If skills for life is one of the most amazing programs that I have ran across. If the people that run this program are amazing! The programs they have for vets are absolutely barnun the best I've ever participated in! If when we go on our outings it's just like being back with my soldiers. The Times we share while on these retreats are not only fun, they're therapeutic too. If you've ever thought about joining or going on a retreat with Skills for life and haven't, don't hesitate to join... I promise you won't regret it!
Not only am I $78,000 out of debt with the aid of monthly financial counseling... MWSF gave me and my family a place to call our home. Without MWSF, I whole heartily believe that me and my Wife would be homeless or stuggling in a 400 sq ft apartment... and without this house they gave me for free (with 3 yr commitment), I don't think me and my Wife would have been blessed with our two newest babies in our family. MWSF literally saved my life and massively improved my family's quality of life. I CANNOT express how grateful and respectful I am of this Organization! May God Bless this non-profit even more so they truely can make the ultimate impact NO OTHER (in my opinion, Coalition to Salute America's Heroes is runner up for sure!) organization can! I still live in my house almost a year now after my Deed transfer. Next spring I am selling this wonderful house of which I invested $20,000 of remodeling and new Air Conditioner Unit with some help of other nonprofits (dog kinked the compressor line, no bieno!). I have purchased land in my home State and plan on starting construction soon.... the sale of this house is paying for everything being built. So in essence, MWSF gave me the opportunity to live my dream as a Homesteader and live it where I want too. The donated house was never entended to be a platform to reach my dreams... my dreams of Homesteading recently developed over the last few years.
Thanks again MWSF, God Bless!
We lost our home in 2015 due to mold and mildew. We found out last week that we were being awarded a mortgage-free home in NC! We are in complete shock. We have been through a very rough patch in our lives. MWSF has been amazing! We can not wait to move into our beautiful home:) Thank you MWSF so much for this home!
MWSF has blessed me and my family tremendously in an unimaginable way. We are excited about our new house and still loving it!!!
MWSF has blessed my son and I with a wonderful home. Thank you for such a generous opportunity. This was totally unexpected and a memory that will last forever. My son and I are looking forward to our new start on life and making this house our home.
we are in the final process of transferring the deed of the house over to us, lots of good people behind the scene to make this process smooth and painless.
Like we have mentioned before, there is no words to describe how grateful we are, grateful to MWSF, donors and lots of other generous people that made this possible.
The feeling is like what we felt over in the begging of this journey, unreal, happiness, and tears.
We can't believe that this beautiful home is ours, a home that offer us a sacred space to retreat from our daily lives issues, a home that offer us a sense of safety, a home that is bringing lots of good memories past and future.
Over the three years we have experienced the joy of doing some beautification projects outside and inside. This experience has also brought me some sense of calm and relaxation and pride. It is kind of therapeutic for me to work around the house, because I knew that after three years, this beautiful home will be ours and the feeling of a pride homeowner.
MWSF not only donated this house to us, but they have also provided a safety blanket over the shoulders of myself and my family.
They also provided us with avery kind and helpful, financial mentor.
Deena Noonan, our financial advisor has educated me and my wife on how to better manage our finances, and about the many responsibilities of being a homeowner. With her help, we have finally paid off all of our debt, debt that couldn't probably never allow us to own a home.
With her help, we can gladly say that we are ready to tackle the many responsibilities that come with being a homeowner. And the responsibilities of of using money and credit in a responsible way.
I don't get tired of saying this but I truly believe that MWSF is the true definitions of what making a difference looks like, they building hopes, dreams, joy and happiness for our Wounded Warriors and their families, gold start families and many others.
My family and I will be forever grateful to you, Bank of America, the many other donors and countless people that made this amazing non-profit organization possible and our dream of owing a beautiful home.
From the bottom of my hart, thank you very much and God bless you all.
The Oribio's family
Where would you be without Military Warriors Support Foundation?
I will be probably be living in the same undesirable area and same apartment I was living before be giving this amazing opportunity of owning a house.
MWSF has giving my family and I a decent neighborhood and house to call home. A house that my family and I are proud to come home, a house that is sacred for our family well being, and a house that give us the opportunity to get away from everything and just enjoyed us being a family.
Thank you to MWSF, donors and volunteers, God bless you all!
The Oribio's family
MWSF has given me a home where I can plant roots and start a family on a sound foundation. I no longer have to worry that my rent is going to continue to rise to the point of forcing me to move or worse. Without MWSF I wouldn't have a place to call my own, my home.
