Diagnosed April 1, 2013, with a terrifying disease of brain cancer (Glioblastoma Multiforme), I refused to become a "bad" statistic. Instead, my path would only allow prayer, positive thinking and hope! Bills began to pile up, I had to quit my job of teaching British English to seniors, and there were so many doctors' appointments which I couldn't drive to. I used my time by combing the internet for help and I found Mission4Maureen.
The site was so encouraging! I asked for an amount to cover some very specific bills, and I was sent a check with no red tape. The ease at which my case was handled really encouraged me to keep canvasing the internet for other sources. Unfortunately, I found none that were as straight forward and helpful as this nonprofit. The 5-star rating should really be a 6-star because it is that wonderful.
With the help of many prayers, God's loving grace and my doctors, I am in remission and only go for Avastin infusion treatments once every two weeks. The brain cancer is gone. I can do things I enjoy, like traveling and being with my family. I treasure my husband Robert, who is the epitome of a supportive spouse, and my boys Jake and Justin. I found Mission4Maureen exactly when I needed it! Thanks!
I was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme brain tumors on April 1, 2013. My prognosis was terminal - no stage I, II, III or IV. Removal by surgery was not an option. Online research showed life expectancy of about 3 months. That wasn't good enough for me. I began to do work on managing my own experiences and was lead to Mission4Maureen. This site gave me not only financial assistance, but encouragement to continue to live! Now, thanks to prayers, medicine, and positive thinking, I am what my oncologist calls a "Miracle Lady"! Latest MRI shows NO abnormalities - the brain cancer is GONE!
Mission4Maureen is the best non-profit program from which I received financial assistance. The application process is straight forward, communication is with real people and quick, the results are fast. Mission4Maureen proved to be the best at helping me out financially when I needed it. They are truly a GREAT nonprofit!
Two family members with brain cancer and Mission4Maureen is amazing with the support, both financially and emotionally!!! Thank you!!!
I cannot tell everyone how wonderful Mission4Maureen is! They have helped through a very difficult time! Jennifer was diagnosed with Stage 3 Anaplastic Astrocytoma and the prognosis was NOT good. Married, with 4 young children, she was determined to beat this thing! Well, after 6 very difficult weeks of Chemo and Radiation daily, the tumor did not shrink at all. Very disappointing and scary. So, she went to Texas (we live in Michigan), to MD Anderson Cancer Center, where they operated on this inoperable tumor! AMEN!! They were able to remove about 80% of this tumor, so the prognosis now is much better!! But due to this, she has been off work for 6 months, and her husband for most of that time as well. With $0 income, Mission4Maureen's assistance has been invaluable and came at a time they felt they could not keep their head above water. Fear of losing your home during a time when everything else is falling apart is something they did not need! Thank you so much for helping!!!!
I was a 23 year old full time preschool teacher who just graduated from the University of Michigan. I had just been accepted into my graduate program when two months later I found out I was diagnosed with Brain Cancer. Due to brain surgery I was forced to take a month off from work for recovery. Being an independent, working and paying my way through undergrad and soon to be graduate school money was tight. Mission for Maureen was my Knight in Shining Armour, my angel watching over me and the little help I needed to get ahead. I will forever be grateful to this organization for the help that they were able to give to me and many others.
My mother was diagnosed with grade 4 gliblastoma in 2012. It was a very devastating blow to our family as my brother was killes in a car accident only a few year earlier and my uncle sied from brian cance when I was a child. At first we were hopeful that the traditional surgery and chmo and radiation therapy would work. 10 months later though as with most glioblastoma's it had returned. Her Surgeon said he would not operate again and it was only a matter of time. He cancer doctors though had just happened to have gone to a study for amunotheropy trial at Duke. She happenes to be a perfect match. The bad thing was she has to go back and forth to Suke about 600 miles each way. Needlesss to say this took a HUGE toll on my parenta finances. There is not much help you can get for brian cancer and Mission4Maureen was truely a gift from God. Unfortunately my mom passed but my family will never forget their kindness.
