The Irving Schools Foundation hosted an extraordinary and fantastic event for the young scholars. When I stepped foot into the building, I felt like a celebrity. It felt as though I was someone of importance and that really made me jump for joy. At many times, aspring students are not recognized for their hard work. ISF changed that and made all of its scholars feel special and welcome. Overall, it was a great and fun experience that I will remember for years to come.
Irving Schools Foundation provided a grant for 8th grade National Junior Honor Society members to attend the musical Wicked in Dallas. Most of our kiddos had never been to see a musical and they were amazed by the talent level and the storytelling. Each ticket had a price listed at $90. For our kids, this is something they could never afford to do, but with the help of the Irving Schools Foundation, they got to experience this magical performance. The whole next week, we had kids singing the songs from the play. This foundation is amazing!
The small staff, hundreds of volunteers and thousands of donors to the Irving Schools Foundation work together to better the lives of students and teachers of the Irving School District. The students through providing financial assistance in pursuit of higher education and teachers through encouraging them to seek additional training and develop new methods of instruction. The ISF is a longtime effort to better the Irving Community.
Education is so important to change the future of our kids and the Irving School Foundation sole mission is to help no just the students but the teachers and programs as well as the families of the kids in Irving.
I am proud to be part of the board with a great team of people willing to give their time for this great cause.
Education is the foundation for success. The Irving Schools Foundation is the largest in Texas and although it was founded 30 years ago, most of its growth has come in the last 4 years under Crystal's leadership and the commitment of her team and the board of directors. The Irving Schools Foundation has changed the lives of students that would not have had educational opportunities had not been for ISF and the involvement of business community that made it happen. The best part is that those students are now coming back as professionals to get involved and help current students. This way, the Irving Schools Foundation is preparing students for the future and providing the business community with an educated workforce.
The Irving Schools Foundation (ISF) exists to serve and help the students and teachers of the Irving Independent School District. This is a responsibility that the ISF takes very seriously and can easily be seen in the dedication, time and effort that the ISF donors, ISF Volunteers, ISF Staff, ISF Board and ISF officers gladly give. Now is the time to take care and protect our children! Thanks ISF!
I have had the privilege of seeing first hand for over 30 years what the Irving Schools Foundation has meant to the students of our school district. I currently serve not only as a Board Member of the Irving Schools Foundation, but as a Trustee on the Irving ISD School Board. The ISF makes it possible for many of our students, who otherwise would not have the opportunity, to attend college. This foundation shares a common goal with our district which affords every one of our students to achieve at their highest level.
The Irving Schools Foundation is without a doubt, deserving of each and every honor they receive.
The Irving Schools Foundation provides so many opportunities to students and teachers. Through the board's leadership, this organization has grown into a world-class foundation. I am humbled every day by the support and generosity that ISF receives from the community of Irving. It truly takes an (Irving) village to change the lives of our children.
The Irving Schools Foundation sole mission is to serve the students and teachers of Irving Independent School District. Hundreds of thousands of dollars are raised and granted each year through the foundation. The Executive Director is a dynamic, creative leader with a passion for the mission. The Board's focus is on creating an environment in which every child has the opportunity to learn to their fullest potential as they grow towards their role as our country's future leaders. A great big thank you to all of the donors for your time, talent and resources offered through the foundation in support of Irving ISD.
Kids are the future of our humanity. The most important investment for a better world is to take care of our little ones TODAY.
My name is Lynn and I am a product of Irving ISD, as well as my husband and daughters. Irving Schools foundation has provided scholarships for both of my daughters. ISF has been a great financial help to so many Irving ISD students. I have also received a grant to attend the TESA Conferences to further my knowledge and skills at my job. I am a new Board Member and I have witnessed ISF Board Members helping with events and raising additional money to help the students and staff of Irving ISD. I have worked for Irving ISD for 26 years and have seen the foundation grow. I can see from the inside out what a difference ISF can make.
I own a leadership development company. I sit on the Irving Schools Foundation board and I am a member of the programs committee. To say the Irving Schools Foundation changes lives is not hyperbole. For example, under Crystal's leadership, the Irving Schools Foundation has created a miniature shark tank type experience for granting money. The kids and teachers put their presentation together and the parents join them with camera's in tow. I have yet to leave one of our sessions without experiencing tears of joy as I watch the children and their parents celebrate the pride and joy of receiving a grant from the Irving Schools Foundation. The Kids are learning to frame their request and present it in a way that demonstrates they will be good stewards. I do not know of another nonprofit with this type of commitment to finding creative ways to impact the lives of children.
The Irving Schools Foundation is a more-than-well-oiled-machine with an excellent leader and a devoted team. The mission is clear and is evidenced in every way. This nonprofit breeds energy and excitement and is highly regarded and respected by the children of Irving ISD, the teachers, staff, administrators and the community! The ISF makes service FUN!
