Anna Mojapelo contacted Parnell Intermediary Services, Inc. about the donations PISI gave to her community and the construction projects PISI completed for them. Ms. Mojapelo said it gave her great joy to provide an update report and told us “The home has grown from strength to strength. Your positive impact is still felt until this day. The Quantum Microbus you bought for us is now making two runs every morning and afternoon collecting and delivering our children safely to and from school. The Isuzu van you gave us is still collecting donations from various places and is a very reliable multi-purpose van. The cool room and deep freeze are still keeping our food fresh and providing ample storage in the fridge.” In February 2010 they officially opened a Montessori Early Childhood Development Pre-School on site and have held the first graduation ceremony. The first recycled, green-tech container residential unit for the children has been built. It was officially opened on 26th February 2012. Anna Mojapelo said "Without your support we will not be where we are today. Thank you for helping communities like ours that are outside of the U.S.A. Thank you once again for the support."
Your donations to PISI helped thousands of extremely vulnerable people to rebuild their homes and replant their vegetables. Vouchers were issued, to allow communities to purchase the correct building materials, with guidance from PISI‘s local partners. Vegetable seeds and gardening tools were also provided, as well as training on how to get the best yield. The training was very practical, giving all the women an opportunity to ask questions. They commented on how motivating it was to learn about preparing the ground; the proper use of fertilizer, the types of vegetables that grow well next to each other and how to protect seeds for the future. Manzoor Bibi, a widow from Kot Addu with eight children, lost one child during the floods, as well as her home and all her possessions. Now she is being helped to rebuild her home and grow her own food. She told PISI: ‘I don't have words to thank PISI for helping us. … I have nothing to give them except my prayers. They have saved my children’s lives. I wish them happiness.’ Another positive effect of your donation is that facilitating communities coming together to rebuild their homes and lives has empowered people who would not normally be part of the community decision-making process, especially women.
Review from Guidestar
My family and I have volunteered for several of Parnell Intermediary Services Inc. programs since 2003. Parnell Intermediary Services Inc. calls its volunteers PISI Integrity Team. As a member of the Team my family and I have helped PISI respond to a variety of disasters, including tornadoes, hurricanes, wildfires, explosions, and floods, across more than half of the states. PISI provides assistance both in the U.S. and overseas. PISI is like a home base during disasters by housing volunteers, storing equipment, and sharing information and insight about the community. PISI Integrity Team is polished with committed people with varied talents and experience. Spread the word about PISI. PISI depends on donations to do great work. Since PISI fees are based on a person’s annual income, 98% of the people receiving help are getting crucial services for free. Ask your family, friends, and peers to support this charity. PISI is the real deal!
This is a great legitimate 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Public Charity. The fact that its "public" is one of the reasons why I donated to support some of their family and outreach programs. PISI spends the money you donate on a specific program if you don't want to make a general donation. This time I wanted to support their multimedia program. I knew where my money was going. They spend 90 cents of each dollar completely on the program you want to support and 10 cents of each dollar goes towards their administration costs. Everyone was friendly and professional. PISI is a small organization that does huge constructive things for the community. I hope more people and corporations support PISI. SUPPORT SMALL CHARITIES. They need funding just like the large nonprofits to help people. PISI represents integrity!
From my personal experience and witnessing their action, PISI is outstanding at helping someone in any way, any kind of good to anyone like feeding the hungry, helping the poor, saving animals, taking care of orphans, lending hand to disabled, providing shelters, food shelves, clothing drives and other stuff. I do a lot of shopping in their Online Shopping Center. PISI is basically a great multipurpose organization. I have nothing but positive thoughts of PISI. I know there are many others that feel and think the same. PISI provides help to people in the states and foreign countries. PISI is amazing! :)
