Nonprofit Overview

Mission: Love Never Fails International, Inc. (LNFI) is a non-profit organization that exists to glorify God by providing a “hand up, not a hand out” to at-risk and impoverished children. The primary work of Love Never Fails International (LNFI) is after school mentoring programs known as Love Never Fails After-School (LNFAS). These programs allow elementary and middle school children a safe place to spend their afternoon school hours free of cost for their families. Currently, LNFI operates after school programs in three Fort Worth ISD (FWISD) elementary schools and one middle school. LNFAS serves approximately 60 at-risk children at each site. In order to provide students with the most individualized attention possible, they are divided into small groups of 10-12 students for their daily activities. LNF After-School programs operate four days a week; Monday through Thursday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at their elementary school sites; Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 9:00 am and 4:30 to 6:30 pm at their middle school site.

Results: What is the impact of LNF!? Child poverty costs the nation nearly $500 billion every year. We realize that the statistics are daunting, but an investment in our programs is the start of ending the cycle of poverty in America. No matter what our children may be facing, they are the leaders of tomorrow and their potentials are greater than their circumstances. The 2014-2015 was an incredible year, full of BIG changes for all of our programs. We served over 160 children as a first-year Full-Provider for Fort Worth ISD. The following results are calculated based on the number of children who attended the program at least 70% of the year: • Student Attendance for both campuses was 86% this year – which translates to show that of all students served, 141 students came every day! • LNFI Academic Assessment based on our curricula helped improve students’ scores in science, social studies, reading and math by an overall 13.4%! • 125 total teacher involvement hours • 537 total volunteer mentor hours • Nearly 140 students improved in their conduct grades on their final report cards! Most importantly we saw overwhelming changes in our children. We saw students transform into student body presidents, basketball captains and math-a-letes from angry, secluded and broken children. LNF attests that the development of character is the ultimate measure of success of our programs. We use student assessments, mentor and staff reporting, school discipline records and teacher observations to analyze each child’s behavior enhancement. We know that good conduct reduces high-risk behaviors that strengthen the individual, their school, family and community. LNF will always have a strong focus on character building and mentoring, as this is key to fulfilling our mission: Love Never Fails International exists to glorify God by providing “a hand up, not a hand out” to at-risk and impoverished children through positive, caring relationships and educational support.

Target demographics: At-risk and impoverished children, ages 8 - 16.

I served as community service coordinator for a college organization in the spring semester, 2011, and wanted to expand our project base. I came across Love Never Fails International, who already has deep connections with student volunteers at TCU. The Executive Director took time to speak with us personally about the mission of the organization, and we processed paperwork to get through. It was all worth it as soon as we made it to the elementary school for the first time! The students, LNFI staff and policies/programs are outstanding. Volunteers from my organization continued to go of their own accord after the semester ended. I can't say enough about what a blessing this dedicated organization is to the children of Fort Worth and its volunteer base!

This was my first year to mentor at Love Never Fails International. The connection between child and mentor gives us the ability to address the individual needs of the child.

After watching these youth it is evident that Love Never Fails does just that--shows love to each student. A trust develops and as a result, the children have the opportunity to resolve issues personal to them including reading skills, discipline to do homework, interaction and respect for others, expressing themselves.

We have volunteered with Love Never Fails International for the past three (3) years. We have seen significant improvement in academic skills such as reading ability and comprehension as well as social interaction.

One of the most rewarding experiences for us is being greeted by name when they come into the class room and at dissmissial time we are thanked verbaly and usually also with a hug.

We enjoy the the time we get to meet and socialize with the famlies. They in turn tell us of the positive changes in their children that they attribute to the Love Never Fails program.

We have been very impressed with the dedicartion of the Love Never Fails staff. They have a very positive and caring attitude toward the children and the mentors.

Love Never Fails is an organization devoted to giving underprivileged children the extra boost they need in order to be successful. I have volunteered with them multiple times and I've witnessed the changes in the children who come every week. It's such a breath of fresh air to see an organization work so hard and so selflessly in order to ensure a brighter future for students such as these. I volunteer at T. A. Sims elementary school, and in my experience, the children not only love the program, they are also exposed to many teachings that they wouldn't normally have in the schools they are in. Lessons are in friendship, leadership, and other topics that will allow them to greater succeed in later life. I personally believe that this organization is very successful and touches the lives of all who take part in it, students and volunteers alike.

I have watched Love Never Fails grow from a single after school programs to multiple programs and schools. I have seen the kids grow through love and care and change their school and life behaviors. These kids deserve a chance and LNF gives that to them.
