ICNA Relief made it possible for my goal of assisting Syrian refugee families a reality. Through their interfaith tutoring opportunities, my husband and I are working with middle and high school students who are new English speakers and just learning to navigate the American school system. I get to bring my years of experience as an English teacher and ELL Coordinator to help these families. ICNA relief also made it possible for two coworkers of mine to tutor; for my friend who is throwing a birthday party for her daughter to use ICNA Relief's registry to gift to Syrian children; for my friend who runs a NYC Tour agency to launch a project wherein she will acclimate Syrian families to NYC. In short, ICNA Relief builds bridges! I would like to especially thank Umber Siddiqi and Leila Elfane for their tireless efforts on behalf of refugee families. They are angels!
They came in and gave backpacks to needy families in Anahiem. I am appreciative. They also promoted other programs that are free to struggling families.
Everyday people walk into my mosque with a need for services that we simply cannot provide them. Our building functions as a house of worship and a place for people to gather, but sometimes people come with a need for access to healthcare, mental health services, or financial assistance. We ended up partnering with ICNA Relief because they offer all of those services to those in need. We felt comfort knowing that people coming to our place of worship for help have professional assistance waiting for them closeby.
I ended up very recently being hired by ICNA Relief and I have experienced tremendous joy helping our needy neighbors. I was also elated to discover that ICNA Relief is even more professional than it seems, serving over 20 states across the country in a coordinated and cohesive fashion.
We are all very blessed that GOD chooses us to serve His creation.
Our forefathers have done an amazing job building Islamic centers and islamic schools they left a great legacy in this beautiful & blessed country of ours.
Now it's our turn to make them proud and create a legacy for our children so they can be Proud Americans.
ICNA Relief USA is a Muslim social service organization working exclusively within the United States of America with the mission to serve the creation to please THE Creator
What ever we do we have to do as a calling, as a passion we have to throw our head, heart, and definitely hands into it to make it successful. That's what I saw in this staff and volunteers.
Empower others I felt that's goal.
Greatness doesn't comes from a position but from helping build the future. We have an obligation to pull others UP. I saw they take this responsibility as an honor and accepting the challenge and obligation to actually make it possible for our next generation to come and achieve the level of greatness so they can be on the right path in future.
I had heard many good things about ICNA Relief prior to volunteering but only after getting involved myself did I begin to appreciate just how great the organization is. The passion each member has for serving their community is simply inspiring.
Through constant outreach and engagement, ICNA Relief is able to effectively balance serving individuals and families in the local community in a dynamic and holistic manner. The organization leaders are exceptional role models and lead by example, never shying away from working hands-on or sitting down to listen to a community member. Listening is one of the organization's greatest strengths. It is very apparent that the organization uses the input it receives from the local community to navigate how to better serve its needs.
Even with all of the work being done, the organization still makes time to gather members together when possible to connect with each other. It is a family and that is what binds it and makes it exceptional at understanding and serving its community.
From feeding the homeless, empowering women in the transitional home, to providing food boxes to the refugees in our food pantry, to aiding patients in the free Shifa Clinic, to donating cars to the needy, to finding a job for someone in need--- who you gunna call? ICNA Relief
I'm truly amazed at what all ICNA Relief does but even more as to what all this humble, hardworking team does on a daily basis. I'm blessed to be a part of this selfless, devoted, and transparent company, that I call my second family. :)
I have provided many services, food and health for everyone who needs it, regardless of your identity, and also helped those looking for jobs. I hope that this organization will continue and I would like to thank all those who contribute to the Foundation's journey from the Director to the volunteers.
ICNA Relief is an unparalleled relief organization in the United States providing a wide variety of social services.
ICNA Relief USA is an extra ordinary example of unity, compassion, community empowerment and serving humanity beyond the boundaries of religion, race and ethnicity. The staff is supportive, tender hearted, helpful and selfless. They are feeding hundreds of thousands hungry people across the country, providing shelter to hundreds of homeless women who have no one to take care of, helping refugees to get back on their feet, providing hot food on streets across America, help rebuild homes of disaster survivors and providing healthcare facilities to people who can't afford to have expensive insurances. I will volunteer and donate for rest of my life.
These are some great quotes that we should all live by as human beings:
Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?
The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.
My main reason to move back to Orlando was to help others. With many great organizations out there helping people, ICNA RELIEF was the one that stood out for me. ICNA Relief USA staff, volunteer's and anyone that is associated with them is compassionate, selfless individuals who go above and beyond to fulfill their mission. I am proud and honored to work with this organization who serves communities throughout the USA. Their services and programs touch the lives of some of the neediest among us; truly saving lives and creating extraordinary communities wherever they serve. There is a phase that we use on a daily basis. It goes like this; YOU CAN TALK THE TALK, BUT CAN YOU WALK THE WAK. Please come out and walk the walk with ICNA Relief's cause to help and serve the people! ICNA Relief doesn't need you, the people need you.....
I have been volunteering with ICNA Relief for 2 years. It's a great non profit organization helping Refugees and people in need with housing, counseling, providing foods, rides to and from the grocery store, library, doctors visit and more. It brings a lots of pleasure working with people in need.

Excellent nonprofit relief organization in the country without a doubt. During sandy hurricane they were the first responder in the community.
I have been volunteering for ICNA Relief, USA since two years. ICNA Relief helps people with every requirement of life; from providing furniture, kitchen items, and food inside the house to cars outside the house. This organization supports refugees from scratch until they are self sufficient.
I am doing as volunteer with icna relief USA since 3 years in different ways as per my available time. But I want to do more.
It's really a great nonprofit organization and thousands of needy people get benefits.
I've volunteered for ICNA Relief for over 2 years now. I've been involved in the the food pantry, homeless feeding, mobile clinic, and back to school campaigns. No one is turned away due to background, ethnicity, or religion. Hearing recipients thanking the volunteers profusely is very rewarding, to say the least. A big deal of that gratitude goes to the donors, for enabling such services to be given, through their generosity. Then the other part goes to the few staff members and big number volunteers, who work tirelessly to ensure people get the help they needed while maintaining their dignity. I'm grateful for the opportunity to serve.
Seeing the ICNA Relief staff and volunteers giving their all inspires me to work harder. The compassion of our Refugee Volunteer Services shines through even on the weekends. I have seen volunteers and staff dedicate even their weekends to mentor, advocate and teach refugees as if they are their own family members.
I cannot compare it to any other nonprofit that focuses more on other priorities - events donors, or gaining popularity rather than making the client their sole focus. Having a balance between marketing and meeting a client's goal is ultimate proof to the success of a nonprofit. I can see the sincere intentions and successes of ICNA Relief through the people they serve. You can see it yourself every single day: www.facebook.org/icnarelief
I worked with ICNA Relief on Back to School project and Food Pantry. I find the organization very professional and full of compassion. Please donate with your time and money, you will find lot of satisfaction in making the difference in the lives of those who are vulnerable in our community.