Mission4Maureen Is the best! I was out of work with my going back and forth to treatment once a week for 14 months. My mind was racing 100 mph trying to figure out how be there for my son and pay bills. I could do nothing but cry. I was online in the middle of the night search for resources to help me. I completed Mission4Maureen online application and with in a week help came through. Thank you so much Mission4Maureen.
Mission for Maureen was accessible and expedient in meeting my family needs. Thank you again for helping my husband and I with a financial gift to meet our basic needs. This is an organization that is filled with compassion and drive!!!.... For those who would like to see, the client served, please look up the author , Orlando Warren, book, Lynchings and American Pastimes.... He will never be forgotten, DOD 7/17/14.
To whom it may concern. please forgive me of my lateness. my goal was to write this review soon. i did not want to take an extra momment to post pond my review, considering how important this is, not just for me but for all readers. it is hard to convey, how important this is. it is not the kind of thing, one would think you would need to share, or would ever need to share, but here it is. i know thousand of quotations, words of other authors i spent my whole life reading but none have prepare me for this momment or humble me more.
we would like to think, at times like this the right words would come easy, but it does not, but what are the right words, to spend our whole lives practicing them. if as somehow through practice they would get better. as i'm writing this, i'm reliving the experiecne and re- learning it. i am imagining it, through the ears and eyes of my wife and children and it fills me with so much love, that it is hard to contain myself. considering what is ask of me, this is small of what i have ask from your organization. your agency has came to my aid right on time. when i needed it the most. It met my most unmet need and i am humbly greatful. thank you again.
Mission4Maureen is a class act through and through. We were in a financial predicament shortly after our 14-year-old son was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor and we applied for help. I remember the day I received the phone call that our application had been approved. I had just been on the phone with my Mom telling her I didn't know what we were going to do. She said thr Lord has always pulled through.
I got off the phone and received M4M's voicemail and tears streamed down my face. What a gift they are to lighten other's loads during a life challenge and all while honoring Maureen in the process. Can't sing their praises enough!
I was terminated by my employer at my son's bedside as we awaited his diagnosis. We had just found a tumor on his brain a few days before. It was horrible. As a single mother, I had no additional help to try and save my son's life. SSI only paid the bare minimum which didn't cover hardly anything with all the travel we had to do each day; 126 miles-one way to the Children's Hospital.
When I found Mission4Maureen, the electric company was prepared to turn off our lights. The next time we had to reach out to M4M; I was on the verge of losing my apartment and my vehicle.
The kindness that M4M has shown me and my son can never be repaid. They are angels among me. My son has since passed away but they continue to reach out in support sometimes and I think that is amazing...the feeling of not being forgotten.
Rosie and Mr. Walker are the most amazing people I've had the pleasure of meeting. They have helped me save my home and my car. My son, Ethan, was diagnosed with brain cancer in March of 2012. I was fired at bedside and without the help of Mission4Maureen, I'm sure I wouldn't have been able to leave my focus where it need to be..on my son.
Thank you, M4M! You're the best!
I am a social worker and I reached out to Mission for Maureen for much needed assistance for a client and her family. I was blown away by the amount with which they were able to help. Communication was prompt as well. Overall the experience far exceeding my expectations.
Larry Walker and his Mission 4 Maureen Foundation has been absolutely a blessing for our son and our family. We are so thankful for the support we have received from this wonderful nonprofit organization. May God continue to bless their mission and effort.
Thank you Mission4Maureen for paying for half of our rent this month. #KatherineTheBrave was diagnosed with DIPG on June 2nd, and since then we have struggled to pay our bills, afford her medicine, survive just in general. David had to quit his job to stay home and help with Katherine. We have lots of fundraisers, and support, although getting a bill paid directly not only eases the load financially, it takes one thing off the list that we don't have to worry about during this uncertain and stressful time we are in. Thank you... Jaime King
Unfortunately I was diagnosed with brain cancer while I was 6 months pregnant. My FMLA was exhausted through work and I lost my position. Mission4Maureen was there to help me with my finances and I could not be more grateful to such a phenomenal organization. The help that they were able to provide gave my husband and I the relief that we needed while we enjoyed our first baby girl; Alyssa. Thank you so much Mission4Maureen from the bottom of our hearts.
