There are so many organizations doing good work, it's hard to know where to invest. I've worked with Nonprofits all over the world, and I can say with confidence that this is an organization worth investing in. Being on the ground in Kenya helped me see for myself the impact that one person can have by getting involved with Just One Africa.
I'd encourage anyone to go ahead and get involved, and watch what happens when you choose to be a part of this. You'll be glad you did!
This is the first time our school has been involved with Just One Africa. Our students meet with Amy Churchill to bead bracelets which help provide clean water to Kenya, Africa. Amy’s presentation teaches the students about the world, and how they can make a difference. They get a chance to see what they take for granted, and how to help others.
We love Amy, Clay and their family. They do so much for others and shine a light everywhere that they go. This organization is such a great experience for everyone involved. It helps to know that beading one bracelet can help a whole village in Kenya get clean water. We also had a chance to write letters and make friendship bracelets for the kids in Kenya.
May God continue to bless The Churchill’s and their organization, Just One Africa!
Last summer I spent 10 weeks interning with JOA at Lenkai Christian School, serving as an academic tutor and mentor and helping with water filter distributions and sanitation education throughout Kimana and Kajiado County. I cannot express enough the amazing experience I had, and I am so thankful for the opportunity to serve among these incredible people. I would repeat last summer in a heartbeat, and I highly recommend that others take this same opportunity that I had if they are passionate about providing clean water to all people and protecting/advocating for orphans and vulnerable children.
For the past 13 years I have been involved in the non-profit world and during that time I have seen many good ones, and some not so good. I have been fortunate to find a really great organization in Just One Africa. With my experience of developing, maintaining, and growing non-profits, Just One Africa is right at the top of the list in providing multiple services and support to areas in Kenya, with only 1 paid staff member and many volunteers. It is remarkable at how much Just One Africa is able to accomplish with their funds. In an analysis of their budget, I have found that over 90% of their money and volunteer efforts go directly to programs and services to build better lives for those in Kenya.
I love this club it is such a great experience. It helps to know that beading one braclet can help a whole village in Kenya get clean water. I have been in this club for two years( currently in 7th grade). Last year was so fun because we got to send pen pals to other kids in Kenya and they wrote back. This club is a great experience, it is a little step to start helping the world.
I have worked alongside Just One Africa, as a teacher club sponsor at South Forsyth Middle School for three years. JOA has grown tremendously in the last three years reaching more and more people both in Kenya and here in the states. Educating young and old about Clean Water, and various Sustainability Programs in Kenya has brought the global issues into our classroom. Students here at SFMS play a small part in Just One Africa's mission allowing them the experience of being a "World Changer" through beading bracelets , letter writing, collecting supplies, and speaking. Our students are Making A Difference One Life At A Time!
Thank you Just One Africa for allowing us to walk alongside you in your mission- Ingrid Burnell
I have known Clay and Amy since they were in grade school where I was their principal!
Finally got to join them on a trip to Kenya this June and see what the impact they are having.
Wow! It is amazing to see what a couple can do when they see the need and determine they can make a difference. One well at a school and orphanage changed so much for that community. They now have their own water, can sell water to the community and can irrigate their crops and grow 4 crops each year when normally only one crop is grown during the rainy season. They also provide all the vegetables for their orphanage and crops to sell in the market to fund their school.
The water filters given to families are having a tremendous impact on health and even saving lives. I have seen the water sources these communities have and clean water is a huge step forward for them.
What a privilege to partner with this effort and know how much they are accomplishing with the funds that are donated.
Last year, I began volunteering with Just One and it has been a truly amazing experience. I've been able to make a difference in the lives of people in Africa, as well as my own community. They are super easy and fun to work with as I'm able to bring items home and also attend events to support this wonderful philanthropy. In addition, this organization encourages children to volunteer and it has also been an enriching experience for my daughter. Visit their website and become involved in making lives better!!!
