What an impressive organization! Between the events, opportunities, programming and marketing, I am constantly amazed at what they are able to accomplish. Great work!
JOY for our Youth, to me, is exceptional on two levels. First of all, the sheer amount of projects that they undertake is impressive. I only know of a few of them as I have friends who are volunteers for them, but they include supplying inner-city youth with their basic school supplies at a time of year that other kids are happily purchasing them. This is a lifesaver and a face saver for these kids! They take kids into summer camp and provide programs throughout the year. But I'm more impressed with the way they built their organization from a fiscal perspective: They run about as good as any high level mid sized for profit business, but use their earnings to sustain their core charitable activities. With the abundance of non-profits all clamoring for the same donation base, it is refreshing to see an organization that looks to earn profits from a sustainable business model, keep overhead extremely low, and minimize their dependence on donations to a very quantifiable and achievable goal.
I have seen personally the extent this organization is willing to go for even one child's welfare. The care they show replenishes my hope for humanity.
Excellent follow through with customer service and going the extra mile to make their customers happy.
As an educator, I see the difference support and resources can make in a child's life. This organization does make a difference one child at a time.
This is an organization that understands the key role that mentoring plays in countering the difficulties kids meet growing up. Kids are one of the most vulnerable sectors and it's our duty to protect them and offer them the safest, most nurturing environment possible. That is what this organization does: it offers warmth and support to kids at risk. I've seen the results.
Donated my old car to Them. I'm glad I was Able To Help THIS Cause As Children's Education Is Something I Try To support. Kars4kids also was very accommodating and helpful with working around my schedule and arranged a weekend pickup. Highly recommend!

I've donated to Kars4Kids a few times already, and the experience has been wonderful! They sent the receipt quickly, and their staff was courteous and professional. Best of all was knowing how they really help children, and being a part of such a great mission.

I have volunteered at several events and was extremely impressed by the blend of professionalism and warmth of the organization. I found it very heartwarming to watch the interaction between the mentors and kids and how the mentor would encourage the reluctant teens to join the activities and succeeded.
I volunteered at on of their coat giveaways in Newark. It was so nice to see the happy faces og children receiving backpacks, school supplies and of course a balloon!
I've been donating to this charity for a few years without really knowing what they did. Just this past summer, I met some families impacted by their programs and my mind is blown! I am awed by their comprehensive family programs, and the personal touch in all that they do. I wish I would have known all these years! Keep up the great work, and you should continue being successful.
The work and efforts of this charity and the people involved go above and beyond the scope people realize or see! The work effects everyone like a chain reaction of good for everyone. Anyone who has seen or been involved with this charity becomes a better person for it, while the scope of the variety of things they are able to accomplish are incredible and continue to grow. It gives me great pleasure to help them whenever I can and I love to hear about all the good things they are doing &/or trying to do!
my son has been mentoring a boy(now a young adult) with this program for the past 7 years. seeing the impact my son has been having on this boy has made me really proud and i'm thankful for kars4kids for giving him that opportunity. As an Accountant with many years of audit experience , i find their organizational model and program expertise quite impressive.
These guys are truly amazing. I seen first hand how they have taken kids and changed their life for the better .
Anyone who has an extra car should donate to them .
I've volunteered at Oorah/ JOY for our Youth for almost 10 years now. They are a great professionally run organization. They're work is important and rewarding! Their dedication to their 'clients'/familes is one that remains for as long as neccesary to ensure the best possible outcome. The results speak for itself and I am proud to be a part of their vital work
I've donated to this organization and I've seen their work up close, dealing with children who they've helped and their families.
The dedication of the staff is incredible, and their commitment to enable children to "be all that they can be" is not just lip service -- it's brought to life by the JOY/Kars4Kids team.
Cars headed for trash have been used to turn around lives that would have otherwise been headed for the dustheap.
