This scholarship scheme, Educational Pathways International (EPI), is a very good scholarship program that offers the best that can ever be given to needy and brilliant students. I came to know about the scheme through a friend who was already on it. She testified about it so much that I decided to give it a try and the outcome has been worth it.
Through this scholarship scheme, the hustle of funding my university education has completely been taken off because I was given a full scholarship which covers everything a student needs at school. To my parents, it has been a great relief since they can now totally take a whole rest when it comes to my fees, my accommodation, money for books and stipends for upkeep, which have been taken care of by this scholarship scheme. This has enabled them to fully concentrate on the needs of my younger siblings.
Personally, the opportunity through Educational Pathways International has given me a free mind to concentrate on my studies and not being distracted when it comes to financial matters. Educational Pathways International has also motivated me a lot in my studies and has broadened my field of view in life as it teaches new and exciting things during our meetings that can actually be achieved. Educational Pathways International is a stepping stone in being able to become an excellent Medical Doctor which in turn will be a great opportunity for me to pursue my studies in Paediatrics.
Educational Pathways International’s scholarship scheme is the best form of help that any student could ever have in his or her academic pursuits. God richly bless Mr. and Mrs Lafrance and the entire EPI team for the great and good work they are doing. Long live Educational Pathways International, long live all donors and sponsors of Educational Pathways International!!!

Growing up in a family with financial challenges, it was difficult for me to get full concentration as my future was greatly threatened by financial issues. The thought of reaching this far was then only a dream. I learnt about this great Organisation which offers full scholarship to gifted and financially challenged students in my university. l applied and fortunately I was awarded a full scholarship by Educational Pathways International (EPI). Since then it has been one great experience after the other.

A very great financial burden was taken off my parents shoulders. For the first time in my life, I had some people who did not only completely took over my parents' financial obligations but also represented them in their parental duties here in school. The officials of the scholarship do what every responsible parent would do to bring the best out of their children. I realized that the officials of this great family do not just want our financial welfare, but also care so much about our academic , social life, emotional needs and others.
.
Consequently, I have developed self esteem which has shaped my public speaking confidence. I have grown from being a tentative boy to a strong optimist who sees opportunity in every difficulty. Also, I can now do my research work and other assignments without having to borrow friend's laptop.

With the Education Pathways International scholarship, my future rests on solid grounds and I intend making the best out of this invaluable opportunity. Owing to this fact, I have made a firm resolve to reach the highest level in the academic sphere. I want to acquire the highest possible expertise in my field of study, Pharmacy.

Coupled with my academic and health related goals, I also want to be able to reach out to the financially challenged but brilliant children in my community. I want to be the force that propel some people forward some day. I want to be the smile on the face of that helpless person out there. I want to be a part of the reason why life is worth living for someone. Putting myself in the best position to serve humanity is my key goal in life and my whole career has always been geared towards that.

In conclusion, I thank the team that make up Education Pathways International and everybody working to ensure its sustenance and through whose efforts living testimonies are made out of hopeless situations for needy and brilliant Ghanaian students.

My name is Hassan Ishao, a final year student of University of Ghana reading Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting). I am a beneficiary of Educational Pathways International (EPI).
Educational Pathways International is the best thing that has happened in my life. EPI identifies needy and gifted students from families all over Ghana and support their education. University education is the most expensive part of education, so when I had admission I was wondering where I was going to get funding from then came an intervention of EPI. When EPI picked me four years ago as a beneficiary of their scholarship, all the despair vanished, I was filled with hope, dreams, goals of the future.
EPI did not only pay my school fees, accommodation fees and money for books and upkeep but they comprehensively helped develop my life. With EPI I had the opportunity of having many internships in different organizations, guidance and counseling sessions which helped develop my career, leadership and academic goals. My dreams of becoming an Accountant is a reality because of EPI.
I am forever grateful to Mr. and Mrs. Lafrance, Auntie Eunice for their generous and wonderful work and support. Kudos to all of you and may the good Lord bless you.

My name is Hassan Ishao, a third year student of the University of Ghana reading Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting major. I am from Navrongo in the Upper East Region of Ghana.
Being the best scholarship program in the University of Ghana in transforming the lives of needy but brilliant students whom the lives of families, communities, and the country’s hope depend on, Educational Pathways International has achieved its goals. I was selected for the scholarship program after applying and going through a number of interviews.
Being a beneficiary of this scholarship for the past three years is a life changer and blessing to me. Being the first member of my family to come to the University would have been a nightmare. Not only have my fees been paid over the past three years but also my accommodation was paid as well as money to buy books and for my upkeep. Three years as a beneficiary of Educational Pathways International has made tertiary education less stressful and gave me the peace of mind to concentrate on my studies.
Aside paying for our school fees, accommodation and our upkeep, Educational Pathways International always has a coordinator and an office where we meet periodically for guidance counseling concerning our educational and social welfare. This has helped me a lot in terms of social and educational life.
Educational Pathways International also inculcates the spirit of giving back to society in us through internships we do during our vacation periods at home. Not only do we give back but also this helps us develop our educational and professional career.

I was overjoyed after receiving a call as a recipient of Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship and it was a great moment for me and my family.
However the kind of support I am currently receiving is more than what I expect from a scholarship scheme. It has provided me the opportunity to interact with high intellectuals as well as high achievers in which we all operate as a family, sharing common ideas and problems. It’s indeed a magnificent family linked together not only through social media platforms such as WhatsApp or facebook but rather meeting together as a family.
EPI follow the progress of our studies as well as our participation in meetings, seminars and training programs and activities of the scholarship group. The foundation teaches us the importance to our commitment to social development. In addition to that, the scholarship has enable me to be more selective in how to spend my free time and the experience through service-learning, volunteer opportunities and internships will make me a more attractive job candidate.
Educational Pathways International scholarship enabled me to commit more to my coursework since the financial burden of education has been lifted from my shoulders and indeed brought my family and I peaceful mind. It has indeed boosted my confidence that a brighter future beholds awaits me and I will contribute effectively to the development of my country. And has also boosted my academic work.
In a nutshell, the peace of mind I have gotten from this scholarship is so dear to my heart. My family and I, will forever be grateful for the generosity shown to us.
Thanks to EPI benefactors, team, donors and sponsors.

Educational Pathways International (EPI) over the years have helped to nurture the dreams of several young men and women in their education, and I have been a lucky beneficiary of this intervention. Being part of this wonderful family would always be one of the major breakthroughs, as well as one of the moments I cherish most in my entire life. EPI has ensured that I concentrate on the most important part of my education, which is studying and learning.
Apart from lifting the financial burden off the shoulders of my family, EPI has also trained me in the field of Entrepreneurship, Public Speaking, Writing CV, and Preparing for Interviews as well as many other areas through our monthly meetings. These, I believe, would go a long way to impact my future in a very positive way.
The timely intervention of EPI has helped me to keep alive my dreams of becoming a Cardio Pharmacist, so that with the upsurge of cardiovascular disorders, I would be able to make an immense contribution to save humanity. I have also got to appreciate the need to give back to society through EPI, and I believe this would help me to also help other brilliant and needy students to achieve their dreams.
I would forever be grateful to the entire EPI team for their immense contribution towards my education as well as my life, and I believe God would bless them abundantly for giving a lot of young men and women hope.
Thank you.

I am Ntelikime Francis M-mebi, a fourth year student in the University of Ghana, offering BSc. Administration. I have been a beneficiary of Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship for four years. The scholarship has rekindled in me the hope of a brighter future and a better tomorrow.
When I finished senior high school, I had good grades. But, how to further my education was a big challenge. I did not have any funds and my parents could not help. But I was so courageous. I knew about scholarship schemes that helped students from homes of financial challenge to achieve their dreams. So I applied to the University of Ghana, where there exists several scholarship schemes for brilliant and needy students.
When I gained admission into the university, my next priority was to obtain a scholarship because I knew that without funding from an external source I would not be able to complete the university. I went to the internet and read through all the available scholarship schemes for University of Ghana students. After reading through them I finally settled that I was going to apply for Educational Pathways International scholarship because it was the scholarship that best suit my situation. And I was right!
Unlike other scholarships, Educational Pathways International scholarship provides full funding to its beneficiaries. I have been receiving funds for my tuition fee, accommodation, books for my programme and my personal upkeep from my very first year in the university through to my fourth year now. I have stayed on campus without having to worry about where to get funding for the next year’s expenses. Not only providing funding for students, the scholarship also makes constant arrangement to guide its beneficiaries through their career paths by providing us skills training, assisting us to get internship opportunities, and monitoring our progress in our academics and work experience through internship reports. What is more? I have had a peace of mind to focus on my studies after gaining the EPI scholarship.
Gaining EPI scholarship does not only benefit me and my family, but also the entirety of my community. Being the first person in my community to further my education after senior high school, I would continue to work hard to attain higher heights on the academic ladder to be able to help alleviate poverty in my community.
Educational Pathways International Scholarship is not only helping individuals to achieve their dreams, but also helping to bridge the inequality gap that exists between the rich and the poor in Ghana. Thanks to the Donors!

I am Ntelikime Francis M-mebi, a third year student offering BSc. Administration in the University of Ghana. I got enrolled on Educational Pathways International scholarship in my first year and has since been a beneficiary of the scholarship till now. I have benefited a lot from the Educational Pathways International scholarship.
Being raised from a peasant home, I never got it easy paying my school fees. When I finished senior high school, I got stranded: I got very good grades but could not continue my education because I did not have the needed funds. My family too could not support me because of its weak financial background. I did not also want to enter college and stop halfway. What should I do then?
I consulted one of my former teachers who encouraged me to apply to University of Ghana where scholarships are available for brilliant but needy students. Then, I went on the internet to see the scholarships that are available for students in the University of Ghana. I got a list of scholarships on the internet, but guess what, Educational Pathways International was the only scholarship scheme that covered full funding. Then I gathered courage to come to the University of Ghana.
I had to go borrowing money from different sources to be able to make it to the university, because I was certain that I would gain the Educational Pathways International scholarship. And truly, I got enrolled on the scholarship till date. Then, I heaved a sigh of relief. The scholarship refunded my admission fee making it possible for me settle my creditors without any difficulty.
The scholarship indeed provides full funding: it covers the tuition fee, accommodation fee and even academic miscellaneous expenses. From first year till now, I never hustled to pay my fees. EPI scholarship gives me an amount that is enough to pay for tuition, accommodation, and to buy books to ease my studies.
The scholarship enables students from poor homes to have access to education and to realize their dreams. Let me mention that I would have dropped out of school if I had not got the Educational Pathways International scholarship. Being the first person in my family to go to school, I could not have continued my education without any external support. My dreams would have died out. But with Educational Pathways International scholarship, I am moving on a smooth pace in my education. My dreams are gradually being realized: to finish school and to bring light to my family. Thumbs up to Educational Pathways International scholarship donors for their funds have helped in bringing me from nowhere to somewhere now.