MWSF gave me and my family a mortgage free home in the state we wanted. The area the house was in could not have been better. MWSF truly set us up for success for the rest of our lives.
From a Retired Veteran SSG Brian Bentley. The Military Warrior Support Foundation has been a blessing to my life and my family. Having this incredible opportunity to live in a home that we can call our own and not worry about a mortgage has instrumentally given us a hope and a chance to live again. The mentorship program has revolutionized our lives by allowing us to pay off debt and learn how to manage our finances the right way. If not for the Military Warrior Support Foundation I would still be struggling just to make ends meet with debt and expenses. Having our first child in June would have been so stressful, this has truly given us a chance to raise a family and have a peace about our future. I can focus on being a Father and I can focus on integrating back into living instead of just surviving. Words can not express how grateful my family and I are for this wonderful Foundation. The Military Warrior Support Foundation has totally changed our lives forever. God Bless the Military Warrior Support Foundation and all the people that are in it. Thank You!
Mwsf has been a true blessing to me and my family we can not describe what it's been like . One is they got me to pay attention to what I was buying, and they really helped me get my old debt paid off which is huge.
I just hope other veterans gets a chance to do this program and get a leg up on life
MWSF is a amazing donor foundation that allowed me to become a home owner. Being a disabled Purple Heart Marine Veteran I am eternally grateful to everyone who worked together to donate a home to me. Semper Fi.
MWSF provided the stability and foundation for a new life after my husband was medically retired from the Army. I cannot express my deepest, most heartfelt gratitude for being there and providing us with a new approach to financial independence, renewed faith in humanity and family, all within a gorgeous new home to start our new life in. They truly saved multiple lives that day they awarded us a home; my husband, myself, and our three boys. We cannot thank you enough. God Bless.
I was wounded in combat during Operation Enduring Freedom in 2011. I suffered a gunshot wound to my right femoral artery and anoxic brain syndrome from the blood loss.
I applied for a home this year through Military Warriors Support Foundation and was awarded a brand new home through a partnership with Pulte's Built to Honor program.
The whole experience has been literally unbelievable. Military Warriors Support Foundation is giving me a brand new home that is coming fully furnished and are setting me up for success with a financial mentor who will work with me for years. I can't thank them enough for everything they're doing for me. I feel truly blessed for all the help they are giving me.
Military Warrior Support Foundation has help me achieve my goals. They have taken a lot of stress away and let me focus on going to school and graduating. I recently graduated this December of 2016 with a Bachelors in Science from the University of Houston. Leaving the military can be tough on some if not most; Military Warriors Support Foundation has help me transition and build a strong foundation.
Kimney! It brings us great joy in seeing you succeed! We are all very proud of your accomplishments and proud to have you part of our family!
This organization has helped me build a better future. I do not have to worry about trying to make rent at the end of every month while going to school full time. I will be graduating this December 2016 with a Bachelors in Science at the University of Houston. The organization sets up a call every month to talk about issues that you might have and will try their best to assist you anyway they can. I am very blessed for them to come into my life.
My husband had gotten discharge from the army he had received a Purple Heart and was suffering with many issues. We were struggling financially to support our family and to pay off our debt. We received a house from the military warriors foundation we r so grateful we were able to adjust to our new life with him out of the army and pay off almost all of our debt. This house saved our family. We are so grateful.
We can't thank MWSF enough. Just a week ago we received a phone call from Savanah, awarding us with a mortgage free home! My husband, Ben served 10 years in the Air Force. Unfortunately Ben was injured while deployed to Iraq and was medically retired just last month. While we prepare for this major transition in our life's, Savanah couldn't have called at a better time. We can now breath knowing our family has a home to go to while we navigate our new "normal". This organization has been a blessing to my family and we can't wait to get settled into our new home so Ben can begin his road to recovery, stress free. Thank you MWSF!! We are forever grateful!
The wounded Warrior foundation here in San Antonio has been nothing short of a life saver for me. I retired in 2013 as Chief Warrant Officer 3 with a Masters degree and couldn't find a job. I reached out to the Wounded Warrior foundation and was assigned a job search assistant (Linda Cubera), and she was absolutely amazing. She gave me great tips on what jobs to pursue and how to tailor my resume. She also provided simulated mock interviews and was brutally honest. I truly needed that! She would also put me in contact with local businesses looking for people with my skill set, and she would periodically check up on me to see how I was doing in my job search, and after I started working she would still check up on me to see how things were going.
