Mission: Chicago Coalition for the Homeless (CCH) organizes and advocates to prevent and end homelessness, based on our belief that housing is a human right in a just society.
Results: • CCH is the only non-profit in Chicago to run regular outreach at a variety of emergency shelters, transitional housing, and street programs – over 40 across the city each month, reaching more than 6,000 people each year. CCH is also the only non-profit in Illinois solely focused on crafting public policies that curb – and one day, can end – the homelessness that hits low-income families. We train and empower homeless people to advocate on the issues that impact their lives. Ours is the only legal aid office in Illinois dedicated solely to serving homeless people. youth attorneys out to unaccompanied youth living on their own, without family.

Programs: The Law Project protects offers legal aid and outreach to people who are homeless, with over 70% of casework focused on children and teens struggling to attend public school.
In its housing campaigns, CCH pairs advocacy with community organizing to spur development of affordable housing.
Youth Futures is a mobile legal aid clinic serving homeless and unaccompanied youth. Attorneys represent more than 350 youth clients each year, with outreach at shelters, schools, and drop-in programs reaching over 4,000 a year.
