This is such a blessing. Thank you! I have Lupus and scarred lung tissue and these oxygen tanks and oxygen tubing and nasal cannulas will help me a lot. Thanks so much!
I will have Medicaid now so I will no longer need the charity care program but I want to thank you all for being there for me when I had no insurance. God bless you all and thank you so much for all that you have done. Fantastic Job!
This program is a god send, if it was not for Access to Care. I would not have any type of healthcare. But Sentara ACC has always been there for me and my family. I have been in their clinic for 40 years. Thank you!
Access Partnership has been a blessing to me, even though I've only had to use the 24 hour nurse line only once. I was pleased with the manner on how they handled my situation. Heather and her staff are very abreast of the program. Thank you Access Partnership!
I work with an organization that assists adults that have physical and mental disabilities. When we have a fire drill or need to move the patients quickly, it can be difficult to move everyone in a timely manner because some of the patients move quite slow. So, we were in desperate need of wheelchairs for our patients. We only had a couple wheelchairs. So, I contacted Access Partnership and was able to come by and pick up a very nice donated bariatric wheelchair. I had the perfect patient in mind for that wheelchair. And, I asked Access Partnership to continue to keep us in mind for future donations. We greatly appreciate it.
I am a full time nursing student and only work part time in the hospital so I have no medical insurance. I am now experiencing medical issues that I can't afford. I am working with the ACC clinic to get the help that I greatly need. They have referred me to Access Partnership who has helped me in getting a CPAP machine that I can't afford.
I was not sleeping and up all night. I really needed some rest. CPAP machine would really help me to sleep. It did wonders when I tried it out with a sleep study. I felt excellent and vibrant. I'm hoping it will do the same at home. I would rate it a 10 instead of a 5.
This is a much needed service that is servicing the community. Helping those that cannot aford the things that Access Partnership offers. They treat you repect and dignity. They respond in a timely matter as well.
Access Partnership is a wonderful nonprofit organization. Back in 2007, I graduated with my MBA and once I finished my degree the corporate world just did not feel like the right place. Sure, it had the appeal of a nice salary and luxuries! But, I wanted something even better. I wanted to make a big difference in the world so I decided to pursue a career instead in the nonprofit sector. So in 2008 when I was laid off from my job in the corporate world due to our poor economy, I decided to finally pursue that dream of working in the nonprofit world. Specifically, I wanted to work for an organization that helped people improve some quality of their life. So, I sent my resume over to various nonprofit organizations and it was routed to Access Partnership. Access Partnership assists the uninsured and those in poverty with gaining access to healthcare so that they do not have to go without. Now, this was the perfect job for me! I just wanted to join this great organization because everyday I would get the opportunity to make a difference whether I am telling a woman where she can go get a free screening mammogram or helping a gentleman who just had a stroke gain access to a walker, I know I am making a difference. And so I go home everyday after work and I do not drive the fancy car or live in the big house but I go home knowing I made a difference in the world. Thank you Access Partnership for allowing me to be part of this great organization!
Access partnership Incorporated has been an essential and useful resource in my work with finding resources for military families with special needs. They have been very helpful to me and the clients that I serve by creating a "one stop shopping" site for finding resources for very diverse needs.
I work for a mental health agency serving uninsured and underinsured individuals. Finding resources to meet their needs is often very challenging. The Access Partnership Inc. has been an important resource for me to help my clients get the medical care and health education that they otherwise may not have been able to get. I truly appreciate the email updates that keep me aware of the available resources for my clients and others living in Hampton Roads.
Access Partners has been a vital partner for the Financial Stability Coalition of South Hampton Roads by pointing volunteer financial mentors to health related resources as they are working with families in financial stress.
Health related expenses often can create financial instability for families and the resources offered through Access Partners can help us to redirect funds to help maintain shelter, transportation, food and child care for families in financial need.
Access Partners has helped to orient our volunteer Financial Mentors for several years to health related resources and provided them ongoing notification of health services in the community.
Finding resources to help the people in the services and ministries I have been a volunteer and nurse with has been a very valuable benefit of becoming an Access Partnership, Inc. member.
First I was a volunteer nurse and clinical coordinator for a local free clinic which serves a large number of uninsured patients who therefore are in need of many forms of help provided at no or low cost to them as well as educational resources for detection, prevention and management of diseases. I became aware of the wealth of resources available in the community when I attended the annual one day Access Partnership Conference with the Director of the clinic and have been on the e-mailing list for the monthly newsletter containing current postings of local and regional offerings and events since then.
Currently I am a Parish Nurse of 10 years with a very active health ministry at my church in Hampton, Virginia and use postings from the monthly/bi-weekly news letter on my bulletin board in front of my small Health Ministries office at the church. I am told that members of my church family have participated in some listed offerings, such as diabetic education seminars, parents of teens seminars and advanced directives seminars. I post free monthly Clinical Servces Van locations and times and pray that some are taking advantage of these.
Without the information provided so concisely by Access Partnership and our Faith Community Ministries Coordinator I am sure we would miss knowing about this wealth of resources.
I have also felt very comfortable in e-mailing Candice Driscoll at AP, Inc. to find out about specific resources and I thank her for being available and willing to respond. What a valuable and needed service she and the agency serve. Thank you to all who participate in pooling the infomation on resources all over Hampton Roads/ Tidewater Virginia Area and making them available to us.