As a 22 year veteran I truly appreciate the effort of this organization that helped me get to where I am today. Linda Cubera is an asset to the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
My family and I thanks the Military Warriors Support Foundation for awarding us with something we have strived for a long time. Owning our own home means the world to us. We have been renting a home for the past few years that has a very bad termite problem and needed renovations. We dreamed of having a home were we could raise our children to be the best that they can be. We were astounded of how the process of applying was extremely easy and fast. We applied and turned in all of the documents we needed and in about two and a half weeks later we were told that we were awarded the house. Dealing with our case manager was a very pleasing experience. Ms. Savannah was extremely polite, helpful, and answered all questions we had. This organization is wonderful and I hope they continue to change lives for the better like they have done for us.
On March 1st 2017,after many prayers...the best news came from our case manager~the best out there Ms. Savannah❤. We were homeless,we were struggling and after 1 1/2 year from our application date MWSF came as a blessing upon blessings straight from God. Now we finally got to know that feeling that we imagined when we've seen someone wining the lottery on tv.It's like a dream and even if we are a month away from moving and making contact with our new home..it still hasn't sinked in.
The apartment we live in is our 5th address in last 6 years. Our two children are born in diferent states and every military personnel knows the feeling...But now we finally can think of a new beginning. With less struggle and more hope.My husband served America, fought for this flag and signed his life away for freedom. He was in the worst situation and the most attaked outpost COP Margah was his home for a year.I remember sending him packages with wipes (his shower at times), tabasco ( to make the MRE's taste better) and medication for his blistering feet and warm socks.. to go in missions where he lost brothers..allways will be remembered Manuel Vasquez and Danie Quintana( Se the clip of the attack actual footage from the explosion that was covered by BBC as well)...I know my husband heart and ours will allways bleed for these men that never returned to their loved ones. My husband witnessed their tears, their struggles and their hard work only to see them gone from this life and lost in eternity, just courageous men/women that sacrificed it all for this country. My husband served America and his ARCOM of Valor is pride to me..but to him it's just a piece of metal, a vivid memory of death.Death that he escaped..and hints of anger and sorrow for his brothers whom death trapped in its snare...What my husband has lost, can never be replaced. All the hours that were spent away from him, will never come back. But what HOPE is happening through MWFS and its sponsors, and its donors ! Hope that America hasn't forgotten her heroes and men and women of Valor. So Thank you everyone for a new beginning! Thank you from the deeps of our hearts! The Garcia Family.
They are a god send. Thank you for what y'all did for me. I will always be in debt.
This foundation was brought to our attention back in August of 2016. We have applied for a home and are currently waiting to hear something. My husband suffers from multiple disabilities from his service to our country and I am a 2 year Breast Cancer Survivor still under treatment and now facing yet another scare with breast cancer... My husband is having another surgery this month.... We were given 6 weeks notice to move in August from our former residence due to it was going to be sold..... We were unaware of this program, but it is an awesome program that benefits so many. So happy to see programs like this out there that supports our Military~ When my husband was in Iraq and gone for 18 months there was something that I wrote on every single letter and package that I sent to him and other soldiers and it holds true today..... Friends, Family, Freedom........ Have you thanked a soldier lately...... Thank you for all that you do!
We got a phone call today that we were selected for a home. Could not be happier. My son now has a room of his own and a yard to play in. Our family is so grateful. Thank you MWSF. You have no idea how much this has impacted our lives. My 7 yr old son cannot contain himself! My fiance' cried when we got the call.
All I can say is when a person feels down and out, you should really hang in there because you never know when your prayers will be answered and MWSF did just that, when they awarded my wife and I a mortgage free home in Illinois. After 10 years of service and three, year long deployments I was medically discharged from the US Army and fell upon many challenges. My wife and I ended up moving home and staying with family in a home that was not ours. I am sure others have had this happen and know that you never feel like yourself in another persons home when you are living there. Well after staying for quit sometime, we found out we were expecting a little baby on the way which caused us to worry almost instantly as to what we would do. Our prayers were answered when MWSF called and said we were awarded the home. We are still in shock, we fell almost silent when we were notified because we had never had anything that great happen in our favor( minus our little one coming :)). We have so much respect for organizations like this that really do give back to the veterans and military and not just talk the talk. Thank you MWSF and always keep doing what you do.!!!!!!!!