We would all agree that for us to succeed or reach our goals in life, we need support in one way or the other. I was facing many challenges in my educational life but continued to work hard. Finally, in my tertiary education, I applied for the Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship and I was fortunate to be selected after a couple of interviews. EPI has transformed my life massively in many ways since I received the award.
Firstly, EPI paid my school fees, aside that paid for my accommodation on campus, feeding and needed school materials as well. To me, nothing can make the educational life of a student better than this. I am really grateful to EPI for this gargantuan support.
Furthermore, EPI is not just a scholarship donor but a family who cares about its beneficiaries by bringing us together on social media platforms and shares essential ideas with us and aside that, organize seminars and programmes that teaches us very important things that are outside our classroom work such as, C.V writing, Report writing, Public Speaking, and many more. EPI also requires us to do internships which is a great benefit to our own career and also contributes to society.
Finally, with all these supports from EPI, I am working very hard towards my future goals to become one of the world class professional actuaries. I strongly believe that with hard work, determination, never giving up spirit, with God on my side and having EPI as a family who supports me educationally, I am on the winning side.

My name is Esther Owusu a second year student at the University of Ghana reading Food Process Engineering. I got to know Educational Pathways International (EPI) Scholarship from a flyer on our department’s notice board. EPI Scholarship is a gift in my life and my family with the help of God. A year ago, I would sit and think of how my family would fund my university education since they would go through a lot to raise the needed amount. At times, I lose hope that my dream of being a university graduate as the first girl in my family would never materialize.

My family, most at times, dreaded the thought of not seeing me in school since it was difficult to get the needed money for my education. I am glad and thankful to God for allowing me to be part of a big family like EPI which has helped me not just financially but academically and socially as well. With the help of EPI, I am able to help my family which has however brought hope and life to my family. I am able to acquire books and other accessories needed to help me study effectively.

I came to the university with the main goal of acquiring knowledge and skills to be a better person. Also to be the person to bring the educational level of my family up and help in the building of my community and the nation at large. It is my goal to be the best in my department.

My career goal is to be an Engineer which has always been my dream even though as a female it gets tough some times. I want to be a pacesetter in my family and my community as well. I want to be an asset and not a liability. I am willing to make it with the help of God to make my EPI family proud, my family and that of myself.

I am forever grateful to God, Mr and Mrs Lafrance and my EPI family.

Thank You.

My name is Kingsley Emmanuel Bentum a final year student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), offering Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. When I thought all was lost, Educational Pathways International (EPI) came along like a bolt from the blue shining its great light of hope into my academic dream. I was then in my third year – second semester when a friend told me all about it.
All hope seemed lost to me then for I was virtually struggling to pull myself and my younger sister who was then in first year through the academic ladder. It was nothing about academics for I was already a first class student. It was indeed more of a financial constraint on me as a young orphan.
The selection process was very keen and highly competitive. Anyone would expect that from a scholarship scheme which was and still the best on campus. Nevertheless, God in His infinite wisdom saw me through this fair selection process and I was among the selected few for this awesome scholarship.
Being with the EPI family has been one of my most excellent periods on earth for my financial woes were just wiped off in a glimpse. EPI offered me a full scholarship, and this enabled me to support myself and my younger sister to pay her fees as well as provide for some other necessities.
EPI family has not only been about financially assisting students but I can confidently boast of the periodic seminars and meetings organised to groom us into individuals who will be fit for today’s world. Seminars I have enjoyed included those with interesting topics like, How to be a Good Leader, Report Writing, CV Writing, How to sit for an Interview, Goal Setting, Public Speaking among others. These have indeed helped me to be a better person more fit for any task.
One other thing I love about EPI is that, it looks beyond just giving you a scholarship to shape your moral thinking as an individual to make the world a better place. As beneficiaries of this noble Organisation, we are taught to give back to society in the little ways we can .In my opinion, if the world is emulating this manner of life –that we give back to society and not only look to society to give unto us, the challenges of this world’s would be minimised.
Thanks a lot to Mr. and Mrs. Lafrance and the entire EPI team for their selfless commitment for allowing themselves to be used by God to put smiles on the faces of some of us. I will live to be forever grateful to EPI and God.
Thank you.

I'm Wendy Aryeh Johnson a second year student at the University of Ghana (Legon). I got a scholarship from Educational Pathways International (EPI) just last year and it has been of a great help and relief to my family and I. I was given a full scholarship which comprises of my school fees, accommodation, books and upkeep money.

My single mother did not have to struggle with all these expenses this year and I am glad to see her smile. If not for the intervention of Educational Pathways International, coming to school this semester seemed like it was close to impossible as my family is still paying debts incurred as a result of the payment of chemo therapy and radiotherapy hospital bills of my brother as well as the payment of my brothers masters fees.

Educational Pathways International has helped me to be more focused on my studies as I do not want to disappoint and let the benefactors of Educational Pathways International down and this has significantly improved my academic performance. The meetings we have as beneficiaries of Educational Pathways International has helped me in other fields outside my area of study as the meetings are about teaching us how to be useful and distinct from other students.

We are been taught how to write our Curricular Vitae, Reports, tips on Public Speaking among others which are not taught during lectures at school. I want to be a Lawyer and also if possible go into lecturing. I know that with the help Educational Pathways International is giving me, I would be able to attain this career goals of mine. I want to specially thank Mr. and Mrs. LaFrance and the entire EPI team for this opportunity to achieving my dream with smiles on my face every step of the way. God bless them and Long Live Educational Pathways International.

I cannot utterly express my profound gratitude through this write- up for what the Educational Pathways International (EPI) represents in my life. It is the good Lord, however, who can fully pay this philanthropic Organisation for its wonderful humanitarian work. This review is a gesture of appreciation from Mohammed Mukhtar.
I was full of unbridled joy on that day when I was counted among the beneficiaries of the Educational Pathways International in 2016. From then and up until now, the Educational Pathways International has become a second family to me. It has taken full responsibility of my education.
Prior to this scholarship, I had faced a whole lot of difficulties in my first and half years at the university due to financial constraints. Now, these difficulties have become history, because Educational Pathways International came into my life and averted all these difficulties. Thus, paving more room for me to explore my capabilities and accrue more successes in my field of study.
Thanks to a conducive learning environment granted by this good and generous Organisation, I have achieved a lot so far in academics and other training that I have been given by EPI in our meetings. Beyond education, the Educational Pathways International provides a platform for its members, one for socialization across all its partnering institutions and it has become a counselor too. Another way the Education Pathways International benefits its beneficiaries is through periodic internship. It trains and nurtures its members in their fields of studies, thus, exposing them to diverse working environments.
To students whose educational careers are dwindling due to financial constraints should consider the Educational Pathways International as a possible solution, because it loves to help brilliant students who are financially unstable.

I would like to commence with commendations to Educational Pathways International for its philanthropic work to help unearth hidden potentials in needy, and brilliant students. I, Mohammed Mukhtar is no exception. I study Social Change Communication, a sui generis BSc. Course on Nyankpala campus in University for Development Studies.

Indeed, a unique educational benefactor, a good social interventionist, counsellor and above all, a caregiver to community work, is what I attest Educational Pathways International to be. To elaborate more in simple ways, Educational Pathways International not only provides financial assistance, but feeds, clothes, teaches, counsels, nurtures and still nurturing tertiary students from diverse educational roots. Educational Pathways International, on broader terms, has come to be not only a sponsorship programme but, a family unit of students which prepares Ghanaian students for the competitive job market. It does this through periodic internship, community work and counselling for their members. Also, since Educational pathways International's inception into the Ghanaian educational landscape, it borne and nurtured a competent and ready- made alumni for employee- seeking Organizations -be it public or private. I have no a whit of doubt that these Educational Pathways International graduates are overly patriotic and committed toward progressive development of Ghana. The Educational Pathways International inculcates that sense of belonging and patriotism in students by entering in a two -year stay or work in Ghana covenant with their progenies (members) before they are granted the scholarship. So, I think the benefits cut across from individual level to community development level and then to national at large.

On a personal level, I benefit a lot from this charitable programme, ranging from education excellence to integrating well into this sophisticated world. Many thanks to Educational Pathways International, I relieve my farming parents from huge workloads of paying my school fees, books, tuition, per diem, accomodation, clothing, and the listing goes on endlessly. Also, thanks to Educational Pathways International, I now own a personal laptop computer which facilitates my research work and serves as a tranquilizer to me, whenever I feel stressful and worn out. I believe in the byword “all work and no play makes jack the dull boy” - pastime (leisure) is equally important as work (study time).

In summation, I owe much indebtedness and pay back to the Educational Pathways International, because I can imagine how unimaginable my tertiary education would have been if I had no a saviour intervening to salvage my poverty-stricken educational career. I encourage the youth who are faced with difficulties in financing their education to look no further than Educational Pathways International, because Educational Pathways International is the last stop for needy, and brilliant student to grow. I sign out with this inspirational Latin expression for us student, “Aluta continua, Victoria ascerta", meaning the struggle continues, victory is certain.

My name is Majeed Abdul-Fatawu, a final year Bsc. Actuarial Science student of the University for Development Studies.

My desire of achieving my academic and career goals and making a positive impact on my family and the society was almost overshadowed with financial constraints. Being the first of five children of my parents who are peasant farmers, finance for my high school was always marked with tears of hardship.

Though, with a qualification to pursue tertiary education after high school, I had to stay at home for some time due to financial constraints..

I finally made it to the university with the hope that Allah will provide for the remaining years. My tears of financial hardship began after first year when my source of finance was nearly exhausted.
The scholarship offered me by Educational Pathways International (EPI) brought a sigh of relief to me and my family. It had not only been my financial anchor and a source of career and moral support, but a competitive motivation and discipline in the pursuit of my higher education. I am blessed to be part of this family.

In fact, much is deserved to be said, but I simply say; I am grateful and indebted to EPI for believing in my dreams.
EPI has supported and been part of my success so far with respect to the following academic and career goals

I intend to pursue Mphil (Actuarial Science) and a PhD by research in Actuarial Science to possibly Lecture in one of the Universities in Ghana. I have this confidence because of the positive impact that EPI has made on me.

Education is considered one of the topmost priorities in my country Ghana. Many have desired to get to higher levels of education but the economic state of the country prevents parents from helping their children and wards achieve this great vision.
My name is Soku, Yesutor Soku. I am a beneficiary of the Education Pathways International(EPI) scholarship and currently in my final year of reading a 6-year Doctor of VeterinaryMedicine (DVM) programme at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. Veterinary practice in my country has been dormant with government’s intervention to revive it through the establishment of veterinary schools in the country of which I found myself in one:Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. Stepping into this fieldof study was very challenging since materials needed to facilitate studies was unavailable in the country. Again, tuition fees were on the higher side for my course making learning very difficult.
In my clinical year of studies, which is my fourth year, I met a wonderful family called Educational Pathways International (EPI), through a scholarship application. From the day ofscholarship till date, almost about to complete my programme, this foundation has been able to help me purchase both hardcopy books and e-books to facilitate my studies. They also took it upon themselves to pay for my tuition fees, accommodation and also get me stipends to cater formyself through each academic year.
They have not only been interested in my academic programme, but also interested in other spheres of my life. They therefore organize trainings, workshop/seminars where they empowerered me on various topics such as entrepreneurship, financial investments, lifestyle practices, reportand resumè writings amongst others. To add to the joy of being with this family, they organize various programmes that ensure that our health and diet are also in check.
I can boast by grace that through the relentless effort given to me by EPI, I will be graduating with distinction in the field of Veterinary Medicine, readily empowered to contribute my quota to the development of society. EPI has done a lot for me and others as well in my institution and EPI is currently the most enviable scholarship fund in my institution.
To the founders, Sara and Leonard Lafrance, I say a very big thank you to you for your immense help. God richly bless you and your team. You have a place inscribed within the members of myheart.