So extremely thankful to Mission4Maureen for helping our family with bills that had gotten behind. It's been a long year and a half since our 12 yo son was diagnosed with brain cancer. The stress of a child with a life threatening illness is bad enough, but add on the financial stress that can come from it...well... there are no adequate words of thanks for helping ease our family's stress.
The people behind this were super fast, courteous, so very helpful. God bless you all.
Very grateful for all involved in this organization did for us. There are no words to describe how they've helped our family and made it easier for us to focus on our son.
FIVE STARS IS MUCH BELOW THE STANDARD THAT MISSION4MAUREEN WAS UP TO.
THEY WERE VERY EFFICIENT AND QUICK IN RESPONDING TO OUR REQUEST FOR FINANCIAL HELP.
THEY HELPED WITH THE MEDICAL BILLS IN A WAY -HOWEVER IT WAS IN AMOUNT - TO RELIVE PART OF OUR BURDEN.
THANKS TO MISSION 4MAUREEN THAT DOES SUCH EFFICIENT WORK.
AND MANY THANKS AGAIN FOR HELPING MY WIFE WHO HAS A BRAIN LYMPHOMA.
My 12 year old son was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma a brain cancer. I was no longer able to hold a job due to his extreme high dose treatments. I reached out to Mission for Maureen in hopes of some assistance. This organization was beyond helpful and what i appreciated most was i could use my funds at my convenience as long as possible. They made our first few months getting back on our feet incredible. 5 stars is not enough for this organization in my eyes. Extremely satisfied client.
My mom suffered through two years of Glioblastoma, a terminal, non curable form of brain cancer. She was brave and fought hard, but this illness left mom and our family emotionally and physically spent; we were inundated with ceaseless medical bills.
We wanted mom to focus on her health and well being, not to have to fret over bills or failing finances. We turned to several charities and foundations for assistance; the process was daunting. Then I found Mission for Maureen. The request was simple, easy to complete and they requested easy to obtain personal financial documents. Within thirty days they were kind enough to pay one of mom's most pressing medical bills.
We are so grateful to Mission for Maureen for their support of our mom and our family at such a difficult time. I thank them for making my moms road a little bit easier.
The Principe Family
There can never be a more difficult moment for a family to receive notice that one of their loved ones has cancer. Even more, a cancer growing in the brain, one of the body's most important organs. The risks of operation are immensely high, and so is the levels of anxiety a family goes through in the course of operation and treatments. I knew that having a brain tumor would greatly affect my family emotionally. Not just so, but also economically. Even though I felt completely fine, my tumor could suddenly knock me out unconscious or blind me. Being a construction worker, usually performing my duties at 200+ft in the air, going through such sideeffects are at that times wouldn't be such a great experience. I had to stop working, putting my family on a strict budget, barely making ends meet. That is where Mission4Maureen came into my life as a huge blessing. They generously paid for my monthly home mortgage, going out of their way and went over the designated amount offered initially to pay for my high mortgage payment. My entire family is extremely grateful for such a generous gift Mission4Maureen provided us with. It definitely helped take away a lot of stress off my family I. May God continue blessing this wonderful organization in order for them to go on helping many more families going through such difficult situations.
When I learned I had brain cancer in January of 2014 I was devastated. Mission for Maureen took some burden off the costs having to drive to the next town every day to get radiation. Thanks doesn't seem like enough!
My daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumor in February of 2010. She's been through surgery, radiation and may need chemo in the future. It has taken a significant financial toll on my family. I am a single mother of two children and if it weren't for the generosity of organizations like MIssion4Maureen, I don't know where we'd be today. It brings tears to my eyes just writing this. Our story could be so much more difficult if we had to deal with this on our own. The assistance Mission4Maureen offered us was so overwhelming that to this day I tell people about them. Keep doing what you're doing, you're making lives better and helping families cope with difficult situations.
My father was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme and my parents were devastated and in desperate need of financial assistance due to his immediate loss of income and inability to continue working. Mission4Maureen was a such a blessing to our family during this very stressful time, they brought immediate relief and peace to our family by stepping up and helping with the high out of pocket medical expenses. We are very grateful to them always. (The best of any organization we contacted)!!!
My partner of 16 years was diagnosis with Glioblastoma Multiforme in November of 2014. We are both unable to work at this time due to she is disabled and I need to stay home and care for her. She needs 24/7 care and Mission4Maureen assisted us with paying some utility bills and mortgage. The service is very much appreciated and needed. The communication I had with the people there was both friendly and respectful. The money that we didn't have to spend on the utilities and mortgage that month, was used for some needed equipment that she needed in the shower and bathroom, which has made life a little easier on both of us.
I couldn't work because my daughter was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor. We were devastated!! Mission for Maureen helped relieve some of the pressure by helping us to pay some bills. That was a Blessing because I do have other children to take care of in addition to my sick baby. They even sent her Christmas gifts, unfortunately, she passed Christmas morning 2014. Hazel Brown is now our Angel. Thanks Mission for Maureen. We will forever be grateful for your help.
My name is Mark my wife is Sally. In Octonber of 2014 we recieved life changing news in the form of cancer diagnosis. Both of us have cancer. Myself Brain ands Sallys throat. We are only in our fourties and were not expecting such devistating news. With little family we were facing the most difficult time ever imaginable. Financially too we were unprepared for what was to follow. This fight is one that breaks down every asspect of a family. Financially, spiritually, emotionally and physically we were at the end of our rope. Mission for maureen was there to help. They were understanding and quick to respond. They assistted us with some bills that were weighing heavy on our minds. With that taken care of we can now focus on our health. Thank You
When my family was in danger of losing everything due to our daughters cancer, they were there for us. They paid our bills directly and beyond quickly...less than 24 hours...and we were ok.
My son Kyle is 14 and has been undergoing treatment for a pineal blastoma since December 2013. My husband continues to work , but I have not worked since he was diagnosed. In todays world it's hard to make a go of things with one income and a family of four. I reached out to Mission4Maureen and asked for some assistance paying some household bills. I submitted the application online and the next day I recieved an email stating they had approved our application that we requested $1500 to pay some of our bills. Amazing correspondences, always getting right back to me. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

My two year old toddler named Jacqueline was diagnosed with ATRT, a rare brain cancer, in April of last year. Mission for Maureen came through for my family when we were desperately in need of financial assistance. My daughter is now three and on her way to recovery. If it weren't for agencies such as Mission for Maureen, I'm not sure we would have been able to handle the overwhelming burdens of our bills, especially since I was pregnant at the time, already had an autistic son, and I had to stay with Jackie in the hospital for months. My husband had lost his job due to the absences that could not be avoided. Thank you all so much for the help. MayGod continue to shine on your organization! Peace and blessings,
Damon and Sonya Solomon
Our daughter was diagnosed with cancer last year and once her treatment was over and we could finally focus on getting back to normal life and picking our lives together, Mission4Maureen was there for us and helped us with our rent payment. They were so kind, professional, quick in response and generous. We loved it and appreciate their help, love, and support so much!
I cannot express enough gratitude to Mission4Maureen for helping my son. No parent should ever receive the phone call we got last August about him. Meeting all his financial needs while working through the nightmare was overwhelming. I thank God for these people who are there to help, and I am also so thankful to God for getting us all through it and that my son is now expecting a full life ahead.
Thank you Mission4Maureen!