I would like to thank MWSF words cannot explain how you have forever change me and my family life forever
There are no words to describe what a blessing MWSF has been to our family...but I will try. After returning from a tour in Iraq (and 26 total years in the military), my husband suffered a TBI which triggered severe PTSD. My husband needed a fresh start, free from triggers and reminders of the past. Our mortgage-free home, that was provided by the Military Warrior Support Foundation, has allowed my husband (and our family) to experience LIFE again. Our home is in Florida> in a peaceful, and quiet neighborhood. This home is a BLESSING beyond BLESSINGS! My husband feels SAFE here and at peace. We also have the peace that comes from not having a mortgage hanging over our heads. Our prayer is that GOD will continue to bless MWSF and all of those involved. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
My husband was injured in Iraq. He suffers from a TBI, PTSD and tinnitus as a result from multiple blasts and IEDs. We were told about this program through the VA caregiver program and honestly, thought it was "too good to be true"...but NOT TRUE! The individuals that we spoke with were so professional and organized. It is very clear that they have a system that works and use it the exact same way for each applicant. Great people. Awesome LIFE CHANGING gift to give a soldier and his/her family!
MWSF gave my family stability and hope for our future. Not having to worry about a mortgage took so much of our burden away. We will struggle with many things but what we don't have to worry about is a place to call home and a place to raise our child. We are so grateful for your dedication to our family. It's an honor to be part of the MWSF family!
MWSF changed our life. If this agency was not here for us, I know that my soldier would not be the father and husband he is today. The relief of a new life, a new start, and nurturing advice to get us from 'derailed without hope' to 'en pointe and succeeding'. Words cannot convey the change that has encompassed our entire family just because of Military Warriors Support Foundation. They are a blessing and an answered prayer. I urge other soldiers to go to them and apply because the aid they have given us went over and beyond our wildest dreams. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Honestly, I don't know and I get scared at the thought of where I would be if it was not for the Military Warriors Support Foundation. I went through a very rough divorce in 2013 and was living in my parents camper on the side of their house. I had my children every weekend in a camper and after about a month it turned into full time. Being a single dad with full custody of my 4 children so fast, I had no where to turn until I found the website for the Foundation. They jumped right into action and before I knew it I was at the ceremony and given the keys to my new home. I could not hold back the tears that day in front of everyone. The Military Warriors Support Foundation has truly given my 4 children and I a way to cope with the divorce in a comfortable and secure setting. All of my children are enjoying life and all of them finished last year with honor roll and I could not be happier. I am forever grateful and a true example at what the foundation can do for you.
Hello and Thank You....Military Warriors Support Foundation has changed The Duety Family for life. Before we heard about MWSF we were living in one trashy neighborhood and house after another barely getting by with the bills and the rent. We were unable to correct our credit score to be able to even get a loan for a car much less our own home. Thanks to MWSF we have brought our credit score up, learned how to better our finances, and also learned how to budget our money a lot better.
The Program is helpful and gives the Current Military as well as retired Military the ability to own there own home where most would be unable to.
I hope that MWSF can continue to give peace and assurance to other Military Families for a long time to come. We have given advice to friends of ours that are both current and retired Military about this program in hopes that they to can succeed with there life long goals and dreams.
I am so pleased with the experience that myself and Wife have received with MWSF and how much information that the Budget Counselor has given us and advice that she provides us. She truly wants us to succeed in life.
Military Warriors Support Foundation (MWSF) awarded us a house, I must say it is one of the greatest gifts I could have ever received. They helped me pay down my debt to where I have only a car payment and utilities to pay, I have no credit card debit and it's because of MWSF. THANK YOU so much MWSF.
A year ago MWSF reached out to me when I was at my worst. Now with their mentoring I have a home and can rebuild my life
MWSF made what was only a dream become a reality, they gave me a home to call my own. But they don't stop there, they are by your side to help you transition along the way! They really care
I can't say enough about this amazing organization. They have made such a hard transition a million times easier. They've taken so much stress off of my family. The beautiful home we received has been an amazing blessing
MWSF awarded me a home in 2014, here I am 4th of July weekend in 2016 with a lock on my door and no notice. I'm scavenging for resources with my service dog. I am a Purple Heart recipient and they treated me like trash when I couldn't pay unnecessary fees on time due to being on a fixed income. This entire experience has been a nightmare that has left me homeless, hungry and alone.
