Arabian Rescue Mission is a shining example of what rescue is all about: saving horses from neglect, cruelty and abuse. Terry's professionalism in negotiating and organizing rescues, often involving large numbers of horses, impressed me very much, and her compassion and concern for every horse in her care, which is the most vital aspect of a rescue, is second to none.

I work with Terry as her project coordinator, I cannot say enough on how dedicated she is to her cause. I accompanied Terry this past Nov. to Alabama, to rescue a herd of Arabians. When she approached the person who owned the horses she was totally compassionate and professional. This organization headed and directed by Terry is totally dedicated to saving and protecting horses. Horses are placed only after an extensive investigation is conducted and interviewed is done. Than only will she place a horse in foster care or out to adoption. I have helped Terry fund raise to rescue many horses from the auction pen in which they are headed to slaughter. Time after time I have seen Terry put money out of her own pocket to help a horse in need. If and when the time ever comes that I can no longer take care of my horses, the only place my horses would go is the ARABIAN RESCUE where I know that they would have the best of care for the rest of their lives.

Arabian Rescue Mission has helped with re-homing our horses due to a loss of job. Our horses would have gotten thin because the finances were not there to feed the next month. The homes were investigated thoroughly and the right fit was provided for our stallion, mares and colt. I am deeply indebted to Terry at ARM for making sure our horses did not suffer.

My experience was very positive with ARM... the professionalism, compassion, and dedication shown by the ARM representative was exceptional and very much appreciated. Horses were handled in the best possible way by volunteers working with the ARM rep! When a large number of Arabian horses need help, I can and will certainly will recommend ARM to take care of them! This case was a job well done by ARM and all the volunteers, foster homes and those adopting the horses in need.

I work with Terry as the High Plains rep. for ARM and have always found her to be professional in everything she does. The horses come first in all situations. Terry works hard to help owners and find out what their needs are, trying to keep horses with owners if possible through short term help. If rescue is needed she has a huge network of volunteers enabling her to be of assistance anywhere in the US. Other rescues should look to Terry as an example of a well run organization.

I was very impressed with Terry, the facility, and her relationships with the horses. She took me around and introduced me to every horse and told me their story. They are all important, and they feel it from her. She told me where they came from, what they had been through, how she ended up with them, how their recovery was progressing, and how proud she was of them. The horses can feel her love for them, and they are proud of how she talks about them. The horses are all very nice and polite. Most all came over to say Hi as we walked around. One or 2 had been abused and didn't get too close, but they still came over to say Hi. I was especially impressed with the disposition of the stallion. She stated (for his benefit & training) that having testicles means "manners," and he really seemed to understand! He was so polite and sweet! I learned about new effective teaching techniques. Terry exhibited great skill and patience when assistance was needed to move a young mare in. The horse was a bit skittish (the last of the bunch to go in), and Terry patiently worked with her by talking to her, giving her food, patiently waiting while the horse danced around. Terry's emotions were calm & steady. Once the halter was on, the young horse was rewarded with grain. Terry really understands and loves all the animals. I am very happy with the 2 we picked for me and my daughter. I'm confident they are an excellent choice. I'm so excited and can't wait to get them home! I think they will be a good (perfect) fit and great addition to the family. I can't wait to start working with them, brushing them, talking to them, hanging out with them, giving them a new family, and earning their trust. This will be so rewarding. And, They sure will look great in the pasture! I was also impressed with the variety of horses, most of which are Arabs. She probably has a horse to meet anything you want from color to age to gender, and all dispositions to go along with. If they aren't on site, she will surely know where the right one is. And there are so many Right horses, it is hard to choose. I wish I could have taken a couple more.

Terri has been a member of the horse & Arabian community in our area for as long as I can remember! I remember as a small child watching her show her horses in competitions and now she is giving the greatest gift possible back to these majestic, noble animals by continually rescuing, rehabbing & re-homing them. When the horses previous "owners" toss them aside like trash, Terri is always there to pick them up, get them back on their feet & loved again & sees to it that they find new loving forever homes where they will never have to wonder when and if they will see food or light again!!!! I was amazed at how easily she agreed to take in a little Arabian gelding that I found at a kill pen - she networked & fundraised for his bail, and I was able to contribute some bail money & picked him up & delivered him to Terri safe & sound! He was free from that darkness & stench of the kill pen that made me cry myself to sleep that night.....And now....he is a beautiful young man that is going to make someone an incredible little horse when they find him a new home! The Arabian Horse Rescue Mission is a dedicated rescue that keeps the horses in their first sight, and all the hard work in their second sight!!! Way to go everyone, and thank you for being a safe landing pad for our beloved equines! Michelle

My fiance Russ and I visited Terry's farm about a year ago, and from the time we stepped out of the truck and on to the property, we could feel that this place was something special. The horses were happy, healthy, and out in the sunlight enjoying their "new" life. Terry took us on a tour and introduced us to each and every horse and their story. The gleam in her eye and the love she showed for each horse was evident. Each one was special in her eyes, individuals with a heart and soul. She explained about her feeding and training program, her volunteers and her trainer and partner CJ. What we thought would be an hour visit turned into four hours. We were welcomed with open arms by Terry and CJ, and we were both so fascinated on how much it took to run the rescue, the fight they sometimes has to rescue these magnificient animals, the happiness of seeing a horse go from starvation to healthy and be adopted, to the saddness of not being able to save one that was too far gone because of somebody's stupidity, neglect, etc. Although I have not been able to visit Terry for a while due to caring for my dad, I do keep in touch with her quite often. I describe Terry as a truly a loving soul who has been sent from God to save these precious animals. She fights, and fights hard to save as many horses as she can. I for one appreciate, each and every day, what Terry, CJ and the volunteers do. They are all beautiful angels.

After visiting and touring the property, I have seen how this rescue has helped, loved and cared for all the animals there. These people are wonderful, knowledgable and care. It was a great experience. Every horse was friendly, healthy and on their way to a new life full of love and happiness. Please continue to do what you are doing. Hope our donation helps.