I am Soku Yesutor, a student pursuing Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. I am the first born of my family, 4 in number. I am an ambitious person, problem solver and risk taker with excellent leadership qualities. I however found it difficult paying my academic and accommodation fees due to financial challenges. Complicating this issues, the program I pursue is a new program in the country and therefore adequate resources are not available for effective knowledge acquisition. However, when I applied to Educational Pathways International (EPI) and was granted a scholarship, I can say of a truth, my story has changed for the good. They pay my academic fees and give me funds for my accommodation and purchase of academic materials among others. I am now holding the position of president in my faculty, which would not have possible without the EPI. This would not have been possible with any other scholarship scheme on my campus other than EPI.

Educational Pathways International Scholarship (EPI) is the best scholarship I have ever had the opportunity to enjoy. It is that scholarship scheme which seeks to look out for and help intellectually sound students who are socio-economically challenged with their pursuit of their higher education.

The EPI scholarship was founded by Sara Lafrance and her husband Leonard in 2005. Their mission was to look out for gifted young people in the developing countries to nurture them and contribute to the educational pursuit in life. They partnered three (3) universities in Ghana namely the University of Ghana - UG, the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology – KNUST and the University of Development Studies - UDS. Since their partnering, gifted students have enjoyed from their scholarships to pursue their education, of which I am, and some even coming to the completion of their undergraduate studies.

The EPI like non other scholarship on the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology where I am, is an unparalleled scholarship. It is by far the best and only scholarship scheme that provides adequate support to the beneficiary student to cater for his/her academic fees, accommodation fees, purchase of academic materials and as well giving the student some funds to take of his/her day-to-day activities. Through the EPI I have had the peace of mind to study and acquire more knowledge that has propelled me on top of the academic ladder in my faculty.

The EPI is the only scholarship scheme where there is a strong rapport with the founders and their team as well as the beneficiaries compared to other scholarship schemes where the benefactor(s) only give support and hardly or never check-up on their beneficiaries. For instance, through the EPI, I have been able to attend a 3-day leadership workshop and also learn on public speaking, writing a curriculum vitae among many others, to improve upon myself. The EPI is simple the most amazing and the best.

EPI is the best scholarship I have seen and met. I am proud to be a part of the EPI family and thanks to the founders and their global team for their support.

my name is Eric Ofori, a 4th year Basic Education student from the University for Development Studies. At the point where all hope were lost and no one to turn to when my brother who was taking care of me in my schooling passed away leaving me to face the world alone. All hope were lost but came an organization that seeks the welfare of the needy but brilliant students assisting them in their education through the provision of scholarship to them. This organization known as Educational Pathways International is a nonprofit organization that helps students to achieve their goals, dream, and aspirations and also does not require anything in return.
My experience with this organization has helped improved my academic performance with their rich programs that helps its beneficiaries to achieve academic excellence in school and exhibit good conduct in school and home. success does not come only by withone person but through the efforts of other people, my success in my studies has been the effort and support of this noble organization (Educational Pathways International). they did not only help me to finance my education in this noble university but also help me to provide financial assistance to my siblings schooling elsewhere.
My career goal was to become a professional teacher and they have helped me achieving this goal. Educational Pathways International has removed a burden on me and now I am one of the best student in the University with encouraging grade.
I thank Educational Pathways International family for the support rendered to me and the entire beneficiaries . Nonprofit organization that render selfless service to the needy, helping them to achieve their dream and aspirations and does not demand anything in return in return, then the name that come to mind is Educational Pathways International.
We members on the Educational Pathways International scholarship say thank you for helping us when we needed you most, thank you Educational Pathways International and may the good Lord bless you for your selfless service to mankind.

It gives me great joy whenever I get the opportunity to tell the world about the marvellous work of Educational Pathways International (EPI) in the lives of gifted students in Ghana. My name is Benedictus K. Agbenyo a final year student from the University For Development Studies (UDS). I come from a single parenting home where finance to feed was a problem for the family, not to talk of education. I took a leap of faith when I decided to come to the University because there was no way I could have finished my four years course with my family’s meagre income.

In 2015, EPI came to my University (University for Development Studies), that was when the breath of hope entered my dreams. I was among the five gifted students who were awarded full Scholarship for the rest of their remaining education by EPI. This scholarship package includes: school fees, books allowance, stipend and accommodation fee. This means EPI has taken full responsibility of my financial needs without requesting for anything in return. This was and still is a great relief to my family and myself since we don’t have to worry about my educational financial needs.

Aside the financial support EPI gave me, they have created a great and wonderful family for us (beneficiaries). Though we are from different campuses of the same University; offering different programmes; different ethnic groups and religion, EPI has put all of us together to create a strong and harmonious family. This has taught me that the development of our country (Ghana) is only possible when we put our differences aside and focus on our common goal of making our country a better place. EPI also has a monthly seminar to provide extracurricular support for all beneficiaries, where we are taken through life-transforming topics like how to set and achieve goals, how to make effective use of our time, among others. Currently, EPI has awarded full scholarship to twenty gifted students from my University.

I am now in my final year in the University and I believe without EPI, it would not have been possible. By the end of this year, I will be a graduate of Economics because EPI cared enough to give me the privilege of University education. I owe the responsible person I am becoming to EPI.
Not mincing words, being part of Educational Pathways International (EPI) family is one of the best things that has happen to me. EPI has touched my life, brought relief to my family, possible transformation to my nation (Ghana) and an opportunity of change to the world. Kudos EPI. God bless!

I'm Gloria Akua Annan, a 3rd year student reading a Bachelor of Arts Degree program in English with a minor study in Political Science at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and currently a beneficiary of the Educational Pathways International scholarship.

Educational Pathways International scholarship is outstanding because it is a full scholarship which covers my full academic fees, accommodation, books and feeding.
Having had the privilege to be enrolled on this scholarship, I have been able to pay my fees for the 2017/2018 academic year which had been a debt and would have eventually compelled me to defer my program of study.
Previously, I was lodging with a course mate in her room which was very problematic. However, I have been able to secure a room in the hostel for myself with part of the money I benefited from the Educational Pathways International scholarship . I have gotten a laptop and some reading materials for myself which will help in my academics.
Notwithstanding the above, Educational Pathways International scholarship has changed circumstances in my family positively. I've been able to send a little money home for the upkeep of the family and I no longer depend on my single mother for my daily upkeep hence the money she makes is used to cater for my siblings' educational expenses.

The greatest of these life changing benefits is that with Educational Pathways International scholarship, my aspiration to become a Human Rights Activist will materialise. Acting in the capacity as a Human Rights Activist, I will most importantly advocate for the natural, civil, political, economic and socio-cultural rights of the vulnerable in society.
As an activist, I'll support victims of human rights violations, work to secure accountability and end impunity, offer human rights education and training and finally support better governance and government policies.
Educational Pathways International scholarship has now become the vehicle to transport my dream to reality.

I am currently in my penultimate year of medical school and I can only thank Educational Pathways International for supporting me to get this far. It would have been a herculean task to get to where I am now if not for the financial and mentorship support I received from the organization. The peculiar thing about the scholarship is the how it links awardees and mentors, building a family through which we can share ideas and encourage one another.
This really is one of the best organization in the world, it has not only given people from less privileged backgrounds the opportunity to realize their full potential but is also enabling them to be in a position to help their nations and communities.

Educational Pathways International (EPI)-A Remarkable Charity Organization.

I joined the EPI family a year ago as one of the beneficiaries of the EPI scholarship in Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. It has been a life-transforming experience for me. Now in my third year in medical school, it would have been extremely difficult to reach where I am if not for the timely award of the EPI scholarship.
The scholarship has not only provided financial support for me, but it has provided much needed academic counseling and the opportunity to meet and network with other distinguished scholarship beneficiaries. This is strikingly different from many of the charity organizations working in education. The EPI program has changed my perspectives about life; it has built an unquenchable test to give back to society in whatever capacity I can.

I, Kezia Mensah Nyarkpoh, having been a member of the Educational Pathways International (EPI), Family for about a year now, I must admit that I am very impressed with EPI's packages. I count myself blessed and privileged to be a part of this unique family. I, therefore write to express my views on EPI presently.

Through the initiative of Mr. and Mrs. Lafrance, the University of Ghana Student Financial Aid Office (SFAO), the Coordinator EPI, Legon and the various sponsors of EPI, I attest to the fact that my stay in this University has been fruitful. The monthly EPI Family meeting in every Semester together with the Annual luncheon program has been a platform for me to interact and learn from people of like mind.

To conclude, EPI has really given young people like me the opportunity to advance in my education which is in line with attaining my career goals. With EPI's ability to fund every fee including a decent upkeep money, I recommend EPI Scholarship to every student who is not financially viable to pursue higher education because EPI is a trusted sponsor of ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE.

I am Jonathan Akafua, a final year Electrical Engineering student in the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. I am a beneficiary of the scholarship program under Educational Pathways International (EPI). I was awarded the scholarship in the year 2014.
Facing intense financial challenges in my education, I had to strife and struggle to make it through to the university. In gaining admission into the university, I tried to envision my journey through the university. I envisaged that this juncture of my educational life turned was comparable to a very dark tunnel without a light at the end of the tunnel. So fortunately, I had a turnaround in my life. I was enrolled with EPI. That was when I not only saw a bright light at the end of the tunnel but inside the tunnel. Since that time, I cared less about financial trouble. This opportunity has enabled me gain the maximum concentration towards my academic work and in developing myself personally and professionally. I am so grateful to EPI for picking me up from a nearly hopeless situation and giving me hope.
The name EPI will never part from my lips when I narrate my life story to any individual I encounter in my endeavors in life. I count myself as the luckiest person on earth to be a beneficiary of EPI.

My name is Jonathan Akafua, a third year student of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) reading BSc. Electrical Engineering. In 2013, my brother John and I had passed the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) with flying colours. Our performance made my parents and various family members so proud of us. One thing that I was so sure of was that gaining admission into the university would not be a problem at all for both of us. However, due to the financial background of my family, the greatest problem I knew we would be facing in the new episode of my academic life would be finance. That year, my dad took a loan from the bank and part of his provident fund to pay our school fees, accommodation and provide clothing and food. However, after paying the school fees, accommodation and buying the clothing John and I needed for school, the money he had borrowed was almost exhausted.
This made my first year quite a challenge for me. Thus, I found it difficult to feed myself let alone talking of books to buy. Moreover, I was not ready to be a burden on my father since I was virtually not the only one he was catering for. Yet, I made a relentless effort of not making my dad’s effort fruitless, even though it was quite difficult a challenge. My performance in the first year impressed him and he promised me he would do whatever it takes to make sure he sponsored my education. A responsible and promising father indeed!!.
Before I started my second year at the university, I could not bear the thought of how my father would take care of me in school since he had not cleared the debts he had incurred during the previous academic year. Those moments of my life were one of my worst nightmares. I then started searching for scholarship opportunities to ease the burden on my dad and also to give me the maximum focus I needed.
I applied for scholarship with Educational Pathways International (EPI) and fortunately for me I had it. I still believe that it was EPI that located me in my distress. The day I had this scholarship is one of the moments I can never forget in my life. Words could not and cannot express my joy because I knew I was liberated from dependence on my dad. Even my dad was so glad because he knew that for the rest of my first degree programme, he would not have to bother himself on how he would fend for me. My life was for the first time turned around. I could study without thinking of how I would survive on campus. And as of now, all I am doing is making good use of this opportunity given me. There is one thing I can say with certainty; EPI is now a part of my life. I can never tell my life story anywhere I find myself without the name EPI surfacing. EPI is indeed the greatest miracle that ever happened to me.