After reviewing all the information i could find on this charity i have come to the conclusion that this is a very high speed program to help my battles out. My wife suffers from PTSD due to MST because of scum bag NCOs while she was downrange in Afghanistan and i am a medically retired army combat veteran that was injured in Iraq and we have 4 kids now. When we got out the army it was like we where case aside and forgotten about. The only thing i was ever any good at was taken away and my family suffered because of it. We racked up debt, rental judgment and are still living day to day as of now. I pray that the military warriors support foundation reviews my wifes case because we filed under her and we get into the program and a home for my family. I was raised to qork for everythjng butbim very limited due to my disability and my kids deserve a better future. This program for a mortgage free home and into this program. I would shout the name of this organization and be a honored to help them any way i could if they did this for us.
My husband and I were just awarded a home through MWSF. We are so grateful to have our first home where we can raise our son and build relationships in our new community. Our experience with the organization has always been positive and we are thankful to everyone who has helped us along in the process. We are so excited to have a home to call our own.
My name is Jesenya and I am a gold star kid. I sent this Non profit a message with some questions. They read my message but refuse to respond to me. I sent them a follow up message asking why they never responded to me and they continued to ignore me. Nice way to treat the children of our Fallen. I am going to look up the financials for them in detail. For a gold star kid to be treated this way, they obviously have no heart. Someone has to be making a salary here. So much for common courtesy.
Jesenya, Our apologies for not responding sooner. We did see your message and wanted to make sure we responded, obviously we forgot and that error is on us. We want to thank you for taking the time to reach out to us about our processes and why they are what they are. Our selection process is inline with our mission statement of serving combat wounded veterans, and in that line of service we award mortgage-free homes to the unmarried surviving spouses (Gold Star spouse) of an armed forces service member who was Killed-In-Action. Our vetting process and selection process strictly observes OFFICIAL MILITARY DOCUMENTATION on who the next of Kin is and who is listed as the spouse of the deceased. Please note, upon further consideration, supporting documentation for all listed tours, awards and decorations will be required. A copy of the D1300 and DD2064 would also be required. Our programs are designed to ease the combat wounded veteran & unmarried Gold Star spouse back into civilian life. Our veterans have seen the world through a lens that we cannot possibly imagine. MWSF has a good mission but led by crooks who take advantage of the organization and becoming millionaires. CEO and VPs get crazy salaries, paid family trips complete with massages, dinners, etc, car allowances, insurance, etc. If you question anything....middle managers are paid off with a 5K-10K bonus and it just continues. To top it all off, their CEO is NOT what he claims to be.....do a simple search of military records and you can find that out!
today I got the news that I gonna have a mortgage free home thank you Military Warrior Foundation has been a HUGE blessing to us.
Today on Thanksgiving Day 2015, we are thankful to Military Warrior Support Foundation, for their kindness and for changing our lives in the biggest way. On Nov 18, 2015, our family received a mortgage free home, that was and is beyond what we could have ever dreamed of. Our cup runneth over of JOY and GRATITUDE for this foundation. The amazing people who work for this foundation have just blessed our socks off!! How can we ever say thank you enough?? We can't...Our families lives have changed now from generations going forward b/c of MWSF, Humana Military, US Bank and Five Brothers. We are so blessed by this foundation that my wife and I just wanna be apart of what they are doing, we would love to work with Military Warriors, play apart in these blessings and we want to continue to change lives, pay it forward and help these great men and women and their families. Its kind of like once you get a taste of this blessing, you just want to give it back. Pay it forward.
My family would also like to Thank God the Father, our Jesus Christ for this tremendous blessing and favor shown towards our family. We love you Lord!
The McAlister Family, (Jason, Lendie, Emmy, Jack and Sam)
Where do i start, I been with this program for about a year now. Since i been in the program I one person got fired, another one quit. My mentor is ready to quit, she don't like the way they tell her to handle her veterans. I live in a hotel more then my house, the house shouldn't been give to anyone. To get anything done for the house it take three to four months. by the time they ready to start repair your home it would of cause more damage to the house. Program Manager Family Transition & Mentoring, which is a new person but couldn't due their job as a Family Financial Coordinator | Family Transition. If you want to give to someone there another charity just like this, which is way better. Oh......... I must add check into the house once you get it, you will found out that you owe back taxes, you have fines on your home. The home warranty not paid, so when you trying an fix things without them you can't.
