i believe this program is amazing it allows kid to learn new things keeping them from being on the street, also it would be great to tell others of this program because it does make a difference.
I like this program because it is intresting it allows the kids to learn new things and it helps them become more independant.
This program allows my children to stay of the streets, it also allows them to reamianed occupied learning new instruments and doing productive activities.
i believe this progra has been great help for my two daughters. if it weren't for this program my daughters would be doing other things not as productive so it helps alot, and thanks to this program my daughter has learned to play the violin and she has been asked to do various programs at church's and reunions.
One of the most amazing things I have ever seen was to witness the gigantic smiles and overwhelming joy in the eyes of the children at American Children’s Orchestras for Peace. I now understand and believe the saying that a picture paints a thousand words because of the impression that it has left on me. So now I ask how I can help instead of thinking that someone else is doing what I believe God has called all of us to do….protect the children.
I know ACOP would never beg, but I am begging that if someone is in the position to give, this is a worthwhile program to donate too. Thanks American Children’s Orchestras for Peace for having a vision.
American Children's Orchestras for Peace (ACOP) provides a safe, family friendly environment providing parents a relief from concern as to where their children are after school and how they are employing their time. Since all ACOP programs are free of charge they provide deprived children with an opportunity their parents could not afford otherwise. I have my daughter and son Ashley and Alexandre Devarenne Thanks ACOP. Jackeline Carvajal. Parent.
Real talk...When I first arrived in Miami I did not know anyone nor did I speak English very well. A friend of mine told me about the program at the community center in Little Havana that her daughter attended so I took my children. We have attended every week since then with my children learning how important it is to work with other people for the sake of living together in peace. Although I had to have someone write this letter for me I stand by what I believe... Children are our future and we must protect them. Sincerely. Julieth Fernandez
I am amazed at the ease with which American Children's Orchestras for Peace, (ACOP) is able to fulfill a variety of tasks. I have sat back and watch and must say the world needs more Arts Program like ACOP. Not once have I seem ACOP's staff become overwhelmed by an assignment not to mention the nice way they deal with the more challenged children. Esther Lopez. Parent.
I began this program as a student and since then i have colaberated with the instructors and have become a volunteer due to my love and committment to the program . This program inable's children to learn a various instruments ,and have been here with my cousins and this has enabled us to keep away from dugs and various illegal activities.
I want to take this opportunity to recognize and recommend American Children’s Orchestras for Peace. ACOP keep children away from unhealthy patterns and those dangerous idle times in after school hours when they may be prone to getting involved with street gangs and other violent activities. In the at-risk communities served by ACOP, after school hours are the most dangerous time for children to be outside in terms of becoming unintentional victims of community or street violence.

My 2 children participate in the American Children’s Orchestras for Peace (ACOP) and I am also a parent volunteer for their many events.
It is with gratitude that I write to you in the hope of impacting your decision to keeping this program open and making it available to all children who do not have the possibility of learning to play an instrument, discover a hidden talent or simply getting that “push” to explore and excel in music.
My daughter played the violin and my son plays the Cello now for over 5 years. When he first came to the program, we did not even know what a Cello was. Thanks to the good eyes and ears of the ACOP teachers, my son won a scholarship to study privately at the Miami Conservatory of Music. At present, he 2 scholarships and divides his time between 2 institutions; he is only 12 years old and we were blessed by having the opportunity of discovering his gift of music at an early age.
American Children’s Orchestra made all this possible for us and we are forever indebted to them. This program needs to grow and reach more children in under-privilege areas but they can not do it without the support of organizations and people like you. We need your help.
We know that Art education is an important part of children's development, because it teaches them teamwork, discipline, and personal achievement in order to take you to the next level in life. American Children's Orchestras for Peace provides underprivileged children with opportunities to expand their knowledge and open doors to their future. ACOP has a wonderful music program. Please help us, so they can help our children! ( I have personal experience with my daughter Francoise, who attends a Magnet School of music Programs and her grades in school are honors thanks AMERICAN CHILDREN'S ORCHESTRAS FOR PEACE) Maria Giraldo, Parent
American Children’s Orchestras for Peace, Inc. (ACOP) is an extraordinary program. I have seen many examples of help based groups in the past however; I have long been impressed by the diligence and work ethic of this non-profit. I understand that they requested people to go on line and give opinions about the program and as a Board Member I jumped at the chance.

ACOP is an outstanding organization with true professionalism and love for children. They are able to successfully teach the children about music, mentor them on life issues, and give them pride in being who they are.
In the spirit of love, I hope others also give to keep the program as a positive… for peace.
As a parents, my wife and I are very grateful for this program. We met the teachers and ACOP Staff and they are amazing! My boys loved your classes from the start and never grew bored. ACOP has helped them get organized, motivated, and above all, interested in learning, confidence in what they do, which is no small feat. My whole family appreciates ACOP for helping our sons (and us!)
Thank you for all your hard work.
This is an outstanding program! My son always had a passion for music since he was smaller but due the the economic situation I couldn't afford to pay for classes. When we heard about this program in his school I automatically signed him up. He has attended for two years and I must admit that he has improved in school as well as at home with grades and behavior! I'm amazed and extremely thankful Thank you so much ACOP!!!
As a donor, I have followed the American Children's Orchestras for Peace (ACOP) for some years. I am impressed with the work they do for our underpriveleged children, communities and for our city, Miami. It is important to me to support groups, such as ACOP, that make a positive difference in the world.

For several years, I have collaborated with American Children's Orchestras for Peace as an active donor. I truly appreciate what they do for the children of Miami, and recognize the influence that the program has in the life of the parents, families and poor neighborhoods.
If you are thinking about donating to a worthwhile organization that works for the community and the children, please consider American Children's Orchestras for Peace.
I am a witness of the hard work, tenacity and love they put forth in the final product: the children.
I am very pleased and honored to have joined American Children's Orchestras for Peace. Their classes and support were available immediately! My twin daughters have not only gained knowledge within the music classes provided, but respect within themselves. ACOP has helped them develop positive social skills and continues to be an amazing experience for my daughters and me. Very satisfied with my children's progress! I greet with affection towards ACOP. Thank you for changing our lives.
Ms. Maria de Armas - Assistant Principal of Paul Laurence Dunbar Elementary.
On behalf of Paul Laurence Dunbar Elementary I would like to thank the American Children's Orchestras for Peace, Inc. for working with the children in our school. The ACOP provides our students with a free afterschool musical program. Students are exposed to various musical instruments and musical history. Through music our students are provided with the opportunity to express themselves creatively. It is an honor to be part of this program as its benefits surpasses our expectations. It is our desire at Paul Laurence Dunbar Elementary School to continue working with ACOP in order to ensure that our students have the opportunity to become well rounded individuals.