Success means having the courage, the determination, and the will to become the person you believe you were meant to be by George Sheehan. I can confidently say that the path of success was gradually travelled with ease when I met Educational Pathways International (EPI) in my second year of my tertiary education.
I am Irene Takyiwaa Mensah, a final year BSc. Mathematics student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). I am highly privileged to be a part of this great family.
I write to express my profound gratitude to EPI for being there for me when things seemed impossible financially during my tertiary education. EPI provided money to cater for my fees, accommodation, extra tuition and money for up-keep. My dreams have become a reality because of EPI.
In addition, we appreciate Mr. and Mrs. Lafrance for their immense support for us, the beneficiaries. It is said that, “The most important function of education at any level is to develop the personality of the individual and the significance of his life to himself and to others”, therefore Auntie Eunice the coordinator for EPI frequently gives us lectures on How to Prepare for Interviews, Time Management, CV Writing, Public Speaking, Setting Goals, and more topics to enhance our attitude towards academic work and other aspect of our lives. We take internships during the vacations as a way of giving back to the society as well as developing our skills.
Also, EPI does everything in order that each member of the family is successful. We are encouraged and motivated to pursue greater success in our fields of study. Senior colleagues in the family serve as role models for the younger ones. Mr and Mrs Lafrance’s visit to Ghana each year makes the bond within the family greater and we are challenged to go higher in whatever we are doing. God bless Mr. and Mrs. Lafrance and Auntie Eunice for transforming our lives in so many ways through EPI.          MENSAH IRENE TAKYIWAA

I became a beneficiary of the Educational Pathways International (EPI) in the 2014/2015 academic year. I applied for the EPI Scholarship, was shortlisted and interviewed. On the evening of the interview, I was called that I have been awarded the scholarship. The joy and happiness I experienced cannot be expressed since it was clear that my university education will be completed successfully with less difficulty in terms of finances. Below are some of the ways in which the scholarship has helped me.
The payment of my fees which has been the major challenge has been taken care of. The rest of my fees for the 2014/2015 academic year was paid for. In addition, my fees for this academic year was catered for by EPI. Aside my fees there was money to cater for accommodation on campus, money to cover expenses on books and stationery and upkeep money, which comes to supplement what my mother and other family members provide for my up-keep.
On behalf of my family and me, we thank Mr. and Mrs. Lafrance for the provision they have made for me. I am relieved of stress and can concentrate on my academics and excel by God’s Grace through their immense contribution to my education. My mother is now able to use the resources available to cater for my younger siblings.
I am grateful for the opportunity given me by Mr. and Mrs. Lafrance for helping me immensely in my education. Thank you and God richly bless you.

I have benefited from EPI since my first year at University of Ghana and EPI has since paid all my fees (both academic and residential) and provided me with enough money for my books, upkeep, and other expenses. EPI does not only provide financial support to its beneficiaries but create opportunities for them. EPI partners with other institutions in order to create opportunities for we the beneficiaries. I have been able to volunteer with Universities Studies Abroad Consortium thanks to the help of our industrious program coordinator, Auntie Eunice. This volunteering has offered me great benefits among them is the career and financial benefits it offers me in addition to that of EPI which has made it possible for me to save money towards my professional examinations after graduation. The training offered by Auntie Eunice in areas such as time management, goal setting, career development, CV writing, ethics, among others has adequately equipped and provided me with enough information for my success in the job market.
My dream to graduate from the University with accounting degree is almost at fruition due to the immense financial help and motivational support EPI has offered me and other equally needy students. I would not have made it to this point without EPI and I am forever grateful.
EPI has made a significant investment in educating the youth of Ghana and deserves the necessary appreciation and support.

I am Tengue Komlan Emmanuel a third year student reading BSc. Administration (Accounting option) at the University of Ghana Business School. I am privileged to be a beneficiary of Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship program.

When I was admitted to the university, I was very excited because my dream of pursuing tertiary education was at hand but one thing that made me worried was how to finance my university education. Fortunately, EPI came to my aid and I can confidently say I no longer worry about finances which has allowed me to fully focus on my studies and graduate with a good class. Indeed, EPI has made my educational pursuit a possibility.

EPI has not only offered me financial assistance but also, EPI has established a system that offers me numerous benefits that are non-existent with almost all the other scholarship schemes available to students at the University of Ghana.

EPI has an organizational framework that captures its beneficiaries needs and properly addresses them. EPI is the only scholarship scheme on my campus that has its own office with a formidable Coordinator (Auntie Eunice) that administers the affairs of the scheme for the welfare of its beneficiaries. The Coordinator guides, counsels and directs us (beneficiaries) to excel academically and morally and also train us with skills and information that we will need in the working world, and most importantly, she makes sure our funds are released to us on time.

EPI inspires me to learn harder by awarding beneficiaries who excel in their fields of study. To me, EPI is a family that brings the beneficiaries together to share opportunities and experiences. This has created a strong family bond among the beneficiaries and the benefactors. What excites me most about EPI is that; it has structures that bring the alumni together to share ideas, experiences and opportunities that ensures a long term solidarity.

Last but not the least, EPI makes sure its beneficiaries undertake internships during vacations which has helped me to develop new skills, gain confidence in my abilities and also network.
I am living a comfortable life on campus thanks to EPI for its financial support, guidance and counselling. EPI has made my academic goal a reality. I recommend EPI for its selfless support in changing the lives of numerous youth in Ghana.

My four year journey with Educational Pathways International (EPI) has been an amazing one. My expectations on entering the university was very bleak, taking into consideration the financial challenges at home and the nigh impossibility of my getting into the university because of that. Upon getting into the university to do a course branded by many as a ‘rich mans’ course’ I was distraught but EPI helped me in acquiring study materials, accommodation, fees and upkeep. All these have helped create a conducive atmosphere and psyche for me to go through my four year undergraduate legal studies. The seminars organized by EPI for us the beneficiaries has helped me improve upon many job acquisition skills such as time management, human resource management skills among others. This has also helped me win a number of laurels including;
Being adjudged- the best debator in GHANA consecutively for the past three years; best oralist in the Georgina T. Wood Moot Court Competition in Ghana. I also represented Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) to win 3rd best Anglophone University in the 24th All African Human Right Moot Court Competition in Zambia and also the national rounds of the Philip C Jessup Moot Court Competition among other laurels.

EPI has also provided an avenue for me to give back to the society. EPI has an alliance with Akim Asafo Senior High School in the Eastern region of Ghana where beneficiaries can go there for a period, help teach students and also offer mentorship to the secondary school students. This is known as THE ASAFO PROGRAMME. I have really been inspired by that programme to always give back to society because the mentorship we have been offering to the students encourage the students that there is hope out there for them.

Last but not least is the family EPI has given me. EPI has been a family to me, the Mr and Mrs Lafrance have a really cool and amicable relationship with us. Amongst the beneficiaries we learn a lot from each other, take trips and enjoy each other’s company. This is a very essential benefit we get from EPI because in such a stressful academic setting, some people are not able to on their own have people who care about them as much but with EPI there is always someone out there you know you can count on and we are really grateful to have that.

To me, EPI is a hope angel! An angel that inspired confidence and possibilities at a time that I needed these most. An angel that took away the engulfing gloom and restored light in my academic and career path. These are personal and real! I met EPI during the first year of my bachelor studies. This was a time that my parents’ finances had tanked. It was a time that the remaining three years of my bachelor studies were seemingly bleak due to the prevailing financial constraints. It was at this point in time that I met EPI, my angel of hope. I was numbered among the five gifted students and awarded a scholarship that covered the entire period of my bachelor studies. All uncertainties were dispelled and I completed my bachelor studies successfully with excellent grades. Not only this but also, EPI enriched my CV by employing me as an assistant coordinator of the scholarship programme in Ghana after my bachelor studies. I can’t conclude this review without mentioning the quality of social grooming I enjoyed whiles I was with EPI. It was such a good and empowering experience. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD programme in Economics and Management at Université libre de Bruxelles in Belgium. I am a testimony of the good works of EPI. I am truly grateful to EPI and to The Lafrances for contributing to my academic success and helping me to be a better person.
Always proud to be part of the EPI family!

There are times in life where one needs a helping hand in order to achieve his or her dreams. It is true what they say in my local dialect “obiara nim obrempo ashease” literally translated as “no one can be certain of the start of greatness”. It is with this notion that Educational Pathways International made its role known as an NGO dedicated towards fostering socio-economic growth and development in Ghana by transforming the lives of brilliant but needy students through a comprehensive scholarship scheme in universities all over the country. Hundreds of lives, or better still “futures” have been transformed by EPI, and yes, I am one of the privileged.
I am now a graduate of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Settlement Planning. With EPI providing financial security for my undergraduate study, I was able to give full concentration to my studies and I emerged as the Best Female Student 2016, Academics, College of Arts and Built Environment, KNUST for my graduating year. I am currently working as a teaching and Research Assistance at the Department of Planning, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. I also double up as the Campus Coordinator for Educational Pathways International. Working with Educational Pathways International gives me the opportunity to give back to my society and equally impact others like EPI did for me.
With this I say a big THANK YOU to Educational Pathways International, A family like none other. Am grateful for all the support, EPI is not just transforming lives but generations.

With utmost gratitude and appreciation, I write this review on Educational Pathways International (EPI) for its dedication towards fostering socio-economic growth and development in Ghana by transforming the lives of brilliant but needy students in universities all over the country. I am Valentina Nyame, a final year student offering BSc. Human Settlement Planning at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) –Ghana. For the past 4years – thus, all my stay on campus – I have been a proud beneficiary of the EPI scholarship program and I must say with all truthfulness, that being with a family like EPI has been the best experience I can ever have and has imparted my life in ways I never thought was possible. EPI is more than a scholarship program, we consider ourselves as a family and as a result work towards the personal, intellectual, professional and social development of each other.

The goal of EPI is to “recognize, supports, and empower, gifted young people from families of need in the country of Ghana through a comprehensive university scholarship program, enabling them to develop their talents and make a positive difference in their home country“. In my view tremendous results have been achieved, since I have seen my colleague beneficiaries take up major student positions, receive countless awards, graduate with the best of grades, with some furthering their education in prominent schools both within and outside the country while others join the working environment. None of the above would have been possible without EPI. For me, I could not have made it this far in my educational path without EPI as a backbone . EPI has empowered me to reach higher in all endeavors and has been a source of inspiration for others like me to give back to the community.

It sometimes saddens me that I am not in the position to provide the financial or otherwise support needed to support the course of EPI for now. But I believe strongly that others in the position to support will not miss the chance to touch the lives of students like me.
Thank you EPI.