The Irving School Foundation is all about helping the Irving students through scholarships and by supporting projects that encourage innovation and learning. They listened to the appeal from the Irving Library partnering with Irving Schools to promote The Big Read 2016 by supplying books for seniors. Their support is immeasurable.
Schools in general need as much community help as possible in order for our teachers and students to thrive. The Irving Schools Foundation is not only one of the biggest foundations in Texas but also a huge part of making Irving Schools a success. Teachers and students alike have benefited from massive community involvement and community funding to support programs and needs that are not met by the State of Texas funding. We have amazing kids doing amazing things, and with the support of the Irving Schools Foundation, financial burdens are highly minimized. Dream big!!
Irving Schools Foundation helps our community accomplish many goals that we might not otherwise even dream of pursuing for lack of money. The foundation is generous but through as they determine the best manner to distribute funds back to our students and teachers. Their impact on the success of our students cannot be overstated. Thank you ISD for all you do!
The Irving School Foundation is an outstanding NonProfit. It provides students with financial means to further their education and make dreams come true. Also, not only assisting students of the district, they also provide teachers with extra funds.
I have been a PTA president and Booster Club president at several Irving ISD schools for many years. I also serve on the community board at my corporation where we partner with Irving ISD and the Irving Schools Foundation. In addition, my son received a scholarship this year through the Irving Schools Foundation. In all of my experiences, the Irving Schools Foundation has been stellar in every area. Their focus remains on the students and teachers as they are able to provide thousands of scholarship dollars, and growing every year. Their banquet recognizing the students and teachers is always top notch and provides a truly memorable experience. As a parent, the process to claim the scholarship money was also smooth, easy and prompt - extremely important during the stressful time of setting up a student at college.
Irving School Foundation began over 30 years ago and exists to maximize educational opportunities for our students. Since its inception, Irving School Foundation has given away over 4,000,000 in scholarships to our young people. The foundation gave 138 scholarships to our students and staff amounting to over $250,000 at Breakfast With The Star in April, 2016.
I have been a board member the last three years and currently serve as president. Our executive director Crystal Scanio and our staff, and board are always looking for more ways that our community can help our students in Irving ISD. In addition to aiding our students, we also help our teachers and staff. We underwrite Educational Enrichment grants for our teachers and staff by paying their registration to workshops. In addition, we have Shark Tank once a month for teachers and students to share ideas that they want to try to maximize learning. We continue to need support from our community to help our deserving young people. It is truly a joy to serve our district as an additional resource.
For over twenty-five years the Irving Schools Foundation has partnered with the Irving Independent School District to provide exceptional educational experiences and opportunities for the students and teachers of this community.
Irving ISD Foundation is a great non profit organization that has assisted many students during their time at IISD and after graduation.
Simply stated, this Foundation exists to support and help a needy student population. Its focus has adapted in its years of existence as city demographics and needs have changed. Kudos to the ISF for not only remaining relevant, but being proactive in addressing all the wonderful schools and children in the Irving Independent School District!
Not only does ISF provide scholarships to students, it provides grants for worthy projects such as providing each senior with a copy of the book that the community will be reading this fall for the NEA-sponsored Big Read.
My company became a partner with the Irving Schools Foundation in 2015! Quickly the executive director connected us with a school to adopt and provided a variety of ways we could impact the students of Irving ISD. I now serve on the executive board of the Irving Schools Foundation - and continue to expand my involvement and the partnership on behalf of my company. The took our partnership to new heights and are extremely grateful for all we have done. This is a partnership I'd love to have with all the organizations that we serve.
Irving Schools Foundation is a great organization to help the kids of Irving be successful in their learning, so they can be the future leaders we need in America! The foundation helps the kids and teachers achieve their dreams and makes the impossible, possible for them. I am proud to be a member of such a great organization!
I have been a booster member for the last 3 years at a Irving HS and have seen Irving Schools Foundation give our kids scholarships to help with college. Great to see how this organization has help so many students with books & college expenses.
I can not say enough good things about the Irving Schools Foundation! I was a recipient of the Stipes Booster Club Scholarship in 2000. Being involved in athletics in the Irving school system for 6 years (as well as attending K-12 in Irving) and knowing how much the Booster Club did for us made me want to apply. Margie Stipes was one of our biggest cheerleaders at that time during track meets! The Irving Schools Foundation made it possible for the Stipes family to facilitate this scholarship flawlessly and it helped me with books through 4 years of college at Southern Methodist University. I look forward to reaching out to the Irving Schools Foundation to see how I can help them going forward in their mission!
The Irving School Foundation has done a wonderful job in recognizing students for their hard work. With their superb fundraising efforts, those students have been numerous. A friend has been asked to start a school foundation in his town. It was recommended to him to contact ISF for any guidance or recommendations.
