I have been with this organization now going on 3 1/2 years and every year this organization gets better. Last year CVC was able to help 256 families and this year we are on target to double that. The support CVC gives our veterans is beyond belief. They support the veteran and the family in all aspects of life. A complete 360 degree program. David Booth, CEO is relentless. He never stops fighting to help the veterans. He goes way beyond what other organizations do. We have many volunteers that make this program work!! Our community support is big!! We will never stop helping our veterans.
I have been involved with this organization since its inception. I have seen combat veterans come into our program and transform before my eyes within a year. CVC is there for every step the veteran and their family takes on their transition to civilian life. The veterans are guided through VA benefits, their medical appointments, financial counseling, and career guidance. CVC doesn't just find our veterans jobs they find them careers to last for life. David Booth the CEO of this organization spends 24 hours a day on helping our combat veterans. I have never seen anyone work so hard to benefit someone else. David will do anything for these men and women who are transitioning out of the military. He is truly an amazing person, and this organization gives 96 cents out of every dollar back to the veterans. So if anyone is looking for a charity to help veterans this is definitely the one to consider.
I heard of this organization through my girl friend aunt who is a volunteer and a resident at the villages. After hearing of the passion and devotion that David Booth gives to our combat veterans I was moved to be a supporter.
I have worked as a volunteer for Combat Veterans to Careers for approximately two years. Personally, I have found the organization to be totally focused on helping veterans make a successful transition from active military service to civilian life. It has been extremely rewarding to see veterans' lives transformed into productive civilian careers. The staff are totally committed to responding to the diverse needs of the veterans they serve. Virtually all funds are expended directly into the service delivery system. The program is held in high esteem not only by the veterans it serves, but; also by the the surrounding community which often provides fund raising efforts. In a word, Combat Vererans to Careers is as top notch program with an extremely dedicated effort toward meeting its mission of successfully transitioning veterans back into civilian life. It is a privledge and honor to be a volunteer at Combat Veterans to Careers.
Great organization, doing a lot of good.
CVtC is working very hard and is very successful, they have my support.
CVC truly provides 360 degree support to the veterans in the program as well as those in other programs that need help. As the Treasurer from inception, I have written checks for moving expenses, housing, food, tuition, travel, for the veteran as well as his or her family. CVC has been instrumental in finding employment in fields of choice for our veterans. The President and Senior Program Manager provide hands-on assistance for GI Bill benefits as well as with the VA benefits and counseling. They have organized a spousal support group to aid families with the transition from military to civilian life. As a retired Navy officer, I am proud to be of service to CVC in their mission of support to our veterans.
This is a great organization, they have helped my grandson in so many ways.
Being a volunteer, I see first-hand the wonderful work this organization does for combat veterans and their families. It's fantastic to see the veterans reenter civilian venues such as school and work with such success.
I was looking for something to do with Veterans and came upon CVC. Love how they help veterans to find jobs, housing and anything else they need. our veterans deserve the best and CVC gives them a fighting chance.
I am a retired Army Colonel and was looking for a worthwhile non profit organization to volunteer with, After a fair amount of research I found CVC and had to go no further.
CVC is a no nonsense organization that provides the resources for combat veterans to get an education in one of several fields which are connected to employment here in central Florida upon graduation. The basic criteria following selection is that the veteran works while pursuing his education, interfaces with the community, and supports events sponsored by CVC.
All of this is accomplished by the dedicated efforts of the leadership and a band of volunteers and with a record to date of using approximately 90% for funds collected on the Program.
I'm proud to be part of this effort!
CVC helps veterans every step of the way. David Booth and his team is full of great information and helps with the whole process of transitioning out of a military career to a civilian career. It is more challenging then it seems, I am very grateful for them leading my combat vet in the right direction.
