful this year for Chewy and the absolute joy he has brought our family. THANK YOU SO MUCH PEGGY ADAMS TEAM!!!

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue is the nicest animal rescue facility I've ever seen - very clean, staffed by friendly, compassionate people, and the animals are well cared for and get lots of attention. The staff and volunteers really love all of the animals that are in their care.
Based on the positive reputation that this animal rescue league has in the community, I choose to adopt a senior Maltese dog from this shelter. The staff were very professional and helpful throughout the adoption process.
Its extremely reassuring to know that the animals are loved here. I greatly appreciate the dedication and services that Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League provides to the animals and community.

Having been involved with Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League for nearly 20 years, I am in the fortunate position of having watched this organization bloom into a major force for animal welfare both locally and nationwide. In that time I have received and seen others receive an unbelievable level of support and services.  My roles have been as a trapper of community cats, an adopter and a foster volunteer.  The staff are genuine, the leadership has its priorities in order and they are excellent stewards of the time, talent and funds donated to them.  It is an absolute privilege to to have this resource in the community.

My husband and I had a fantastic experience when we adopted our poodle mix rescue late last year. Everyone we dealt with was so wonderful. The staff, from the reception area, the veterinarians, and all the way through the adoption process, was very professional and above all else, interested in the well-being of the animals and a good fit in their new forever home. The CEO, Rich Anderson, has a real passion for helping and supporting the less fortunate animals in our community. I don't think you would find a better organization then Peggy Adams to support. The new member of our home, Finn, fit in right away. We can't imagine not having him with us .

On August 17, 2016 my wife and I adopted Shego. At the time our German Shepard, Max, had been without a companion for three months. After his companion passed away, Max was sad and depressed. When we brought Shego home, her and Max had an initial "check each other" moment. After that was over, they started chasing each other all over the yard. Max and Shego are now "best buddies." Max is no longer sad and depressed. He loves his new "little sister."

Living in South Florida we know there are many options for our neglected animals. But the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League has been leading the way for a very long time and should be seen as a blueprint for other shelters to follow. The CEO Rich Anderson has a passion for what he does and it is evident with every associate, board member and volunteer involved with this amazing organization. They simply are the best!

This group deserves more than 5 stars!!

My family had a wonderful experience with Peggy Adams Rescue League of Palm Beach. About 3 months ago we were looking to adopt a dog. We found the perfect dog that was a great fit for our family.Bentley is a Jack-Russell/chihuahua mix. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone looking to adopt a dog. We love our dog and are thankful we are able to give him a loving forever home.

Such a caring and wonderful facility. We have been donors for years. They have eased our pain, taken care of our fur babies and the day before Christmas Eve, we found a new little boy there to bring home! The staff is great and we are proud to be supporters! Below is our Christmas boy....Chuckie, the night we brought him home and after his Christmas Eve grooming. (our groomer rocks - getting him in on Christmas Eve) Tuesday he's having eye surgery. We're going to do our best to restore this little boy's sight.