I thought my dreams of furthering my education was not going to happen until I was introduced to Educational Pathways International (EPI) through the recommendation of an academic professional when I got admission to the University of Ghana.
Since I got this privilege, my life and that of my family has been changed. I have had access to learning materials, counselling and personal development training, internship and community service opportunities that are provided by EPI.
EPI is giving young people like myself the ability to make great futures without the limitation of lack of finances. EPI is worth recommending for its dedicated and selfless support to the youth of Ghana. Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Lafrance, our Country Coordinator and the sponsors of EPI Scholarship program. God bless you.

My name is Daniel Kobina Okwan, a fourth and final year Medical Laboratory Technology student of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and a proud beneficiary of the Educational Pathways International (EPI) Scholarship Programme. Although, I joined the programme year three of my University pursuit, the package the programme offers is enormous and we feel part of everything organised. The local Coordinator warmly called Auntie Eunice calls on each beneficiary to ensure their safety and well-being both academically and socially.
It gives me great pleasure to give my heartfelt and profound acknowledgement to such an astounding God-sent organization. Through their bountiful support to me towards my education I will forever remain grateful and indeed only words cannot express that.
Educational Pathways International (EPI) is the most charitable organization that seeks to help the less privileged in tertiary institution with extraordinary academic performance especially in Africa, precisely Ghana. Once one becomes a beneficiary, he or she is taken through training that would equip such an individual holistically to develop his or her skills for the competitive world. As a benefactor, it challenges all its beneficiaries to take up responsibilities and contribute their quota to the development of their nation. With the help of this great organization, Ghana would develop tremendously from one level to another since as part of their training, being a transformational leader, creative and innovative is a core discipline inculcated in its beneficiaries.
Indeed life would have been difficult for me and my family if I had not being offered this indispensable financial aid for my University education. Great relief was restituted into my life when I was awarded the most enviable scholarship on campus. The Educational Pathways International (EPI) Scholarship Programme is second to none as far as university education in Ghana especially at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) is concerned. This is because of the numerous opportunities provided by the scholarship scheme.
The organization teaches all its beneficiaries to be kind hearted and give back to the society through volunteering community services such as taking part in annual internship programmes and teaching at a remote community, to mention but a few. With this group by my side I know I would contribute immensely to national development through my unwavering service to my community and beyond.
Mr. and Mrs. Lafrance, your commitment to assist, inspire and motivate the brilliant but needy students to complete their university education will have a lasting positive impact even on posterity. Long live the duo, the legacy and every stakeholder in this programme.
Thank you and God bless you abundantly.

I am Michael Agyemang Obeng, a beneficiary of Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship and a fourth year student of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), pursuing BSc Medical Laboratory Technology.
EPI has freed my mind from financial worries. Added to the financial aid are the benefits I have derived from the seminars, internships and mentorship programs - all because of EPI. I have personally benefited more than I anticipated - EPI is really helping me in nurturing my dreams and bringing them into fruition.
Furthermore, I enjoy our meetings usually organized by the local coordinator, Auntie Eunice Adjoa Eghan. Auntie Eunice (as she is affectionately called by EPI beneficiaries), through these meetings has helped me immensely. The meeting refreshes us and brings all the beneficiaries together. During meetings, we are taught topics such as “Public speaking”, “Preparing to attending job interview”, “Time management” and among others which are all aimed at grooming us to be better professionals. In a nutshell, I want to emphasize that it is only with EPI that such benefits could be gotten.
EPI has given me the opportunity to meet and network with other eminent beneficiaries of this scholarship. As a matter of fact, there is an impressive difference in the benefit one gets with EPI which cannot be gotten with other charitable organizations in education. I will say that, the EPI program has modified my expectation for the future; now I have a burning and insatiable desire to give back to society to the best of my ability.
To me EPI is not just a charitable organization that takes care of the education of brilliant but needy students but a fabulous and a fantastic family! Indeed EPI has proved to be more than a boon companion. I am grateful to Mrs. Sara Lafrance, Mr. Leonard Lafrance, Auntie Eunice Adjoa Eghan and all who have contributed to the success of this scholarship program.

My lifelong dream of attending university is becoming a reality.
DANIEL AFENYA
University of Ghana, Legon.
BA. Economics and statistics
Final year student

I am honored to be a beneficiary of the Educational Pathways International (EPI) Scholarship scheme. Thank you for generously supporting me. Thank you for giving me a tertiary education. My lifelong dream of attending a university is becoming a reality. I am grateful for the financial aid I am receiving from EPI. The scholarship is really helping me. There is no need to worry about my tuition and accommodation fees. This is because EPI is paying for my tuition and accommodation.
I happened to join the EPI family in 2013 just after my admission at University of Ghana, Legon. Having been awarded the scholarship, I realized EPI is not just a scholarship scheme but a family. Why is this so? EPI has the welfare of its members at heart. EPI gives you full scholarship which comprises of accommodation, school fees, books and stipends. It gives tertiary education to the less privilege and gifted students. Because EPI believes greatly that education is mind opening and therefore it is a powerful weapon that can be used to change the world. What else is more important than giving tertiary education to the less privilege?
According to James Dewar, a Scottish Physicist, Chemist and an inventor of Dewar flask “minds are like parachutes, they only function when they are open”. Yes! An open mind is a mind that that is open to new thoughts and new ways of doing things. It does not see obstacles but opportunities. EPI is opening my mind. Because education gives the individual critical skill and tools to better provide for his/her self, children, family, community, country and the whole world at large. In addition, education provides a great opportunity to meet a wide variety of people and build a network of friends and contact. In general, education increases people’s knowledge of how to live a healthy life style. Because an educated person provides people with knowledge about vaccination, cleaned drinking water and fitness. In most cases educated person is a healthy person.
Hey don’t forget that EPI is not just a scholarship scheme but a family. As a member of EPI family you don’t only get your fees paid. You receive training in time management, career development, entrepreneurship, CV writing, cover letter preparation, interview preparation and other employable toolkits. If you are brilliant and determine to attend university but handicapped financially then EPI is the family you should turn to. “Education is a better safeguard of liberty than a standing army”, Edword Everett. EPI gives you that liberty. I am grateful to Mr. Leonard Lafrance and Mrs. Sarah Lafrance for nurturing this idea.
Once again thank you for the vote of confidence in me. I am committed to my education. I am one step closer to becoming an Economist. EPI is changing lives. I highly recommend EPI to any donor and any brilliant but needy student ready to enroll for tertiary education. With EPI your tuition, books and accommodation are taken care off.

My name is Grant Jenny, a final year medical student at The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. When i was in first year, things were really tough for me. Getting books, study materials and catering for my basic needs was a huge challenge. I was not certain i would be able to finish school or even if i did, i wondered how meaningful my education would be. But then in second year, EPI came in and sponsored my education. That was a huge turn around for me, my family and for all the people i will impact in the future as a doctor. How would this journey have been had EPI not stepped in at the right time ? Well thankfully i would never know because when it really mattered, they extended a helping hand to me and for this, i will forever be grateful. This world definitely needs more organizations like Educational Pathways International!

My name is Charlotte Akyere Sampson. I am twenty-two (22) years of age and the second of three children. I am a student of the University of Ghana Business School studying Accounting. I am in my third year and would like to become a Chartered Accountant in the future. I am a creative person so during my leisure time, I love to bead, either making jewelries and slippers. I enjoy doing voluntary activities as well. Also, I have the zeal to start my own business.
Educational Pathway International (EPI) provides scholarship to brilliant but needy students. I heard of EPI during the orientation section organized for fresh students. Afterwards, I visited the Students Financial Aid Office to make enquiries. There are requirements that one must meet in order to qualify for the scholarship. After going through it thoroughly, then I applied. Later, I was called together with other applicants to attend the first interview. Although it wasn't easy for me, however I still passed. I was invited to attend the second and final interview session. It was tough since all the other applicants seemed equally good but then again I qualified.
Being a beneficiary of EPI comes with many rewards. Personally, EPI has been very impactful on my life. It has provided me with financial freedom directing my focus towards my studies. I also benefit from the challenging environment that EPI provides us. For example, the giving of awards to best performing students. This encourages me to continually improve my academic performance. Also EPI makes it mandatory for beneficiaries to intern during the long vacation. As a result, I have been able to work with some corporate organizations such as Ghana Highway Authority and Ghana Revenue Authority. Additionally, I have been able to volunteer with an International program called University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC) as a student buddy. This was made possible because of the existing relationship between EPI and USAC. The training I get from being a student buddy is great. The Alumni network of EPI is a very strong one. We are one big family. I receive assistance from some members of the Alumni in times of need.
I can gladly say I am a transformed lady as compared to my earlier years. Before I joined EPI, I used to be a very shy person. The consistent meetings we hold with effective training organized changed me. I can happily say that I am now bold, knows what I want in life and more than determined to achieve my goals. The greatest of my priorities is to give back to society and also influence the lives of others.
I am very delighted to belong to such a wonderful family. It is awe-inspiring.

Counting my blessings, I am in no doubt that I will begin with no other than what God through the Educational Pathways International Scholarship has done for me and my family.
I joined this wonderful family by name EPI in 2015 after it was recommended to me by a friend. That was just about the right time for I was in serious financial constraints at that time. With virtually no one to help push me through my tertiary education, EPI came in to support me literally like an angel sent into my life.
Educational Pathways International stands out among other scholarship programs being run on campus for a number of reasons but time and space will permit me to mention a few.
Indeed I applied alone but it seem as if it is the whole family that was awarded this great financial assistance. By the grace of God through EPI, I did not abandon my tertiary education. With EPI sponsorship, I am now supporting my junior sister who is currently a third year student in the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. With this same financial assistance, I have been able to set my elder sister up in business and now she can adequately support herself and my junior sister as well. One will understand why I normally say “EPI is not just about the individual but the family entirely”. You are simply given more than just enough.
Also, EPI I must say is a “family” and not just an NGO. Our benefactors Mr. and Mrs. Lafrance are completely our parents. Their parental roles are indispensable. They counsel us, encourage us and never cease the opportunity to fly all the way from the USA to join us in our annual family gathering. It has always been a delight having them around. A family we are and forever will be. No wonder we address our Program Director as “Aunty Eunice”.
EPI is not just interested in supporting us financially but building and guiding us to be complete persons . In this wonderful family, we are taught very essential topics like: “How to prepare for an interview, Preparing a CV, Goal Setting, Time management etc. “It is an undeniable fact that these and many more like these are very essential in surviving in both our social and business life. I must be frank to say that it was at these meetings that I learnt how to go about writing my CV and I am more a better a person than I was before joining EPI.
One other thing I love so much about EPI is that, it teaches its members how to give back to society. It is not only a requirement in filing an application for EPI scholarship in writing but you are taught how to go about it. Periodically members of this wonderful family go and help the teaching staff of Akim Asafo Senior High School in the eastern region of Ghana as a way of giving back to society. It is really a delight as members of EPI offer help in the various subjects and as well counsel and interact with the students.
Once on EPI, it is a forever adoption. EPI does not end when one is out of the first degree program. Wherever a member goes, from furthering one’s education even to social events like marriages, EPI has always been there. These are few among the lot why EPI has been and will forever be the best in my heart.
To my God-sent foster parents Mr. and Mrs. Lafrance, may the good Lord keep on blessing you for the great roles you are playing in the lives of some of us. Tears of joy always well up in my eyes when I remember the day I was made a member of this family through no extraordinary qualifications but just that you hear and understand it when the needy cries.
Thank you.