Missions4Maureen were angels in disguise helping us. My son, Andrew Laury, is 18 yrs old and he relapsed with a brain tumor on 12-23-14. He had his second crainotomy on 12-31-14, and our new journey soon began, and fast. We had to rent an apartment in Houston while he was doing radiation and chemo. Even though we don't live a long distance, Andrew has anaphylaxis shock and stops breathing during treatments. Just to much of a risk. We didn't have the money to do this on our own. This organization stepped in and helped my son. We are forever grateful to them.
I was diagnosed with a very aggressive (GBM) brain tumor 6 years ago, I was very lucky to survive. With the help of Mission for Maureen, my stress was somewhat relieved by their financial help with gas cards for my trips to the hospital, and dinner cards at popular restaurants. I was pleasantly surprised by their support at a time when life seemed to be slipping away towards an uncertain future.
Thank you Mission4Maureen :-)
I was diagnosed in 2009 with Glioblastoma, there was a very high probability I would die within a year, those were very dark days indeed. Mission4Maureen offered a ray of sunshine which helped me financially to get through my long drives to my chemo appointments. I was stunned by the charity this private couple offered me, for which I am eternally grateful. Thank you Mission4Maureen for your selfless generosity! :-)
Mission for Maureen is making a real difference everyday. Our son was diagnosed with an inoperable grade II brain tumor when he was just four years old. When we had to travel from Ohio to Califronia for surgery Mission for Maureen helped us pay for his life saving surgery. It was hard enough to just make the trip and the financial help we received lifted a huge burden allowing us to focus on our son when he needed us most! Our son is now seven years old and is still fighting. Mission for Maureen has continued to help us with medical bills as they keep coming in. The staff is amazing, their gift is in their loving support, that means the world to us.
Thank God for this wonderful organization reaching out to help those in need!
Our 6 year old son Oliver has been battling a brain tumor for the past year and a half. We have had to travel out of state for surgery and out of network treatment is very expensive. The financial burden weighs heavy on us as we try to focus on getting our son the care he needs. Mission4Maureen has been an answer to our prayers! They reached out to us when we need it most and have come along side us to help lift the heavy burden. They truly care about our struggle and their help provides so much hope during such a difficult time. We are so grateful for their support and pray that Mission4Maureen will continue to provide hope to families dealing with the financial burden that comes along with the diagnosis of a brain tumor.
With our most sincere thanks,
The Demrovsky family

We were very thankful we found Mission4Maureen. What a great organization! Our 11-year old daughter Emma was diagnosed with a brain tumor and soon the medical bills began to skyrocket. It has been nine months and the bills keep coming. This nonprofit more than met our expectations and helped us to pay off one hospital completely. What a blessing. We would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone seeking financial assistance.
Thank you so much for what you have done for me and my husband. If I could give you more than 5 stars, I definitely would! My husband is fighting a terrible brain tumor right now and Mission4Maureen was a prayer answered! With me out of work to help take care of him, and David not working, we were at a loss of what to do to help pay our bills. Mission4Maureen helped ease our struggles and our minds. Thank you so much for caring. The money absolutely helps, but we will forever be grateful knowing people who have never even met us, care so much. God Bless.
When someone is dealing with a brain tumor, it can seem like pressure is coming at you from every side. It hasn't been easy to help our son deal with pain and treatments, help our other children deal with the process, and be strong as a husband and wife together. We are so grateful for Mission4Maureen. They helped with some of the financial pressure we face in a very understanding, simple, and time efficient manner, so that we can focus on our family. Thank you so much!
Very respectful in their treatment to clients served. Keep up the important work you do!
Because of Mission4maureen I am able to focus more on my son Dalen journey after chemo treatment. I am so grateful and thankful for this organization. I really don't know what I would have done without your support.
