Scott was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiform Grade IV on November 19, 2014 and has done great up until three weeks ago. Scott had a stroke and now has lost strength on his left side.
I lost my job June 2016 due to the FMLA and they denied my unemployment so things are starting to get really tough for us. I reached out to Mission4Maureen and they helped us out. We are so grateful and will always keep this foundation in our thoughts and prayers.
When we found out that they were going to help us, it brought tears to both of our eyes. We can not express enough on how grateful we are.

My husband was diagnosed with a brain tumor on May 13,2016. He has a craniotomy to remove approx. 75% of the tumor. Then he spent 6 weeks doing radiation. We were driving five hours a day to ensure he was receiving the best care possible. This meant during this time he was unable to work. I was unable to work, as we have 3 small children and my husband is unable to drive. He is currently on his 4th round of chemo. We really appreciate the help of Mission4Maureen. They paid our mortgage, so we could focus on receiving treatments needed. We are so grateful. Mission4Maureen is a blessing to our family.
God Bless this Mission and its founders and administration! My husband was diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma Multiforme in April of 2015. After craniotomy, chemotherapy, radiation and laser ablation surgery for recurring tumors all in 2015, he continues his battle against this horrible cancer with daily maintenance chemo, anti seizure meds, steroids and antibiotics.
Not only has Steve not worked since his diagnosis, he also did not qualify for Social Security Disability because he had not paid in enough in self-employment during the preceding five years prior to his diagnosis.
I had been working full time up until March of 2016, when both hands needed carpal tunnel compression release surgery. At the same time, my chronic neck and back issues worsened significantly. All this to say that by October 2016, I was forced to resign from work to access what little retirement I had saved.
Those funds were quickly exhausted by catching up on past due household and medical bills. Once all of our personal resources were exhausted, I found myself without hope for answers. I reached out to the American Cancer Society, who put me in touch with Mission4Maureen.
They reviewed our situation, verified my husband's diagnosis with very little paperwork and quickly responded with their offer to assist. We have been blessed with the funds they paid directly to our home mortgage lender and utility company. They will also assist with the next brain MRI schedeled later this week, as we are now facing huge medical deductibles ($4800) with the new year. Our medical insurance is costing us $978 through Cobra payments with my former employer.
"Thank you" seems so inadequate a response to them! I shelter my husband completely from the financial burdens we face, so it is especially heartwarming to have the helping hands that Mission4Maureen extended to us!
God Bless you!
I was diagnosed with a Hemangiopericytoma Stage 2 Brain Tumor in 2015. After undergoing a partial resection and treatment, along with the additional illnesses of my 2 daughters, the medical expenses and insurance was overwhelming. Mission4Maureen helped enormously to relieve some of the stress by kindly and graciously helping with several of the bills. I cannot think of enough good things to say about this organization. They are wonderful!!
May their kindness be returned and passed on.
I was diagnosed with a stage 4 glioblastoma December 2016. I'm currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. This organization has given me a generous donation to help pay medical/utility bills. Thank you so much for the donation! May the LORD bless you! Diana Ruiz and family
The generosity of the Mission4Maureen foundation means more than words can express. They paid our house payment and gas bill for December after my husband was diagnosed with Grade 3 Anaplastic Astrocytoma and unable to work. I was also on a reduced work schedule due to my reaction to his diagnosis. This truly helped with stress reduction and allowsed us to focus on the medical issues. It is programs and people like this that help restore faith in humanity and make people and communities come together in difficult times.
On October 6, 2016 my life changed with a diagnosis of glioblastoma multiforme satge 4 brain cancer. All the standard treatments were started and a couple of week later I find my self at home contemplating how am I going to make all of this work out.
Searching the internet I found Mission4Maureen. My very first impression from the website was this does not look difficult. The site was easy to navigate and I easily found information about what Mission4Maureen represents and how they may be able to assist me. I read all of the wonderful programs available and I applied that night. This was right after the New Year Holiday. On January 4, 2017 I was notified my request had been approved.
The ease of using the system and the response to my request shows the urgency they have placed on their programs and to get the resources to where they are most needed.
Thank you so much to everyone in the Mission4Maureen organization. You have brought a sense of comfort and understanding that things are going to be okay. There are dedicated and caring people out there who will lift you up when needed the most.