Military Warrior Foundation has been a HUGE blessing to us. Between them and Operation Homefront these two organizations surpass every kind of word that could describe awesome!!! The ONLY one thing that we wish is that they could stay in more contact with us after blessing us with our BEAUTIFUL home! However, they have done SOOO much more for us than WWP! And you can see it, especially with the new program that they have coming out with vehicles for veterans... Like really.... Who does that??? Who besides this organization has shown this much LOVE and care for our brave men and women?? So far just two that I've seen, and one is Military Warrior foundation!
Before MWSF my family of 8 was living in a tent until we could get any VA benefits before we even thought about looking for a place to live. It was early summer when we received a call that we had been chosen to receive a house! The relief was so incrediblely overwhelming we had to stop driving to process the information. We received our house in June of 2013 and have not regretted it in any way. Through the process we have learned a great deal about ourselves and what we can accomplish outside of the military. We have learned how to live off a stricter budget, how to approach ANY type of credit and most of all that there organizations who are honest and have not forgotten about us once we leave service!
We have had the opportunity to meet many of the people from the foundation including Ken Eakes, Gen. Cisco, Andrea and many others while enjoying many events with those people and have even made friends with others through these meetings. This program is a blessing and a learning experience for us and we are both very grateful and appreciative with humble hearts for the opportunities the foundation has given us.
For so long we hoped and prayed,
For a home to call our own,
And today we got an amazing call from an amazing young lady and more amazing people telling my husband and I that we have no more worries our children can finally have a home they can for ever be thankful for and know how wonderful MWSF is for doing what you all do by blessing so many lives from our families to you all thank you, thank you, thank you...
Words cannot express the impact MWSF had on transforming mine and my family's lives when granting the best gift of all...a forever home to call our own. As a combat wounded Veteran, life is extremely difficult when adjusting back to the civilian world and success seems unattainable far too often. However, the enormous blessing I've received from the foundation, along with its dedicated staff, has allowed me to provide again for my family as head of household, as a husband, and as a father which has restored my sense of pride and confidence that had long ago been destroyed. I can now proudly look at my wife's eyes and know I am providing the security and stability my family deserves for the love and care they have given me while caring for me with my disabilities. The stories are real, the life-changing moment is real thanks to the dedicated staff, sponsors, and everyone involved in making this dream become a reality. My most sincerest and deepest gratitude for bringing hope and purpose back into my life.
The Rojas Family
Without MWSF we would be living in one bad neighborhood and house after another because that is where we were able to some what afford to live... Living from one paycheck to the next barely....
Having found MWSF and becoming a Client we are now able to better manage our money with the Financial Mentor/Advisers they put us with and we are now able to see where our money is going and in the end will own our home which would have never happened otherwise.. Our Family feels like we can make it now where before MWSF was in our life we thought we would be struggling for the rest of our lives...
So a really BIG THANK YOU TO THE MWSF for changing our lives for the better and showing that there are people out there that care about our Service Men and Women and really want to see family's being cared for even after there time in the Service is over.... They Still Matter and they are Still Cared About
The Duety Family
Without this foundation we would not have been able to own a home and now we do.. This place is awsome, amnd the people are wondeful.....
With out MWSF we would still be in debit, struggling to make it to the next month. We have been in the program for over two and a half years. We have paid off all of our credit cards and half of our car payment and we have been able to save money. Our mentor has helped in so many ways from simple problems to helping us understand and live with in our monthly budget. If it wasn't for MWSF we would still be struggling and never have the ability to be home owners.when I first heard about MWSF I thought that it was a scam some type of catch to it , boy I was wrong MWSF works hard to help Veterans and their families.
My Family and I left the military in a quick way. All of my injuries left me in a state that are dreams and plans changed forever. Sleeping on the couch of a family member trying to deal with pain and mental issues. Things were getting rough for my family as our 5 children had nowhere to call their own. My wife tried to assist me as I had the feeling of a failure not being able to provide for my family. I found Military Warrior Support Foundation and these Angels sent from Heaven changed our lives forever. MWSF and Chase bank teamed up along with a donor and awarded us a 5 bedroom house in Fort Worth, Texas. They helped me in providing a home mortgage free for my family and I. This has taken the largest financial burden off of us for me to work on fixing me. I have made leaps and bounds to my recovery after multiple surgeries and lots of mental therapy. The organization has provide a financial mentor during the 3 year commitment that contacts us monthly. The support and education of the mentor has helped us re-establish our credit rating and a more financial secure future. I'm grateful to MWSF and Chase bank for what they did for our family and I hope people can understand the great things this organization does daily for so many. They have invited me to play golf through their skills for life program and I wanted to take a moment to tell all of the donors and staff of MWSF thank you for saving my life because without you I know I wouldn't have made it through my injuries and mental problems....