They are always ready to help teachers with any special supplies or projects
It is amazing the work that they do for the kids of IISD
The Irving Schools Foundation is an exceptional nonprofit organization, that helps graduating seniors in Irving ISD gain a leg up on a journey to college. They provide scholarships that not only will help the student but also giving the student a reason to pursue further education. Essentially saying "hey, you don't want to waste free money, take this and start a better life for yourself, you earned it". Although the scholarships are far from free, meaning there is a lot of work you must put in to receive one, yet it is well worth it. I truly have been blessed by being able to call myself a recipient of one of these inspirational scholarships: Joy and Ralph Ellis Scholarship for Athletes. I never thought in a million years I'd receive any type of financial help, pertaining to college. Thanks to ISF, I did. I am a truly grateful and will definitely not waste this "free money".
Thank You ISF.
Not only is this Foundation serving our children through scholarships, but they support them while they are in school with assistance by funding the needs of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) program. This gives our students who for whatever reason do not attend college an opportunity to learn a trade and earn a substantially higher income right out of high school. A great example, a Computer Maintenance job starts @ $49,391. In my opinion, they are covering many bases and therefore serving all of our children.
7 of my grandchildren have attended Irving Schools as did all 6 of my children. The ability to
provide financial backing for those expenditures which cannot be made with tax dollars creates opportunities for teachers and students that would otherwise not be possible. As a board member I am continuously pleased with the progress the foundation is making in the number of scholarships given, the connection with the community it serves, and the quality of our staff whose dedication is inspiring.
ISF is a great organization that provides so many scholarships for students and teachers! They host a number of events during the school year to raise funds, provide donations, and support Irving ISD. I feel so fortunate to have benefited from the program and now to serve on the Board.
I was a junior in High School when I got a dream chance of a lifetime to attend a month long course being taught by Broadway theater professionals in New York City. I had worked hard to raise half the money I needed. I was blessed to have a teacher who realized what a great opportunity was before me, and she suggested I request a grant from the Irving Schools Foundation. I created a presentation letting ISF know what I wanted to do, and what I needed to get there. They saw merit in my opportunity and funded the remainder of my theater program in NYC! It was an incredible opportunity. The following year, I applied to and was accepted to the same school and was awarded a ISF Memorial scholarship. Getting to go to my dream school so inspiring to me, and having ISF support me in my educational pursuits has made a big difference and enabled me to be able to go to school at a premier college in New York City. Thank you Irving Schools Foundation.
The Irving Schools Foundation is a great way to great involved in the community. People have the ability to network with others who bring something different to the table and truly want to help the students of Irving grow and succeed. From hosting varies events to giving out scholarships, the Irving Schools Foundation does it all!
The Irving Schools Foundation gave me a scholarship that is helping relieve some of my financial burden each semester in college, and I am very grateful of them for that. So many students and teachers benefit from the foundation every year and they make a great impact on the community in Irving. They are a great organization and Irving ISD is very fortunate to have their support, financially and otherwise.
The Irving Schools Foundation is a great way for students to be recognized and earn many scholarships! It personally helped me to get connected to many scholarship providers and of course also helped me to further my education! The entire process was easy and convenient and at the end, the scholarship ceremony was also fun!
I can't be thankful enough with Irving School Foundation support. At first it seemed impossible for me to achieve my goals, but ISF helped me one step to reach my goals. Thank you to all of ISF staff, sponsors, board members, etc.
As a scholarship recipient this was a great opportunity for me to not only receive funding towards my education, but also served as a chance for me to meet many great people who serve my community and essentially broaden my network.
The application process is lengthy, however the site was very simple to navigate and through the application I could tell that the scholarship reviewers were really trying to get to know me; every question had a purpose.
Through the Irving Schools Foundation I received a generous scholarship and a guest and I were invited to attend the annual, "Breakfast with the Stars," in which all the scholarship recipients and guests enjoyed a breakfast and beautiful ceremony free of charge.
There was always someone I could talk to if I ever had a question and this organization always kept me updated with the next step. Overall I have had a great experience with this organization and hope to one day give back to my community and help young adults achieve their dreams of going to college. Thank you ISF!

The Irving Schools Foundation gave out almost $250,000 in scholarships to Irving schools seniors. Some of which would not be able to attend college without the help of this money.
ISF also has a "Shark Tank" program where they give money to help the students in different areas of their education. From Guitars for music programs, materials to build an outdoor learning center at an early childhood education center, materials for elementary students to read more with their parents by hosting a reading café, high school students funding to attend the Questbridge prep scholars conference where 2 of our students from 2015 were matched with Ivy league colleges that they are now attending, and the list goes on.