Mission4maureen is amazing. Our Calista is a second time cancer patient & it came as such a surprise, & mission4maureen understood that. They are truly a blessing not only to Calista but to our entire family , we love them and thanks again
My 11yr old was diagnosed with AA3. After surgery, radiation, and chemo, everything is looking good. I am a single mom and quit my job. Mission4Maureen helped me when i was in a very tough time financially. WE do not have to move now. I can not thank them enough. Im very grateful there are people that give to charities today!! Forever Thankful, Lisa
What a great organization. . . The donation couldn't have come at a better time. My husband was diagnosed with his brain tumor last Sept, exactly 3 months after we were married, knocked us on our butts. He didn't even think something like this could have happened to us. Over 12K in our non covered expenses isn't the way you want to start a marriage. Mission for Maureen wiped away one bill in it's entirety. Thank you so much for your help. Apply if you need help and GIVE if you can, we need it.
Mission4Mauren served me and my family while my daughter was hospitalized at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for more than a month. My experience with this organization helped lifted a big burden off me and my family. I pray that God continue to bless this organization and help it prosper more in the future to come. Get connected with Mission4Maureen and I guarantee they will help ease all worrys and pain that your family is facing. I thank God for the friendly phone calls and also the donation they made for our family. My plans in the future as God bless me financially, I will be donating to this organization in the memory of my daughter Ms. Aubrianna Shanelle Jones. Again thank you Mission4Maureen and my Gods prosperity rest upon your organization!
I am the recipient of financial assistance from Mission 4 Maureen when I had a brain tumor in 2009. Had it not been for this assistance I would have lost my only means of transportation to receive chemotherapy 3 hours away from my home. I am incredibly grateful for the assistance I received and hope M4M is able to continue to help others in need for a long time to come.
I am unfortunate to have brain cancer. It has obviously been terrible for me and my family in many ways including financially. Thanks to Mission 4 Maureen for their kindness in helping me with their generosity and for the financial help it gives others. G-D bless them!
I applied for financial assistance through my social worker Maggie Brady , I received a check not too long after , with my brain tumor I had to stop working immediately, the check was made out to my landlord i really appreciated the great support. Thank You Again.
Mission 4 Maureen is a Godsend when your world feels like it is falling apart. What sets them apart from other "charities" is that they have personally been affected in the ways the clients they serve have been. They get it!!!!! M4M is family. They welcome you in with open arms. Asking for help is never easy and M4M makes the process so easy in a time when even the smallest task can seem overwhelming. GREAT organization. GREAT people.
When my husband, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor at the age of 39, was finally no longer able to work, Mission4Maureen was there to help where no one else was. It's not just about the medical bills and traveling expenses. It was about losing the breadwinners income. We were lucky that we had wonderful insurance and family resources. But even that was not enough. Mission4Maureen understands that it is the day to day, month to month expenses that families ultimaltely need the most help with. Having one less stress, one less worry gives greater peace of mind to the patient and the caregiver. During the final weeks and days of my husbands life I was present. Not just physically, but mentally and spriritually because I was not concerned about how to pay the mortgage or keeping the lights on. Sure there was debt, but it was more manageable, thanks to Mission4Maureen.
Mission4Maureen really took a financial burden off my chest as I wasn't able to work for about 4 months. The response I felt was overwhelming for me. I felt like I had know the people for a long time. They are a very caring group. Being diagnosed with a brain tumor has enough stress in it self. This mission is unbelievable. I greatly appreciate them.
Mission4Maureenwas a blessing to find. Our daughter was diagnosed with an ependymoma
brain tumor which no one knew was in her head. Until she experience severe headaches.
After suffering a seizure she was rushed to 2 different hospitals . Arriving to Westchester Medical where there they saved her life. We were began receiving hospital bills ,medication bills her rehabilitation expenses and living cost was so much to bare. We researched the internet and found this wonderful nonprofit organization . We read the story and felt a real connection with them. At that point we decide to ask for help. This organization is wonderful they helped us with our daughter medical bill and help us breathe a little better while we helped our daughter get back on her feet. We still are in her 2 1/2 year mark only half way to her remission point but we couldn't have done it with out MISSION4MAUREEN.