Educational Pathways International (EPI) is one of the best non-profit scholarship awarding organizations that I have ever come across. Like its name sounds, it seek not only to help students financially but also continuously create in them new pathways of hope, determination and to strive for academic excellence even as they climb up the educational ladder. All this I say because I am a living witness to what this wonderful organization is doing in Ghana and other parts of the world.
I must confess that, there are several reasons why I will recommend EPI to many but for want of space and time as well as for the purpose of this review, I have decided to stick to these cogent ones out of the lot I can enumerate.
To begin, EPI as an organization is not restricted to some selected few of individuals like say only students of Engineering or Medicine as some other scholarship organizations do. Rather it opens its tentacles to make known its intentions to the whole student populace. It is well advertised and their doors are always opened for any enquiry one would like to make. This has endeared the organization to the student populace so much that it is the most talked about organization on various campuses.
Another interesting thing about EPI I that I cherished so much is their selection process. The documents requested are always within the reach of any student willing to apply and enough time is given for aspiring students to assemble them before the closing date. Also a thorough and an unbiased interview is conducted for the selected few to ensure they indeed deserve the grant and this is beside the scrutiny of the about thousand pieces of documents submitted for consideration. This always involves the constant annual visitations of Mr. and Mrs. Lafrance to Ghana and even in situations where circumstances prevent them from getting involved there has always been a live streaming of the interview to suffice for their absence, so committed they have always been.
Furthermore, this wonderful organization has always kept to their promise of grants and has not only been prompt in honouring them but annually they seem to have always increased the grants to students. EPI gives you more than an average student will need to cater for his fees, books, accommodation as well as upkeep money and any other need as they may come. It is indeed an all in all scholarship. In a nut shell. I will always say that, their grants have always been enough and on time.
EPI does not only look at our tertiary education but also has great interest in the lives of our sisters and brothers in the secondary schools as well. It may interest you to know that as part of its annual programme, beneficiaries from EPI go to Akim Asafo Senior High School, one of the less privileged schools in the eastern region of Ghana to teach them as well as assist them in any way they can. This is so much unlike many other organizations at least with the few I know of. God bless EPI, Sara and Leonard Lafrance for what they are doing for generations.

Mere words cannot describe how Educational Pathway International has been a principal tool in my life. I joined this great family in 2016, I have really enjoyed being a part of this lovely family . The general meetings where we discuss life transforming like, public speaking etc. Which has really added more to our lives. Before I joined EPI, I was really facing tough financial challenges, thinking of how I would pay my fees for the next academic year but thanks to EPI, I have assurance of fully paid fees and all round support for my four year programme. Many are those who have also benefited from this sacrifice made by Mr and Mrs Lafrance. Once again, Educational Pathways International deserves the best as Ghana rejoices over the great work done.

I wish to express my great indebtedness to Educational Pathways International (EPI). At a time in my academic life when I had no idea how my educational expenses were going to be met, EPI came to my aid by providing for my tuition, accommodation, books, stipend and other educational expenses.
Unlike the typical scholarship programs, EPI goes a step further to enhance the future prospects of its beneficiaries by organising regular meetings during which they are taught various skills such as time management, CV writing, public speaking etc. These sessions are well coordinated by the loving EPI coordinator, affectionately called Auntie Eunice.
One of the most fascinating things about EPI is that it offers its beneficiaries the platform to meet exceptionally brilliant students from various academic programs and learn from them. This EPI family provides the mutual support necessary for coping with the ever challenging demands of university course work.
To this end, I would like to express my profound gratitude to EPI, Mr. and Mrs. Lafrance and auntie Eunice for this great privilege of participating in this scholarship program.
Thank you.

To help a person in need, it does not matter the number of times you give. But the best help the person need is for you to get him or her out of that need.Educational Pathways International (EPI) is a foundation that bring students from needy families out of their financial need and burdens,
Not only do EPI take you out of financial needs but also cater for the students holistically. I joined EPI family at University for Development Studies (UDS) 2016/2017 academic year.
My family is facing a financial difficulty and it made it difficult for me to enter into the university, when I was offered admission. And even when I was able to enter, at a point I thought I was going to drop out because things got really hard for me financially considering the high expenses. Just at the point of giving up on my dreams. There came EPI. EPI did not only lift up my financial burden but also restored the joy to stay in school and have my dream come to reality.
Infact the joy of having some one to cater for me while in school which I lost ever since I lost my father. EPI is an organization that brings hope to the hopeless. I do not know what to say anymore, God bless EPI, I will forever remain grateful.
Am Bio Eva Yeng, a third year Nursing student from university for development studies.I and the other beneficiaries say a very big thank you to supporters of EPI.

I am Ibrahim Mu-az, a Biotechnology and a Molecular Biology student at the University for Development Studies (UDS), Nyankpala campus. My career aspirations has always been to complete a Bsc in any biological science and continue on towards a PhD culminating into being a medical doctor. It is my hope that through future research my findings may one day lead to breakthroughs in modern medical practices. From the society I come from, this is only a dream.
When all hopes where almost lost on chasing my aspirations in my first year at UDS, then came a divine and timely blessings from the Almighty. In this my hopes were rekindled. The rays of these rekindled hopes led my vision to a brighter future leaving me no other option but to wish tomorrow was the future. What my society and I thought was a dream was made a set target I can achieve through determination, hard work and perseverance by this nonprofitable organization known as the Educational Pathways International (EPI).
EPI stands out amongst other scholarship organizations in that, beneficiaries are not just supported financially but also participate in internship programs that will equip us with practical knowledge and experience in our field of studies. I have personally noticed a boost in my self confidence level as a result of the socialization program organized by this generous organization.
As a member of this great family, I've learnt the value of giving back to the undeserved population in the society who when liberated could have contributed greatly in the nation's development yet are deprived from the self liberation of education. I'm proud to be a member of this great family.
Thanks to Miss Eunice Eghan and most especially Mr. and Mrs. Lafrance for such a wonderful opportunity given to brilliant but needy students.

My name is Alhassan Kamilu, a 3rd year applied chemistry student of University for Development Studies (UDS), Ghana. I have been a beneficiary of the Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship since 2015. EPI is a wonderful family and ever since i came under the umbrella of EPI my financial burden has been lifted and i can now study comfortably without any constraints.
When i gained admission to UDS, I had always wondered how my parents would cater for my personal and academic needs since their businesses are non-lucrative. These thoughts alone were a distraction to my performance, academically.
Furthermore, my younger sister had to endure the frustration of sitting home for two years after completing Senior High school because of my education. Thanks to EPI, she is now in school. My parents have channelled their resources to support her as I enjoy the unfailing support of EPI.

I'm over joyed that this opportunity has popped up for me to express my gratitude to EPI and also to let the rest of the world know how EPI has helped me ever since I joined this scholarship.
I'm in the person of Gyeabour Mensah, 23years of age and a student of Kwame Nkrumah University Of Science and Technology. I'm in my second year and offering Bsc. Nursing.
Ever since I joined EPI, It has been a dream come true for me to be able to complete my degree with ease. It wasn't easy starting as I have to do extra work alongside my loaded courses in school before I will be able to cater for the basic needs of life and cope with life. Joining EPI has not only reduced my burden for me to get more time for my studies but also it has expose me to a family whose members are scholars. Now I'm compelled to study harder than I used to do to be able to cope with my EPI family members which has converted in helping me maintain high standard in my academics.
Besides, I must say EPI is the best scholarship scheme to join. Our alumni are always there to help us make it to our dreams in school. I can't count out a single day that they were not around to encourage, motivate and inspire us to do better in all our courses.
Not forgotten how EPI has expose us to leadership roles to change our home country in our generation. Just recently a workshop that was organized by the Transforming leadership Ghana of which EPI scholars were part has really enlightened my knowledge on how to be and what it takes to be a competent and transformed leader. With these training gained in school, I'm rest assured of making a great change in my country some years to come. Without EPI, this my talent and the gel of making a difference in my country would have been a hidden dream.
In fact there are more to talk about EPI but most of it is what I have elaborated above and wished that EPI stands tall at everyplace it goes because it is really making students who are poor but brilliant reach their goals.
Thank you

The heart of the volunteer they say is not measured in size but by the depth of his commitment to make a difference in the lives of others. One makes a living by what he gets but makes a life by what he gives. I am Morkporkpor Tornko, a third year Doctor of Pharmacy Student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
My family faced financial difficulties in affording for my enrollment in the university and even when I did gain entry, I was confronted with and wondering how I could make it through considering the high financial requirements. I got enrolled on the Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship program in 2013. I have since noted the significant support and contributions that EPI has made and is still making in my life and that of others.
EPI provides an annual sum of money enough to cover my tuition, books, pocket money and accommodation fees as a student. I would say honestly that the organization does not only support but caters for my needs for which am grateful.
I have heard of and learnt from close friends how other non-profit organizations operate. Comparatively however EPI is unique and exceptional. Why? EPI provides a sort of union and cohesion between students on the scholarship providing an avenue for interacting and learning from fellow beneficiaries, promoting social integration that even extends to the alumni. I see myself as a member of a family and loved by others.
EPI demonstrates that academic excellence is not only key in the personality development of an individual. Through the Program Coordinator beneficiaries are taught topics such as time management, goal setting, preparing personal documents such as curriculum vitae (CV), among other ethics.
This is a non-profit organization that also checks up on me and in general its beneficiaries performances and achievements academically and in extracurricular or social events and participations, finds out reasons why you performed sub standardly and most importantly gives you advice, hope and support to aspire you and to attain greater heights.
Excursions, tours and field trips, annual luncheon and dinners are organized and have help learn, explore sceneries and ease off academic tension. Importantly the organization has instilled in me a habit of community involvement and offering voluntary service through her constant encouragement of community service and the senior high school teaching program.
I am forever grateful and hereby acknowledge that the depth of commitment of EPI to make a difference in the lives of others is truly representative of that of a volunteer.
My life and education has been easier to pursue with many positive impacts since I became an Educational Pathways International (EPI) beneficiary.

Educational Pathways international (EPI) is one that provides such great opportunities for many youths to be successful even amongst their peers and to be great generational leaders in the world. It is a privilege to be a beneficiary of Educational Pathways International’s full scholarship to unique brilliant students of financial need in the university. The impact EPI creates cuts across various facets of one’s life: social, economic and academic. Since the EPI program is a comprehensive combination of financial assistance and good training skills to improve one’s life. Being a member of this family, my self- confidence has boosted tremendously through the competitive interviews and the platform created during our monthly meetings. Also, I have acquired adequate skills and information that goes beyond my degree. These skills includes; great leadership skills, and good communication skills with fellow colleagues, lecturers, supervisors and the community at large. The guidance and counseling aspect of EPI’s program is another area I have gained much from since it continues to shape my life and improve my academic performance.
Through EPI, I have learnt to give back to society through internship programs and volunteer work. EPI has inspired in me and provided what it takes to be an influential leader and contribute meaningfully to the development of Ghana. I am most grateful to the benefactors, especially Mr. & Mrs. Lafrance and Madam Eunice Eghan. God richly bless you and cause EPI to continually flourish.

