I work for Miami-Dade County Public Schools and I have had the oportunity to have this amazing program at my school "Lenora B. Smith" As music teacher I realize the quality and professionalism of the instructors who work for the American Children's Orchestras.

for American Children’s Orchestras for Peace. This organization represents the maximum expression possible for the love and care deserved by all children. Based on my observations, every single one of the organization's instructors is a highly qualified teacher and appears to immensely love doing what they do.
American Children’s Orchestras is a tremendous asset to Miami and I recommend them profoiundly. Anyone who honestly believes in making this world a better place for our children should emulate the efforts of this wonderful program.
Because of American Children’s Orchestras for Peace you should expect in the future quality natural leaders as examples in how to succeed. The genuine integrity by which they work makes me proud to be living in such a great country.
my experience have been great , the music teachers and all the staff are very good persons because the most important thing is to help and teach our childrens to learn what they like to learn about music.
Although this is only our second year with the American Children’s Orchestras for Peace (ACOP) music program, we highly recommend it due to the happiness the children experience by participating in the program.
ACOP’s goal is to provide disadvantaged children with an alternative to poverty and violence through music. Developing musical skills offers students long-term career options as it improves the quality of their lives.
This year we have many children who have been left out of this wonderful music program as a result of lack of funding. We hope that in the future we can continue growing our partnership with ACOP and include more children in the program. ACOP is a great non-profit organization.

Hialeah Gardens Elementary School
Outstanding nonprofit organization that offers musical instructional program to less fortunate children who otherwise would not have this opportunity in the Little Havana neighborhood. The organization is run with excellent professional instructors who volunteer their talents and arts. An extremely advantageous program to maintains the children active in a safe atmosphere and away from the danger and crime of the neighborhood.
American Children’s Orchestras for Peace (ACOP) music instructors have instituted what I consider to be an impressive program for the children, and it has been an honor to help them with some of their projects. I have the greatest admiration for what they do and work to achieve.
Their program is ideally suited to meet Children’s needs and talents as well as meet the needs of the community. Sincerely – Milagros Cobos
My name is Marie Caceres and I am the proud principal of Santa Clara Elementary School. We have been involved with ACOP for the past 5 yaers. It does my heart good to know that there are others, like myself, who care so deeply for our under served youth. The children who are part of the orchestra have learned how to appreciate the Arts and more importantly they have become consumate performers in the orchestra. This organization has given children who come from distressed homes the opportunity to grow and develop a sense of pride in themselves that will help carry them through the hard times that they face. My parents are thrilled to participate and the school is proud of the accomplishments of the children. I will remain forever grateful to ACOP and I hope that our endeavor will last long after I am gone. fterall, without the Arts what else is there for our children?

It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I am writing to endorse American Children’s Orchestras for Peace. For the last five years I have observed the program and must say Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your great service to the underprivileged communities of Miami.
As a parent of the American Children Orchestra, I am very grateful with the program. My daughter, Cindy Pascual is overly excited. She looks forward to attending class and within less than a year has fluently learned the language of music, which has improved her academic skills.
I will also like to extend my gratitude to Maria, the program cordinator, who's dedication inspire us on a day to day.
I am a parent who came from Peru. Let’s be real, where else but in America can you go and have poor children get lessons by skilled and educated instructors for free. Especially in neighborhoods where most of the time people struggle to keep their lights.
My name is Norma Calderon and my three children attend this music program since 2005 ACOP music instructors become caring and supportive mentors to my children and others who desperately need positive role models.
Children’s activities include free music lessons in one-on-one and small-group sessions, group rehearsals, full orchestra rehearsals, and public orchestra concerts in non-school hours.
Everyone who reads this should be digging in their pocket to give something to help them.

I love this Foundation due to the fact that ACOP’s public performances are wonderful means of boosting children’s self-confidence. Since all performances are group productions (80-child orchestras are not unusual), children also bond with one another. These performances and activities create bonds across cultural bridges and enhance ties in neighboring communities
I have been involved with American Children’s Orchestras for Peace in a variety of capacities for many years. I have attended as a volunteer and as a parent, events, rehearsal, and Music Festivals with the involvement of Miami Mayor and other dignitaries and I have great respect for what they do and why they do it. The program has made a great impact on my family as my three children have received music instruction for the past 6 years. I can honestly say that American Children’s Orchestras for Peace saved my children from being involved with street gangs and other violent activities.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I have known of the organization from its inception. I have seen it grow from a dream to a life changing reality for thousands of children, their families and the communities they live in.
There are many important reasons for supporting the American Children's Orchestras for Peace; violence prevention, improve cognitive abilities, create commmunity and so on, but the number one factor is the joy the participating children exhibit.
ACOP steps up to the challenge of providing an alternative to poverty and violence. The free music lessons and instruments as well as the bonding experience from the orchestras makes a real difference in the lives of the children. This is an outstanding organization and program.