Our story is begins with the sudden illness of our 13 year old daughter who began having horrible headaches. After some time going through testing and visits with her doctor we were prepared to visit a neurologist. The day before she had a seizure in our home. After the initial hospital we were told she had a mass/tumor on her brain. Westchester medical is were she under went a 12 hours of surgery. The tumor was cancerous and we have been on a steady road of her recovery. You couldn't imagine how overwhelming the medical bills have been. Surgery ,therapy, medication , MR'IS,EEG'S (Every three months) and even everyday living .We felt blessed with our daughter's recovery but we were drowning financially . One night I was online and looking for help .Found the mission4maureen website. Read the story of Maureen, I cried and felt that we could understand there mission the loss they felt in losing daughter, wife, friend. When reading and exploring the site we discovered they help families in need. They paid for back medical bills and some of our home bills . When doing the application I spoke to one of there reps and I was treated with kindness and concern for our situation. Mission4mareen is a wonderful organization and should be recognized as such. They care .
Mission4Maureen was a godsend for us after my husband was diagnosed with glioblastoma. They were there for us with help to offset our medical bills.

This organization has helped many families I have referred for financial help. They have helped families in desperate need-families who could not find help from any other organization.
This is a wonderful Mission! My Mom has a Brain Tumor and has lived with it 14 years. They helped me take Mom to Florida again and what a Happy Time She had!
I have a 8 year old daughter that has brain cancer and her tumor can not be removed. I can't work and I had following on really hard times. This organization save me from loosing my car. I had a brain tumor removed and with it all kinds of expenses. It was truly a blessing to be able to obtain some financial relief from Mission for Maureen. There are so many programs and services for other cancers, but brain cancer relief programs are far and few between.
Hello i am a Brain Tumor Patient/Survivor who lives with an incurable Brainstem Tuor that nearly took my life 4 years ago. I underwent 2 Brain Surgeries for the complications from this and am happy to be alive and doing OK. Mission 4 Maureen helped me to take care of some necessities I could no longer pay as y health was bad last year. They are an amazing organization that takes care of the patient not another Research Organization which is what people in our situation desperately need cosidering Brain Cancers often devastating effects on our lives and that of our family. Thank you Mission 4 Maureen. Sincerely,
I had 2 brain surgeries, one in 2012 and one almost a year later in 2013. I am 42 years old and I was diagnosed with a pediatric malignant tumor, usually seen in infants to 5 years old. The surgeries were successful and I went through 6 weeks of radiation: full brain, spine and boost to the tumor site. I was finished with treatment in January but I am still experiencing lingering syptoms. I have a husband of 18 years and we have boy/girl twins and a little girl all under 5 years old. Needless to say our lives have been a struggle, but I am so thankful to everyone at Mission4Maureen for their support. I am so deeply grateful for helping my family in a time of need. God bless, Kerri Musallet
The last 16 months of our journey with Glioblastoma stage 4 has been a test of faith and hope. After 3 Brain surgeries and countless trips to the team of doctors, the standard of care, the trail and now another treatment we keep praying this will be it. Our prayer now is that we will get the news that its at least in remission. I cant even stress the effects emotionally this has had on my husband, myself and our two boys. I can tell you the financial stress is overwhelming. Having Mission4Maureen did remove a bit of that stress last month by assisting with our household bills. I will be forever grateful to this organization.
June of 2013, glioblastoma stage 4 brain cancer came into our lives, unwanted and unexpected. Along with it came medical bills, daily household expenses that needed to be met, but money only stretches so far, our insurance company recommended that we contact mission for maureen to help with some of those bills. I did and will say, I was skeptical, but they came through with help in the form of assisting with a large bill that needed to be paid. This site, and organization is a wonderful godsend for those sick & in need of assistance. I can only hope that one day, I'll be able to donate back to them to keep this going.