I am so appreciative for MWSF and what they have done for my son and I. Because of them I have have the opportunity to have my own home and to finally get some stability in my life. Because of them I now have the pathway to a promising future.
I am beyond grateful for MWSF and what they have done for my family. Because of them I can have peace of mind, knowing my family has stability. We can focus on health & recovery and be hopeful for our future. I medically retired from the army 8 months ago, after 14 years of service. The transition has been rough to say the least; we quickly found ourselves falling behind, suffering from stress, and other disability related symptoms. MWSF is the best thing that has ever happened to my family. They saved us and I am forever thankful.
We just found out that our family will be receiving a home. I consider myself lucky to have encountered such a great organization such as MWSF. We are so grateful to have been chosen for such a life changing opportunity. I cant wait to move into the home to have stability for my family. Thank MWSF for making a dream come true for yet another veteran.

Love the Bennett family :)
they either give to people that work for them and made friends with the higher ups like General Leroy Sisco, or if they feel they can profit off your photo. I was lied to by them for over a year saying they were willing to help me as Im a purple heart recipient deployed twice as infantry and have been fighting terminal brain cancer since June 2009. I was led on until after over a year I finally hear the truth that I was never being considered but know of several with minor injuries to receive homes. To be fair they never declare what process they use to determine who gets help with one of their homes but also feel that hearing about several people who were friends with them were promised a house before they even applied for one. But I guess thats life no one said it was fair, just don't like how they are not really held to much of a standard.
I was wounded in Iraq 11 years ago, I barley found had the strength a few years ago, to admit that I needed help. To admit to myself I was hurt. To accept it, I've seen my scars, yes I have seen the x-rays, I have read my diagnosis, but accepting it was the true struggle, learning that beating my disabilities was the wrong approach, rather accepting, embracing, living with them. Learning my disabilities are now a part of me, that they make me who I am now, that they make me unique, make me a part of a special brother and sister hood of warriors. I started attending events, seeking help, talking about my feelings, fears, going to the doctors, and at a WWP event, my AW2 advocate, told me about an organization, homes4woundedheros, and they have just been an amazing life saving organization. The attention, the kindness, the service provided by this amazing org, specifically Mrs. Kelly, was above and beyond. Never being a home owner, and being retired going to school and totally lost in my future, unsure of a career path. Homes4woundedheros has lightened my worry load and has blessed us with a home. A place to start fresh, and move foward. Time to finish school and look for a future for myself. I could go on all day about homes4woundedheros, and words will never express the gratitude I have for them, Mrs. Kelly's call brought me to tears, I damn near fell on the floor when she gave me the news. My heart skipped a beat my knees buckled, and I pinched the heck out of my self to make sure I was awake. From my little family to the great family of homes4woundedheros, we appreciate and love you all. You have provided us with a tremendous unbelievable, opportunity, gift, blessing, a home. A home to watch our kiddos grow, a wall to mark the progress of they're growth. A backyard for birthday parties year after year. A kitchen to teach my kids to cook and have holiday dinners in. A room for my kids to come home to during college breaks in 15 years, the same room they grew up in. Thank you H4WH, you are my families, angels in disguise.
After my husband was injured in Afghanistan in 2010, our world changed. 5 years later, foreclosure (due to his injury/ being so far away from help) we were blessed to stumble upon military warrior support foundation, we found a home where we are from and our family is close by. We applied for it, just hoping/praying. Well today, we got that amazing call that we were awarded this beautiful home. My two kids will grow up in a beautiful home near family and friends and we wont have the stress of not being able to have a home due to foreclosure. We are so excited to be part of this family and so blessed. Thank you again MWSF for all that you do, not just for my family but for all the others you have helped, You are an amazing organization and the staff is so friendly!! Thank you Again!
I am a disabled veteran who has never had the privilege of being a home owner. But thanks to the Military Warrior Support Foundation I am now a proud owner of a beautiful home in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. This was the best gift a person could ever receive, and not only did they give me a free home but they also put me on the Today show with my favorite celebrity Darius Rucker who gave me free tickets to one of his concerts. Words can't express what this means to me and my family, thanks so much to all of the staff at the Military Warriors Support Foundation.
They have been great to us! They have once again allowed us the ability to have stability and a home that no one can come and say we need to leave or anything of that sort. We are blessed to be apart of this organization. Thank you for what you guys have done and do for us and our families. You have given me something that not a lot of my brothers and sisters have...