The mirror of life is the best mirror that gives a reflection of who we are and what we become. Looking at things from two sides make us know better and have a better understanding. I am Richmond Kwesi Ansah. I am a third year Student In KNUST BUSINESS SCHOOL. I have been an EPI beneficiary since first year. I am so proud to talk of Educational Pathways International because it is not just a scholarship scheme, but a very great family and mirror of life.
Educational Pathways International is a Non Profit Organization that has taken it upon herself to help bring out refined people in the society to make great positive changes in the society. From my point of view, EPI does not support my financial needs but cater for my financial needs. After catering for my financial needs, EPI guides me in life. EPI through the coordinators teach us how we can be good leaders, how we can set goals and achieve them, how we can manage our time and Finances and so many other things which are the pillars of success in life. EPI also fosters a good social relationship omongst the members. We all know one another. Each time I meet an EPI beneficiary, I see that that this is my family member. We chat and are always nice to one another. EPI also monitors our lifestyle and our academic life to ensure that no one is in trouble. EPI encourages us to move on. Educational Pathways International has been catering for my needs. My emotional needs, my finance needs, social needs and many others. It has made me see the world differently and I have become different. Besides the financial needs it cater, EPI shows us how to move around in life. EPI trains us so that we will leave the school more refined than the school alone could have. I learn a lot from the training EPI gives me.
It is so great to have EPI. It is such a great blessing to Help EPI carry out its invaluable role in the society.

Inequalities in life has made the rich to be richer and the poor to become poorer. However, Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship has intervened to breach this gap. EPI scholarship program provides full scholarship to brilliant but needy students in the university.
I am a proud beneficiary of EPI scholarship. I used to wonder whether I will be able to complete my university education considering the cost of education. EPI not only provides financial assistance but also academic and moral support. EPI scholarship is the best scholarship at the University of Ghana. You can imagine the kind of support given out. This has made me not worry over my financial problems but rather concentrate fully on my education.
Also, EPI organizes workshops to better equip us (the beneficiaries) with leadership skills. Counselling and guidance sections are provided on timely basis to develop our potentials better.
Through EPI, I have cultivated the habit of giving back to society thus volunteering my services to society when needed. I also have the aim of affecting the lives of people positively. I cannot say thank you enough to EPI. It is a wonderful experience being on EPI program. I will forever be grateful.
I would kindly appeal to individuals and corporate institutions to support this program thus providing equity in education irrespective of ones level of income.

Just when all hopes were on the brink of being lost; just when all my dreams threatened to remain dreams forever- then came the Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship award. I confess with an open heart and mind that this award was just divine and timely.

I joined the EPI family at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (Ghana) in 2014/2015 academic year and ever since I have had that relief- of certainty that my aspirations will become a reality one day.
Apart from the enormous financial aid, I have had the opportunity to equip myself with some necessary principles in life during our meetings. The paramount among them is time management.

In earnest, I extol EPI for their good works. Long live EPI, long live our benefactors!!!

As I climbed the academic ladder, things started getting tough and I once lost my place of admission the year before I finally made it to school. I thought my problem was just in terms of finance but when God brought Educational Pathways International (EPI) my way, they made me realize that my problem was not just a financial problem.
EPI since the past three years took good care of me, taught me, inspired me and brought out the best in me. Through the assistance of EPI, I have made many friends and I learnt how to manage resources through the lessons given to us by our Coordinator, Auntie Eunice.
EPI has taught me how to teach, how to give and what volunteering means. The presence of EPI in my life serves as a source of encouragement. They motivate me to move on each and every day.
EPI is a blessing to many of us especially, Samuel Dogbatsey. People, who knew my condition, congratulated EPI for a good work done when I told them all that EPI is doing for me.
Giving back to my society and nation as a whole is one great thing that EPI taught me to do.
The whole truth is that, I don't know where I would have been if God were not to bless me with EPI.
I don't know what to do in appreciation for what EPI has done for me, I would say, God richly bless EPI and keep them.
May EPI flourish in its endeavours.

Seven years ago when I was in the Junior High School, a very tragic but extremely unforgettable event occurred. It made me sad and disappointed. A promising boy, who was visibly weighed down by a large sack he was carrying, tried to cross a dusty road into a local market centre. All of a sudden, he was knocked down by a speeding truck loaded with sheanuts, vegetables, and market women. A precious life was lost. That boy had been toiling to care for himself since he lost his parents. Since then I have resolved to excel in my education to enable me help people with similar pressing challenges so that they would not risk their lives to that extend just to get an unbalanced meal a day.
However, coming from a place where poverty, illiteracy, and deprivation are rampant, pursuing such goals are both unrealistic and unheard of. Even though I finished top of my class in the West Africa Senior Secondary Certificate of Examination (WASSCE), I had no option but to eventually drop out of school due to the absence of financial support from my debt-ridden extended family. It was at that time of extreme need that Educational Pathways International (EPI) rescued me to create mixed feelings of surprise, joy, and gratitude in me. EPI has since been paying for my tuition, books and accommodation, in addition to some allowance for feeding, clothing, and general upkeep.
I may have attended school since childhood in spite of the heap of financial challenges. I may have performed excellently in class. There may be the pressing need to help save life and transform society after school. But for now, EPI is the main reason and fuel for my university education. EPI continues to keep my dreams and aspirations afloat and reachable. The mere fact that I am still in school now is a source of priceless inspiration to my age-mates who at some point in time did give up or contemplated giving up on education to persevere in difficult times. It rekindles the hopes of many other people that there is light at the end of the tunnel. All that credit goes to EPI.
Being a member of the Educational Pathways International family has been of inestimable value to all beneficiaries. The country Programme Coordinator has been giving us practical tips to help us in personal time management and goal setting among others. The application of those tips has enabled us schedule our studies and extra-curricular activities in a much more effective way. EPI has directly transformed our lives through many of such acts of sheer benevolence and philanthropy.
For the positive impact EPI has made on society through the members of the EPI family, our current generation and posterity would find it so overwhelming to recount all their life-changing experiences. EPI is touching lives in an unparalleled manner.
I, like many other beneficiaries, come from rural communities where success is rare and so deemed miraculous. EPI is on a noble and laudable course that will eventually lift such communities out of poverty and illiteracy. With many more “EPIs”, the world will be a better place to live.

My name is Richard Boateng Omane. I am in my final year in the University of Ghana and majoring in Economics. As a beneficiary of the Educational Pathways International Scholarship, I have been receiving financial support for my university education.

I am in a family of eleven members including my parents with a high dependency burden as most of us are still in school. My father has been the main bread winner for the past few years because of my mother’s ill health, making it difficult for most of us to go higher in our education.

EPI has made it possible for me to further my education to the university level by providing full support for my tuition, lodging, books and other expenses on my stay on campus. I am the first to attend a university in my family. It would have been difficult for me to obtain a university education without EPI. EPI’s financial support has not only made my university education possible but it also reaffirms that my dreams are possible.

Besides EPI financial support, I have been receiving counseling and guidance with regards to my academic life, career development and leadership thus helping me to stay focus and excel academically and in all aspects of my life.

EPI also provides me with an opportunity to have internship service in my home country Ghana during the long vacation each year which gets me fully engaged so I can take leading role in wherever I find myself during and after school.

I am Diana Naakie Djabang, a final year student of the University of Ghana (Legon) studying Economics and Statistics. Through all the changing scenes of life, God has seen me through with the help of Educational Pathways International (EPI).
Life would not have seen me to this day in the University if not for EPI. I lost my father four(4) months prior to my West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) sitting in 2012 and as I sat behind the WASCE papers writing my final examination, one song kept reoccurring in my head, the song entitled ( Through all the changing scenes of life), a popular hymn gave me strength and comforted me not to lose hope. The words: When there is a dream, there is a way, kept me determined as I put in all my best and came out with flying colors after Senior High School (SHS). As to how I will continue my education I had no idea. After getting admission into the premier university and still wondering how I was going to pay my school fees and cater for myself throughout my four-year program, I gained a scholarship from Educational Pathways International.
EPI has been of great immense help to me. With EPI, I got the opportunity to leave through my 3 and half years university education with joy and peace of mind and a sound mind to study intensely. EPI has been the backbone of my university education, it provided for my school fees, accommodation fees, feeding fees, and also paid for my study materials throughout my stay here in Legon. My academics have just been growing from best to more best and most best (if there are words like that). EPI also gave me the opportunity to have internships during long vacations and this has helped sharpened my corporate skills and has made me ready for the job market outside there. We also have meetings about three times every semester with our Coordinator which we discuss about life goals, basic aspects of life like time management, preparation of CV, etc. She is always there for us and we always run to her side and lean on her with all our troubles. “Aunty” as we affectionately call her always makes sure we leave her side with beaming smiles.
My glory, my joy, my success, and all I am today, I owe it all to God and to EPI
Educational Pathways International, Ayekooooo. May God continue to provide for all your needs so that our younger ones will keep benefiting from it. God richly bless you Mr. and Mrs. Lafrance ( the EPI presidents) and the entire organization. To Aunty Eunice, we say God richly bless you for taking the patience to go through life with us. We love you all EPI, you are a true definition of a great non-profit organization.

I am a student who graduated from senior high school with little or no hope at all, where help is going to be obtained to further my education.
As the best student of my year group and also a student who served the high school institution, thus, the West Africa Senior High School (2024/2015) as an assistant school prefect, the Board of Governors helped me to pay my admission fees, which otherwise, would have led to me not gaining the admission at all to offer BSc. Business Administration in the University of Ghana Business School.
My mother, who solely took care of 6 children, could not stop praying and thinking of how to help me and my siblings to further our courses. Educational Pathways International (EPI) helped in taking the mental stress and anxiety in relation to questions such as: How do I pay the next school fees, how do I pay my hall of residence fees, and how am I going to feed myself whiles on campus, how do I buy books and vital educational materials relevant to my studies. With all those thoughts in mind initially, I don’t know how effective my studies would have been. Perhaps I may have to drop out.
Educational Pathway International has given me the greatest opportunity and breakthrough in my life, such that, I can take my course with a free and concentrated mind. EPI has helped me mentally to boost my self-confidence as I can now consider myself as worth equal to other students. With EPI, even my mom who has high blood pressure, has been relieved off such a burden.
I owe all gratitude to EPI. Thanks to EPI, I have a concentrated mind to take my course, and shape the future of Ghana and the world at large, l also have an increased self-esteem. Long live EPI. Thank you.