I am a mother of Mariam who was diagnosed with Brain Tumor The time Mariam (my daughter) was diagnostic I had C Section Surgery prior to this diagnostic. When I heard about Mariam it was not easy, but somehow God gave me strength. CHOP (Children Hospital of Philadelphia) had surgery of my daughter Mariam and successfully they removed the Brain Tumor but not 100% but what maximum they could do they did.
I have two other kids one is 3 year old girl and second is 18 month old boy only. When I came to know that my daughter Mariam has diagnosed with Brain Tumor I lost my mind at the moment and there was no earth under my feet because this disaster of sickness of my daughter realized me that my daughter life is in danger.
It was very hard and impossible for me to get stand and be ready to face and fight with this unfortunate situation. God did help me and prayer of families and friends when they all came to know. Mariam is 2nd grandchild of my mother and it was not easy for them to.
It changes my whole life circle and daily activities, as I have to take care of my daughter and be in hospital with her and with my other two kids. I was in situation that all my 3 kids need me more than others.
During the treatment we both out of house almost 14 months and nobody continue job. It was very hard time we faced no income and life expense were continue.
Without job how to struggle and manage life with all responsibilities is like War fighting.
I was fully impacted in my life with this disaster
But by the Grace of GOD we over come to this unfortunate situation and my daughter Mariam recovered from Brain Tumor, but our hard ship is still not over yet.
Thank you for Mission 4 Maureen to help us in this difficult time.
My 10 year old son was diagnosed with a rare aggressive brain cancer on September 19th 2016. Everything in my world stopped except the bills.
My husband and I have both worked since we were 16 years old. We live within our means and NEVER thought we would be in a position to have to ask for help. Well cancer tries to steal everything from you: my child, my job, my home and my hope. I thank God there are organizations like this that will step in and help. Without help like this cancer wins at stealing everything. I thank God for Mission 4 Maureen for giving us help and hope.
Our baby girl was diagnosed with cancer in July 2016 her father is disabled and I had to leave work it was something never expected we had bills piling up mainly our electric bill was 300+ and our phone (only way for the hospital to contacts us) was 200+ and they helped us keep those 2 bills it eased up the financial hardships we face due to traveling 4 or more hours for her treatment! If we hadn't learned about them we would have lost our power and moved out I couldn't thank them enough for them help
This nonprofit is the best one I have ever heard of! My husband is 33 years old and was diagnosed in 2015 with a grade 2 oligodendroglioma which was successfully removed with a craniotomy. My husband has been battling ALOT of health issues and setbacks ever since his diagnosis which has caused many hospital visits, ER visits, specialist visits, chemo, etc. We do have good health insurance through my employer but we also have 4 children 10 and under so as you can imagine, keeping up with all the medical bills is VERY challenging. We were awarded a very generous grant through Mission 4 Maureen which has been a life saver! It just eases a little bit of the stress off of my shoulders so I can focus more on my husband and children. I appreciate this program so much and feel so blessed to have been referred to it. THANK YOU MISSION 4 MAUREEN!
My 9yr old son battles DIPG from march 2016- december 2016 and ended up losing his battle on december 5th. During our hard times as a single mother of 3, Mission4Maureen was amazing at helping us with bills and also sent gifts for my son. A very wonderful organization that i would highly recommend to others. They were amazing people, even tho i never personally met them but just thru emails was always so caring and polite
I thank God for Mission4Maureen and Rosie. My Brother in Law was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer. My husband and I realized the only priority was to try to save his life. This came with a huge expense. We found our self’s spending every cent we had on healthy food, depends. Medications, cloths that could not be cleaned due to the lack of body functions: Our water bill increased because he had to shower him more then once a day, our heating bill increased because we had to keep our brother in a warm environment at all times, Our electricity bill increased because of medical equipment was being utilized day and night, and we could not afford to make our car payment and the transportation was needed. As a result we began to face financial hardship. The Cancer Center in Marietta Ga gave us the information to Mission4Maureen. When I called they were so pleasant. All of our financial need was taken care of. I was so surprise Mission4Maureen did not procrastinate. All of our stress dissipated this gave us the opportunity to just focus on our brother. They have really been a blessing to us. Mission4Maureen paid almost $2.000.00 in bills for us when we had no way of paying them. I cried tears of joy, because no one has ever been so supportive. I want to say to the world please continue to support Mission4Maureen. One Day I pray I will be able to give back to this organization. At this time I have an organization called the voice of the homeless. I do not make any money but I am able to give my love and support to the homeless through out the Atlanta area. I find shelter for the homeless. My prayer is that I would have a major facility not only to house them but to change their life for ever. Mission4Maureen has inspired me even more to continue the Voice of The Homeless community out reach that I have been blessed to have. A couple of Videos of the voice of the homeless are on YouTube. To find them go to (Untitled the Voice of the Homeless in the ATL GA)
I cannot thank you enough for the patience, support and assistance you showed through the application process of Ms. Powell and most importantly Hope. This case was one that truly touched my heart. When you read the letter concerning Hope and what she has been through in her life, it is heartbreaking to know that children are experiencing this in their young lives.
Hope is the reason and example of why I became a Social Worker to be a voice for those who have none or find assistance for those in need, who otherwise would not receive none. So I thank you for having the same compassion. Without your help with this case, Hope despite all she has been through would be homeless this evening, while we sleep in our home and bed tonight.
So I thank you (Rosie), Larry and the organization Mission4Maureen for keeping a roof over Hope's head and providing assistance that one one else could do.
So Rosie I am sending you a "Have a nice day and a sleep good night sleep" tonight knowing that you made a difference in someone else's life.

I am so grateful for Mission4Maureen. They were able to provide assistance to my mother by paying rent for a month for her. She was diagnosed with a grade 4 brain tumor in July of 2015. It is a miracle she is still alive, but the bills are mounting every day. She was laid off from her job in April and she isn't old enough to qualify for medicare. We are paying COBRA premiums of almost $1,000 a month. She also has to live in a senior facility that can provide assistance, which is not cheap. I was able to take a huge breath when we received notification that they could help. They were prompt in their reply and had the rent check in the mail the next day. I can not say enough good things about them or ever thank them enough!
Caring for a child with a brain tumor is exhausting and makes it very difficult to work a regular job. Mission 4 Maureen helped cover the cost of living expenses, so that I could take care of my little girl in her last days. She passed away after five years of treatments. Dealing with some of the other programs out there means a mountain of forms and letters from hospitals and social workers. There was no hassle, just a form, and a brief discussion of how best they could help.
I want to thank ya so much for helping me paid my rent.
I have a daughter with brain cancer and is hard for me not able to work.
If it wasent for nice people like Mission4Maureen i dont know how i would paid my rent.
Thank you so much god bless this organization
