I work with a large number of great charities. I have never seen a harder working staff more willing to above and beyond. Great mission, hard workers. Kudos. Henry Slyker
I have had the privilege of working with MND several times as a funder over the past 12 years. Their outreach, job training, and especially their ability to focus deeply on the needs of each individual client have been impressive. The program has grown in depth every year. Congratulations to MND for all the lives you have changed and promise you bring to the future of so many.
This is a great organization and greatly helped in my job search. I now feel that I have the tools and confidence needed to enter into the job market. I would greatly recommend this organization to any and everyone searching for a job.
I have been a proud supporter for Maryland New Directions for many years. Through the years, MND has proved to be a great resource and member of Baltimore community. From the countless persons I know who have their lives changed by the effort of MND's staff, I have the highest admiration and praise to MND. I would recommend anyone to help MND in anyway they can. This is a great organization that can do great things to the community.

The Employment Training Program at MND was exceptional. I gained new skills and the confidence to secure a good career
I am a graduate of Marland New Directions 2 week employment training program (ETP). They have helped me a lot with improving my resume and cover letter. In week 2 we worked on interviewing and networking skills. They serve a great hot lunch the 1st week and give free interview clothes for both men & women. I highly recommend this program to anyone seeking a new career or a career change. http://www.mdnewdirections.org/
I've worked with MND as a volunteer mock interviewer, and also had the opportunity to observe and speak to an employment readiness class in my capacity as a scholarship provider. Several MND clients have also been finalists for or recipients of scholarships. The dedication of the MND staff and their passion for the work they do is impressive, and it shows in the clients I've had the pleasure to meet or interview. Without fail they're professional, poised, and prepared--in other words, ready for employment (or in my case, career training or other schooling). MND performs a truly vital service, especially in these tough times.
I've spent the last five years of my professional life working at MND. I'm tremendously proud of the organization and its positive strides during that time. From earning the seal of excellence for Maryland Nonprofits, to the BoA Neighborhood Builders Award, to my own achievement with state, national, and international institutions...It's clear that MND is invested not only in its clients' success, but also in the achievement of its staff and board. I'll never forget the fantastic opportunities and great times I'd had through Maryland New Directions.
I am a lifetime client/volunteer. My involvement with MND began in the 70"s and never ended. Whenever I returned to Baltimore or in some type of transition this is the first place I returned too. In previous times I would utilized their services of re-directing, discovery and challenging you to become what you wish to be.However, this last time went even further..doing the discovery process and support of the staff. I decided to attend college at the University of Baltimore MND offer me the opportunity to complete my Internship , which allow me to understand the policies and procedures of a non profit. Also avail me the opportunity to work with clients as a group and on a one-one basis. This type of exposure is invaluable. I was afforded the opportunity to meet other interns and volunteers, develop great relationship with staff and clients. I continue there as a volunteer during the summer and assisted with developing the "Clothing Closet" for clients for there "dress for success". This organization is a force in the Baltimore area and is consistent in developing a clientele that might not have the opportunity to explore their options and make their dreams become a reality. Grace Lee. the ED is always there to encourage and support any good idea that would benefit her staff and clients. MND will always be a place I will return and forever give something back to.
I am so proud to be a part of an extraordinary orginization known as Maryland New Direction's. MND just celibrated its 39th Anniversary and put on a fabulous event at University of Baltimore. The event was excellent and well done in so many ways. The setting, the staff, the clients, the decorations, the food, the program, and the marvelous look-a-likes all combined to create a fantastic event. All of the speakers gave inspiring and moving speaches that showed why Maryland New Directions is so important to individuals going through difficult life transitions. Way to go MND!!!