THE JOURNEY SO FAR………
I want to begin by talking about education. Education is very necessary tool in our lives we can’t do without. In fact its importance cannot be underestimated. To stress on how important it is in our lives, Nelson Mandela had this to say and I quote,” EDUCATION IS THE MOST POWERFUL WEAPON WHICH YOU CAN USE TO CHANGE THE WORLD”
The fingers they say are not equal and so it is in this world, we are all different. Some have it, others have it in abundance and others don’t have at all and that is where the spirit of interdependence lies. “You scratch my back and I scratch yours”. There are so many scholarship awarding groups or agencies around but I can confidently stick my neck out on any day and say that Educational Pathways International (EPI) is one of the best so far since its inception, in doing justice in helping needy and gifted students. Why do I even say so?
I remember that fateful day in September, 2010 when upon a visit to a friend who was also in commonwealth hall at the University of Ghana, entered into a conversation. This conversation was about no one but EPI and that was when the name EPI first came into contact with my life.
The EPI journey began in 2011 and I must say that I am where I am today not only by the Grace of God but also, because of EPI. In fact I owe my success to them. One must be wondering what at all EPI has done to receive such accolades. Most scholarship programs cater for four year university programs but not EPI. EPI sponsors the whole of my seven year medical program. EPI not only caters for my school fees which is highly exorbitant but also cost of my feeding, accommodation and books. So I can say the stethoscope I use now EPI bought it for me. The big medical books I own and read EPI bought them for me. These are the things ideally parents do for their wards but it was unfortunate my parents were not in that capacity to do that but then EPI did that. I call EPI family because it’s only family who can take proper and holistic care of its own. Others may try but not ones family. You can just envision the effects it has had on me so far. I must say am at my best at the moment. Mention the best students in the medical school class of 2016, and you will find me amongst them. This is not to blow my horns but you see, when you find yourself doing what you always loved to do that’s your passion, it’s like a talent, you don’t struggle and success just keep coming your way. Looking back, I can just imagine how life would have been without EPI. The struggles to pay fees, how difficult it would have been acquiring books to read and food to eat and even the psychological effects. How would I even concentrate on my studies and how would I be able to get the best out of myself knowing in the next moment I would be sacked for unpaid fees. Thanks to EPI that other life never became a reality. You see EPI is not interested in giving only money to needy students in fact, they go beyond that. They go the extra mile to do extra curricula activities. They get resourceful people to teach and equip the beneficiaries with hands on skill to complement what they acquire from the school. For instance, a business student is taught practically on how to work in an office and not only sitting in a lecture hall for lectures and graduating with no employable skills. Aside that, they make ensure students do an attachment in their various fields of study. So using myself as an example here, during my vacation, I joined a hospital and with what I have acquired so far I put it to use and also learn more from there. So tell me where can you get this? Trust me you can’t get this anywhere but EPI. EPI is gradually spreading its wings. At first it was only universities, but now deprived senior high schools as well. I think EPI deserves a big clap here! Asafo Senior high school is the adopted school so far. We get the opportunity to mentor the little ones in this senior high school. I remember in June 2012, I had the opportunity of spending two weeks with them and it was an encounter. There and then I realized how powerful motivational words were. To some of them, they only needed encouraging words. To others, they wanted to hear that they could make it despite finding themselves in a less endowed school. My heart melted that day with the look on their faces, when I challenged them to make it despite their challenges. I was a perfect example here considering my needy background. Before I continue, I must point it out that my struggles in life did not only begin in the university. It started in senior high school. I started school two months after school had reopened due to lack of funds. Eventually two scholarships helped me sailed through. These were Government Bursary and Cocoa Farmers scholarship. I made it big at the end and had admission to both University of Ghana and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). So back to the Asafo issue, I easily identified with them and motivated these young ones in every way possible. The school was also under staffed so I also helped out in teaching elective Mathematics and Biology. I didn’t have to wait to finish school before contributing to the society, but whiles still in the program the opportunity was made available to reach out to these ones and encourage them to give off their best. As you read this now we have a number reading various programs in the university. We take pride from the fact that we have also been of help to others and this was made possible through EPI.
Last but not the least, if you want to know how vibrant and successful any academic institution will be, just take a closer look at their alumni. EPI alumni are a league of professionals who are at various levels in the society. We have Doctors, Chartered Accountants, Bankers, Teachers, Engineers and other professionals as well as those doing their Masters programme both abroad and in Ghana all working tirelessly for the upliftment of not only themselves but also the society. Contributions towards EPI are numerous and can’t be mentioned. It s another family altogether there and we still owe it all to EPI.
Thankfully, I am six months away to the completion of my seven year medical program. A flash back at the years gone by, if I am to pinpoint the backbones of my successes chalked so far, it’s made possible first and foremost by the Grace of God. My sincerest and heartfelt gratitude goes to the pioneers and vision bearers Mr. and Mrs. Lafrance. Honestly I’m at a loss for words. These persons see the potentials in people and they nurture it out of them for the benefit of themselves and the society. They make sure nothing becomes an impediment in that process. The best gift one can ever give to another is knowledge for knowledge indeed is power. I say God richly bless you for leaving the comfort of your home in United States to be a part of my life here in Ghana. To the board members and staff of EPI, blessings and long life and prosperity will look for them chase them and never depart from them and their families. It’s my prayer many donors out there will be encouraged by your works and follow your example.
Together you and I will make the world a better place. I am Prince G. Barning a final year Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Ghana.

My name is Daniel Mensah Bortey a second year student at the University of Ghana (Legon) offering BSc. Administration. After I completed senior High school I was less confident that I can go to the university due to the lack of funding situation I face. My family earns a very low income and so it was difficult to get enough money to pay for my educational charges. At a point in time I wanted to give up because of my financial need situation. I applied to some universities across the country but although I did get admission into some of these institutions I couldn’t start my university education because I couldn’t afford to pay the academic fees.
In 2015, I read about the Educational Pathways International ( EPI) Scholarship Program on the University of Ghana website and I decided to apply to become part of the program. I went through the necessary procedures laid down and consequently, I was awarded with the full benefits of the EPI scholarship program. This enabled me to start with my university education at the University of Ghana and I am in my second year now. I have also gained much confidence in myself after passing the rigorous interview with the founders and team of EPI. Moreover, the periodic training sessions given to beneficiaries by the EPI Program Coordinator equipped me with knowledge I knew less of. For example, through one of the training sessions I learned how to prepare a good curriculum vitae.
The EPI program has been a blessing for me and I am grateful to God and the founders for the benefits I am receiving.

Hi, I am Sophia Acquah and EPI has been a blessing in my life. During my undergrad years when it seemed that inadequate financial resources were going to end my educational dream, Educational Pathways International (EPI) came to my rescue. The organization financed my education and was a great pillar to lean on in other aspects of life too.

Through EPI, I gained another set of family. A family that encourages me and has my interest at heart. Knowing that Mr. & Mrs. Lafrance and EPI saw talent and a great future in me, I was motivated to realize my full potential. Being with EPI has been a great and wonderful experience; an experience that promises no end with the strong and wonderful relationship built with the Lafrances and other beneficiaries.

It’s been six years since EPI came to my aid and three years since I graduated from the University of Ghana Business School with first class honors in BSc. Administration. Currently, I work as a Forex Sales Officer with the Treasury department of UT Bank Ltd, in Accra, Ghana. I hope to further my education and become a Lecturer in finance. It’s my dream to strengthen my knowledge in finance and teach it to others to help grow the economy of Ghana and Africa. This is because, I strongly believe that it is mainly through education that Ghana and other developing countries will be empowered to develop their economies on their own. EPI has empowered me to change my society and simultaneously made it possible for me to follow alongside to empower others. The most crucial step in embarking on my dream has been made possible by EPI.

Thank you EPI!

Life at each stage poses challenges, some of which tend to weigh down your very potentials. I have had my share of the challenges; ranging from financial through to social. Bravo!! to the Educational Pathways International (EPI) which came to show me light in my dark tunnel.
I joined the EPI family in my third year in Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Being offered Business Administration, I wondered how my four years on campus would be and how I was going to sail through the heddles in climbing the educational ladder. The Educational Pathways International scholarship has lifted this burden, promising me a smooth sail through the financial support, mentoring, counseling and love shown to me as a beneficiary.
Multitude of words cannot say all what this scholarship has offered the less privileged in the Ghanaian society but indeed your sacrifice is greatly appreciated. I am Ruth Z. Nagre.

Kornyoh Enyonam Peter is my name. I am the youngest child in a family of five (mom, dad, my eldest sister and my elder twin brother). I come from Aflao in the Volta region of Ghana. I spent most of my hay days in Kumasi where I was brought up. I had my primary school education in Kumasi, proceeded to St. Peter’s secondary school in the Eastern region and currently I am in the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology offering Bsc. In Civil Engineering.
I am a beneficiary of the Education Pathway’s International Scholarship to brilliant but needy students in the university. I am very grateful to Mr. and Mrs. Lafrance for their generosity to many people in Africa of which I am apart. The depth of appreciation for this act of benevolence cannot easily be quantified. Many a time, when I envisage my days back in the primary, secondary and my first year in the university (the period prior to obtaining this scholarship) I am short of words of the goodness of the Lord in my life through the life of the Lafrance. My parents had to hustle through the hot weather day in and day out to pay our fees. Many times the money accrued in their endeavours could not cater for all of our fees and they resort to taking of loans from the bank to pay our fees. Though other necessary items such as books were still not available we still had to bear with our condition knowing our parents we doing whatever they could do in their capacity.
One major deadlock was when my twin brother and I gain admission into the university. The tuition fees and accommodation bills were that huge compared to their capacity that the option of one of us staying back in the house whiles the other continue with university education was being contemplated upon. But my parents still went for more loans to pay or our fees.
To cut this long story short, I did not know how my parents were going to survive with the culture of taking loans from the bank to foot all our bills in school for the next four years of university education knowing that they already owe some banks. But thanks be unto God, a senior friend introduced me to EPI and today I can boldly say that since then my university tuition fees, my accommodation fees, feeding money and my books for studies have all been taken care off by EPI.
I am so happy in school, I am among the best in my class and I look forward into the future with great hopes and expectation, thanks be to God and the EPI fraternity. To the Lafrance I am forever grateful. I thank God for the life of Auntie Eunice, our coordinator, for all the life changing topics she teaches us to mould our lives in preparation for the world out there. To the whole EPI family I am so excited and happy I am apart of you.

Gaining admission into Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) to read BSc. Civil Engineering was a great opportunity the Lord granted to me. I nearly gave up when I entered the class for the first time to meet fellow course mates who are well motivated and were expectant to excel in their academics. For me, encountering Educational Pathways International (EPI) and being a member of this great family was the turning point in my life. My outlook about life, academics and my goals went through a great transformation. Through the family love, education and encouragement from the various personnel in this noble organization, I began to believe and know that there is no limitation to life and success. One major advantage about EPI is the financial benefit they provide to their beneficiaries. There have never been a semester I had to struggle about my welfare and finances. I believe I owe it to God and to Mr. & Mrs. Lafrance. I am now in final year of a class population of about 185 students and I am happy to say I am among the first five excellent students in the class. I know my future is great and I have a lovely family here in EPI and they are ever ready to support me in my pursuit for greatness. In EPI I have come to learn and live by some virtues which are priceless, teaching us to walk in love, to care for others and to give back to the society and make impact in every place we go. Words cannot describe how grateful I am to be a member of this family. For me, EPI has not just been a blessing to me but to my family as well and we cannot comprehend the love of Mr. and Mrs. Lafrance and our Programme Coordinator, Auntie Eunice. I love EPI and I am proud to be a beneficiary of EPI. I am Paul Enyram Kornyoh, a final year student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) pursuing BSC. Civil Engineering.