Friendly staff and everyone seemed to really want to help out.
They all pick and choose which people they wanna help, some get a lot most get nothing. I would say to donate money to a non profit that actually helps a vast amount of wounded veterans and not just a select few. I was told to fill out an application for a house several times and its not exactly easy to do because they want a lot of info. I gave them everything they asked for and I have not heard anything from them at all except once by a friend that works for them saying I needed to reapply. Im a combat wounded purple heart recipient fighting terminal brain cancer so maybe they just don't see the point in helping me.
I would like to thank Military Warriors Support Foundation and Bank of America for awarding me and my family a mortgage free home. That is by far the greatest thing anyone or any group has ever done for us. We have been in our new home in Semmes, AL for right at a month now and we are still blown away that this is actually our home and not one we are renting. I am a Purple Heart recipient of OIF. My duties overseas was a job I did with pride because I was helping secure the freedom of the greatest nation in the world. I was willing to lay down my life and after many close calls and numerous fire fights I knew my life very well be taken but I never thought twice about giving my all nor did I ever have any regrets even after I was wounded by a bomb. It makes me feel great that there are wonderful organizations like MWSF and businesses like Bank of America that would care so much about an ole wounded veteran that you would give my family our dream home in a wonderful community. Thanks a million times over to everyone involved and all outside donors from the bottom of my heart. We will cherish our home, make great memories, and start new family traditions here thanks to all the generous citizens who made this possible. It's for kind Americans like yall that I would have proudly given my life to secure your freedom.
Im very excited and happy to be a part of Military Warriors Support Foundation! I have been awarded a home and I am still in shock. I have done so much for the military and our country and my children have also given so much in my support, that it feels good to know there are organizations out there that truly care. I no longer have to worry about not knowing where to raise my kids and whether or not I have to relocate them AGAIN! I have been given the most wonderful gift and opportunity to start a new life and focus on my rehab from combat injuries. The staff has been friendly and helpful, you truly feel like family. My children and I thank you MWSF!
We are happy to become a part of the family! We received the news yesterday and we are still in shock. MWSF is doing a great thing for veterans. Everyone in the organization that we have spoken to was very nice and helpful. For those of you applying and don't get awarded a home on the first try don't stop trying or lose hope. We applied several times before getting awarded a home. Keep trying!! Thank you to MWSF, this is a life changer for my family and I.
Military Warriors Support Foundation is an amazing life-changing organization. MWSF called us yesterday to tell us that we are receiving a 100% mortgage free home. That is truly amazing and I am still in shock. Thank you so much for everything that you do. MWSF truly cares about veterans and their families. I cannot thank you enough....Thank you thank you thank you :) I cannot put into words how amazing this organization is. I would like to thank Kyle personally, he is truly amazing!!! I still can't believe that they have blessed us with a home! Thank you so much for giving my family a place to call home. We will forever be grateful for this blessing.
The road to recovery for anyone sustaining any type of injury whether physical or mental can be extremely challenging. Add in the added stresses of combat, the service member, has added difficulties. As a soldier, I have chosen to place myself in harm's way to protect the freedoms we so enjoy without expecting anything in return. This organization has given me hope and has brought me joy and happiness and for that I will always be thankful.
I am writing this as a hopeful, praying to be selected applicant. I was deployed 3 times to Iraq, I know, blah, blah, explosions, blah, blah, combat, blah, blah, PTSD. I got it, everyone has a similar story and 90% of the applicants honestly may deserve a house more than I do. What I am writing to say is thank you, thank you for giving hope to this old Soldier after losing a 1 year battle with our mortgage company, which started after finding out that I had a major brain and needed surgery, from some explosion that was causing my brain to swell slowly, 5-6 years after any blast I would have been in and after I had been rated and started my Retirement leave after being Medically Retired for PTSD and a severely messed up foot. Thank you for providing hope to my old Soldiers that have gone to hell and back to protect our Nation and our Brothers and Sisters in Arms. I hold organizations such as this with high regard for the work they do even if they are not able to help everyone all the time.
Again, Thank you so much for even considering my family and I, it is a Honor to write this review.

They gave me my home. I cant wait to move in and start a life for my angel and myself. Best origination I ever had the honor of dealing with after being blown up 3 times in 4 days in Afghanistan.
God bless your organization and to everyone who helps.
Also I dealt with the most professional employees. Blown away by how amazing they are.
