These people go out of their way to help animals who would normally be euthanized. They've taken in and cared for many un-adoptable animals which is so important. I've seen so many sweet animals in their care that have lived out great lives. Their staff and volunteers devote a lot of time to caring for the animals and they know their stuff!
This is a place where all critters get a 2nd and sometimes 3rd chance. All lives matter and every animal is respected. The most unlikely combinations of animals get along because they are so happy to have a home where they are loved and cared for. This indoor zoo is a place everyone should visit at least once. You will see animals differently after the tour. Director Beth Randall can answer all questions from any direction. This is not a business. It is a labor of love.
I love Critter Camp! It's a great place to see animals you have never seen, learn about them and maybe even hold them. It's more than just a Sanctuary. The philosophy is that all living creatures are important, no matter how small, they are all treated with respect and compassion.
Beth is great at talking to people of all ages and answering their questions. There is no other place like it. If you haven't been there, set up a tour today. You will see animals you never dreamed of putting together getting along better than humans with other humans! Animals setting an example for people. That alone is worth the trip. See for yourself!

This is one of the best charities I've found. They take unwanted, sick, abandoned and abused pets that literally have no other place to go. They have everything from rabbits to fennec fox to hedgehogs to cats and lizards. It's a place where they can live the rest of their lives out in dignity and love.
I have the most respect for this rescue. The majority of the animals would be put down without Critter Camp to lovingly care for each that comes in. My experience has always been a positive one. It's heart warming to watch visitors get a tour and light up from their time there. These people put their souls into the work.
I can't say enough good things about Critter Camp Exotic Pet Sanctuary. Birds, sugar gliders, turtles, ferrets, hedge hogs, bearded dragons, foxes, rats, bunnies .. That's not the half of it. Critter Camp rescues and gives hope and a home to the hardest to place animals. I don't know how Beth Randall does it. Nothing gets in the way of her loving caring for the creatures lucky enough to find their way to Critter Camp.
THE MOST CARING CAMP EVER. TRULY A LABOR OF LOVE.
My family has been supporting Critter Camp with donations, money or bunny food, for years now. The organization provides invaluable service both to the "exotic" animals it shelters and as an educational resource for people unaware of the needs of non-dog and non-cat animals. The photos show some of our favorites: the tortoise, bearded dragon, and fennec fox.
Unique, one of a kind animal rescue.
The animals come first.
Critter Camp is an excellent exotic animal sanctuary caring for many abused unwanted animals . Beth and family care for them like family ! No place like it !
Critter Camp Exotic Pet Sanctuary serves a unique and important purpose: they are the only exotic pet sanctuary in their immediate and surrounding areas. Beth and her volunteers take great measures to provide the best care they can for animals who have been taken from their natural habitat and kept as "pets". When they cannot be returned to the wild, Critter Camp provides the next best thing.
Critter Camp is a very special place full of very special critters - including the people! Beth Randall never planned to become an animal rescuer, but when people started relinquishing exotic "pets" at her doorstep, she saw a need that had to be fulfilled. She created Critter Camp to give these lost souls a second chance at a healthy, sustainable life. She's devoted her time and her home to making sure these animals will never suffer again. NAVS was proud to award a grant to help them care for a large intake of rescued rats, dubbed the Ratastrophe of 2014!
This is an exceptional organization providing a much needed service. Exotic animals and wildlife are unique and require specific environments and nutrition and there just are not enough facilities providing this type of care. Well done Critter Camp!
A lovely rescue/shelter run by lovely and loving people. I thin I learned about them by accident through one of their educational videos on exotic pets (hedgehogs in this case). I was charmed by their other videos and, then, their mission. I support them because they care for rodents, rabbits, foxes, and other animals that local (and just as awesome cat and dog) shelters can't. I support their mission to care for pets that humans created and should continue to care for. And Critter Campbell believe even dying is precious and part of an animal's journey. My money and my good wishes are well invested at Critter Camp.
As a veterinarian, I know how difficult it is to place exotic small animals into a safe refuge when their human companions are no longer able to care for them. Critter Camp is unique in the rescue world for its dedication to helping the small furry, scaled and feathered ones who would otherwise have no place to go. These animals are cared for with devotion, respect and knowledge of their special needs, so that their quality of life is excellent. This is truly a labor of love for an underserved population of creatures and is deserving of support.
Critter Camp provides a great service to needy animals. The animals find a safe place and loving care.
Thank you for helping all the animals. You are doing a great job.
Such a wonderful organization and an amazing cause !
i love critter camp. i met beth through another organization & was delighted to learn about her unique rescue work. critter camp, unlike many other rescue operations, focuses on the positive & routinely brightens my day with photos of the sweet, unusual exotic animals for which critter camp provides care & a home.
We met Beth when we were looking for a bird cage and she showed us around her sanctuary. I was really impressed with all their hard work and loving care that they are giving these unwanted animals. I know that they are in a good place and will continue to support their efforts as much as I can.
I had the good fortune to visit Critter Camp about 3 years ago. What Beth does there is amazing. How she does what she does with so little help astounds me. I would advise if you're ever in the area, you should arrange a tour. Maybe stay and help a while. It will be an experience you'll never forget. And you might get to cuddle a fennec fox !
Critter Camp does everything in their power to care for unadoptable small and exotic former pets. Their charges are often difficult to deal with due to former lives of abuse, neglect, or incorrect care: But they believe that every little charge deserves to have to best rest-of-their-life possible. It is so much work! But they are 100% dedicated.
Critter Camp is one of a kind and does so much for the animals they care for every day.
