I have worked with Sunnie and the wonderful Life Group LA staff for the past couple of years. I have seen them touch the lives of hundreds of people living with HIV/AIDS, and their impact cannot be underestimated. The weekend seminars offer education, support, and an amazing environment. I have seen these events enrich the lives of the newly diganosed, and those who have been living positive for years. I would recomend The Life Group LA for those living with HIV/AIDS, those looking to volunteer for an amazing organization, and also for those looking to see their donation dollars go far. I highyl recomend all aspects of The Life Group LA!

I have been involved with The Life Group for over four years now. The weekend seminars are amazing, insightful and thought provoking! They cover such a huge amount of information: Holistic approaches to living with HIV, Insurance and Public Benefits, Disclosure, Art Therapy, Yoga, just to name a few. The guest speakers are awesome and five you so much information. I found this weekend life changing and would suggest everyone to attend that is infected or affected with HIV.
This is an organization with more heart and passion than I have ever been involved with and has changed my life for the better.

I have worked with The Life Group since its inception in 2005 when Sunnie Rose Berger put it together to take over the work of L.A. Shanti after it unfortunately closed its doors. The organization provides education and support to those infected or affected by HIV in the form of weekend seminars and ongoing peer support groups.

People who have attended the weekend seminars have reported them as being transformational to their lives. The weekend combines information and emotional support, bringing people out of their HIV closet and into contact with a larger community of compassionate people. My fellow volunteers are deeply invested in the health and happiness of our client group and give of their time and ample abilities freely to make this important work happen.

I have often said in the past that no amount of pay compensate me for the work I do with the Life Group; but I will gladly do it for free. This work makes my own life better and brings people into my life who make me happier, stronger, and more fulfilled.

No words at my disposal can communicate how important the work of this organization is nor how well they carry it out. They are more than worthy of any and all support that can be offered.

I have been working in HIV since 1986. I have had the pleasure of working with The Life Group L A for the past 5 years.

The weekend seminars produced by The Life Group are in my opinion the best resource for HIV patient education in the county of Los Angeles.

If you are interested in providing financial, volunteer, or in-kind support to an organization that profoundly impacts the lives of people living with HIV - The Life Group LA is an outstanding choice. You can be confident that your gift will be put to great use.

It is also important to understand that this organization is very small mostly everyone involved is VOLUNTEERING their time, because they believe in the importance of this work.

The Executive Director's leadership is passionate and trustworthy.

Please do what you can to support this worthwhile and successful organization. You will be glad you did.

I never have seen a person work so hard and sruggle so much to keep an organization alive as Sunny Berger has. This organization has helped so many people infected and affected with the HIV virus. I have witness the emotional breakthroughs so many times, and have been brought to tears by the break throughs I have seen. This organization is needed, and there is never a cost to the client. EVER.

I have had the great pleasure of volunteering for The Life Group LA for the past 6 years. I have volunteered on a few different levels for this organization.

The work The Life Group LA does is life changing. I have seen participants show up at the beginning of a POZ Weekend Seminar acting/feeling one way and when they finish the seminar there is an amazing change, a magical transformation. The Life Group LA provides a safe space for participants to learn, to feel supported, to talk, to share, to get great information on making more informed life choices.

The Life Group LA is one of the few organizations that I know of that provides services for people who are infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. That is one of the great aspects of their services. A mother, a partner, a nephew, a caregiver can also participate in the POZ Weekend Seminar and also receive the same great services as their loved one who is infected by HIV/AIDS.

I can go on and on but I am not going to write a novel right now.

If you are someone who is infected or affected by HIV/AIDS and want support, want more information, want to share your story...then consider contacthing The Life Group LA.

I have supported TLGLA for many years as both a professional and an individual. In a world full of opportunites to give, TLGLA stands alone in that it truly empowers through education. TLGLA not only focuses on the affected, it also trains the effected.

I came to The Life Group LA in a very broken state emotionally. Through their love, support, and educational information I have been able to successfully become more active in my role as a patient and client with other AIDS service agencies and doctors and a better advocate for my own well-being. They deserve an award for what they have done for me and I'm sure countless others.