This summer I had the pleasure of interning with this amazing non-profit, and wow what a humbling and awesome experience it was. This team works straight from the heart and with loads of passion for making the world a better place! Working with this wonderful team will restore your faith in humanity and make you feel like you are making a difference! I love this amazing non-profit, everything they stand for, and the excellent work they do in the lives of others! Definitely, definitely recommend!!
Just One Africa, Inc. changed the way our students thought about the world in general and more specifically overall. The presentation delivered by Amy and Clay Churchill provided a window into what was happening outside of Atlanta, GA. It also had us questioning the things we took for granted, such as clean water, education and electricity.
Writing letters to the orphans also made us question what was important and humane. This Impact Project caused many students to weep, question out loud and thank God for all the things he had given them, but also wonder what could they do to make a difference.
May God continue to bless the Churchill’s and Just One Africa, Inc.
You truly make a difference and we need you to survive.
This is a GREAT nonprofit that has done an incredible amount of good in the world, especially in light of their relatively small size. The people who lead Just One Africa are passionate, dedicated, and smart. They use resources effectively and are careful to make sure their impact is sustainable. When I give to them, I'm confident that my money will be used to improve peoples' lives in Kenya and empower local communities.
These guys are truly amazing! They give of their time, talents and resources. They are also very diligent to make sure all funds are used to their maximum potential. highly recommend!
We are so thankful for the opportunity to serve with Just One Africa. It's a great ministry for where kids and parents can serve together and it has led to many great discussions with our girls. We love that Just One Africa makes it so easy to help and clearly shows how our time or monetary donations are helping. We have bought many bracelets and have told tons of friends and family about them as well.
Just One Africa is an amazing organization run by the most fantastic family I've had the privilege of knowing. Hard working, honest, caring, effective and just totally incredible people helping those less fortunate have a better life. They are educators and take time to teach people how to thrive and do better. I can't tell you how thrilled I am to be a part (even though it's tiny) of this fine organization. If you want to make a real difference in this world, and do things that change people's lives for the better, this is a charity you want to get involved with. The Churchills are doing work that makes the world a much better place. I am proud to know them.
I was introduced to Just One Africa by chance. The founders, their families, the other volunteers, and the donors are the most amazing people to work with. Their huge hearts are evident in every project that they roll out. I am constantly amazed at their selflessness! We all need to dig deeper and be more like them. This would, truly, make our world a better place. I sincerely feel honored and privileged to be able to work alongside them.
It has been such a privilege to get to know Just One Africa and be a part of this great organization. The founders, their families, friends, and donors have big hearts to help people in Kenya and influence their lives in the ways that give positive impacts. I like the fact that it is fairly easy to get involved, despite of your age, current life stage, background, etc. Their bracelets are so beautiful and I think they are perfect gifts that are meaningful and have the great cause.
I was introduced to this amazing charity by 2 former students who loved helping people and wanted to help get clean water to the children that they met on a mission trip. Every aspect of what they do is what I look for in a nonprofit that I want to support and that I feel passionate about. The Kenyan women who make the beads that we string, are providing for the futures of the families. The students that string them, learn compassion for others and how to impact the world in a tangible way. 100% of the profit goes directly to providing clean water, thus preventing disease. Truely profound and transformational for all!
What a wonderful organization! Just One Africa makes a huge difference in the world helping to provide clean water and water education to places desperately needing it. In addition, they reach out to the schools in my area to provide student awareness of water quality and the importance of giving to help others.
Just One Africa is an awesome organization that does great work. I know their founder, Clay Churchill personally and can say without a doubt that his passion and enthusiasm are contagious. I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to donate and contribute to their efforts and know that the donations go towards helping those in need.
The work of Just One Africa is inspiring and I truly am thankful to have an opportunity to give to this amazing organization in support of their efforts to bring clean water to the people of Kenya.
A truly amazing ministry! The stories and pictures of the Just One Africa team with the natives in Kenya tell it all. We can't wait to see how God continues to bless this organization.
