The Board of this organization are ethical and really do care about the children the project supports. Many have gone themselves to see the orphanage and this makes a big difference to me about giving.

Haiti Micah Project is a Christian organization dedicated to helping street children in Mirebalais, Haiti. It began in 2005 and has a BOD in the USA and a BOD in Haiti. Its founder, Rev. Joseph Constant is a Haitian American. Currently through its feeding and eduction program over 500 children are being fed and educated. In addition, it has a home that provides 24/7 care for 26 children. HMP has little administrative and fund raising costs. All directors and administrators are volunteers. An annual audit monitors its expenses and donations. It provides employment to several local Haitian workers in its feeding and water treatment programs. A monthly newsletter, a newly released website, and an active Face Book page keep donors updated and provide options for making donations. Since the 2010 Haitian earthquake, HMP has build a water treatment facility to provide safe water in a community located next to the origin of the cholera epidemic. Currently it is responding to the needs of unemployed young adults by building a vocational training.
