Lots of people talk about how difficult the transition back into civilian life is for our veterans. My wife and I were looking for ways to help. Alpha Bravo Canine is one organization that doesn't just talk. They help in a concrete tangible way. Helping this organization has been a rewarding and humbling experience. When you hear a veteran say from his heart that his service dog literally saved his life it makes it all worth it.
I had never heard of Alpha Bravo Canine until Phoebe and I started training classes at Tail Waggers Academy. That is when I met Jennifer Green, owner, and found out about Alpha Bravo Canine. Jenn is an awesome trainer and her dog Echo is proof of her hard work. Veterans with PTSD and/or TBI are eligible to adopt a service dog from Alpha Bravo Canine after the dog has gone through rigorous and lengthy training. The dogs are purchased at about 8 weeks of age, socialized and trained for up to 2 years. The cost to raise and train 1 dog is approximately $30,000.00. This is huge but so are the benefits to a veteran who served our country and can now do simple tasks such as going shopping. Volunteers are always needed to help with small things like helping at events all the way to raising and training a service dog. Please help support this small, hard working non-profit.
Alpha Bravo Canine is an amazing Organization that helps our nations Veterans who are living with PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injury's, by giving them a highly skilled Service dog to help them navigate through challenges they may face everyday. They do not charge the Veteran a dime of their own Money. Alpha Bravo Canine helps our Nations finest live the quality of life they deserve!
They go above and beyond any organization as far as training service dogs for veterans. There is no cost to the veteran, everything is done in-house, and the overall customer care, and experience is top notch.
This is an amazing foundation that helps veterans that serve our country and return home and suffer from PTSD & TBI. It also helps dogs that need homes. So many of our veterans do not get the help they need and this program is at no cost to them. Alpha raises money to fund for the dogs in their care until they are ready to go into their new home to help a veteran. The comfort of a dog there to help them even with the simple things in everyday life is a relief to these soldiers
