I can't even begin to thank 1Boy4Change for all the encouragement he brings to myself and others. First of all, I'm amazed that he does this completely by himself. I know it takes a lot of time and dedication, especially for someone who also has chronic illnesses. When I applied for my warrior beads, I was having a tough time coming to terms with the many diagnosis's I had recently received. What Chris does makes it very obvious that I'm not alone in my battle. Each color or type of bead represents something different in my medical journey. I was astonished when I received them and saw just how many there were. I now hang them on my IV pole when I do my infusions. It reminds me just how far I've come and just how strong I am. I now keep count of things so I can apply for more beads in the future. None of this would be possible without donations and the generosity of others! Thanks again, my warrior beads are the best!

I stumbled across this organization after looking and researching seizure alert dogs for over a year. We were unsure of the "need" for one for our son. I spoke with Janet on the phone and she was so kind and compassionate and added us right to the list. Chris has done an amazing job finding resources and helping out so many people. They have not only created and organization, but a family. The support they give is outstanding and I am proud to be a part of it.

Having two Autistic daughters is not easy. Quite challenging, actually. 1boy4change honored my daughters' wish for a service dog, and I have seen remarkable change in their behavior and communications. They are so wonderful & have made us part of the "1boy4change" family, which to me, has become quite a support system. Blogging with other families has helped me cope and also has given me the opportunity to make new friends as well. The most rewarding part of being part of this "family", is seeing my daughters and their dog interact. Just warms my heart!

1boy4change has given me hope again. My son has type 1 diabetes that is at its best erratic and hard to control. He will spike to extremely high sugar levels for no reason, but we have to bolus for them. Then if we do not watch he will crash faster than he spiked. They have been there for me when I needed to talk willing to help me no matter what to help my son have a healthier, happier life. I feel like I have gained an extended family, one that finally understands what I go through being the mother of a special needs child. We do not have our service dog yet, since we just started the process last month, but I know that it will be a life changing event for my son once he is trained. I have hope again, and that is a wonderful thing.

It is my honor to write this review for 1Boy4Change. Chris Carswell and his mother Janet are remarkable people that give their whole hearts to this remarkable foundation. I learned about this amazing foundation through extended family members and it didn't take but a few hours for me to know that for my autistic son to have a service dog this was the foundation I would apply to. I met and talked to one of their board members and trainers filled out the paperwork and it wasn't long until our son had his remarkable service dog. Thanks to 1Boy4Change and SDIT Sugar we have seen improvements in our sons anxiety levels. Janet and Chris not only are the foundation they are family. They are always there to help and answer questions when needed. The 1Boy4Change family are a close knit family that offers support and encouragement 24/7. As far as this family is concerned you can't get any better than this.

I don't even know where to start with RAVING how amazing this foundation is! They give way beyond anyone's dreams! Chris is such an amazing human being and to be all this at such a young age means there is even more amazing things to come from him. Not only am I a board member but also a mom to a child he placed a service dog with. A service dog that has made my child in to a completely different loving child. He also helped save my husbands K9 partner by installing a heat alarm in his patrol car. I could write how wonderful he is for hours!!! But instead come join our team and find out for yourself just how wonderful and amazing this young man is!!!!

I first met Chris and his mom at the Camp Boggy Creek Epilepsy Family Weekend 2012. I just don't have any words to describe them that have not already been said! This young man is my inspiration to go on and to also do good for others. I can't afford much (yet) but I have sent a donation to them for the tablets for special needs project, and have also issued a challenge on my website (http://edu.dhovey.com) for everyone to meet or beat it! In addition, I am pledging a small percentage of my profits from teaching to their organization. Janet is an awesome mom, and there is nothing in the world she would not do for her family or a friend - even a "new" friend! And CHRIS.... well... he is the heart and soul of the organization, and truly my personal hero. I am as proud of him as I would be of my own child, and love them as if they were family. You can do it Chris... go move some more mountains!! All our best... from the Hovey family

Where do I begin .well I've known this family for 5 years when my middle autistic son rode horses for special needs kids and it closed due to the most amazing little boy who is a miracle who has epilepsy now and is changing not just my boys life but others in need as well not only children but k9s as well. After the horse therapy closed I was devastated it had helped Robert in so many ways but they did it for a great cause . Now that I have a 3 yr old my youngest he has autism and non verbal and same as my middle but different in a lot of ways . One day my dad had ran into a lady ( Janet) and called me and told me about this org. That donates service dogs for these special kids and I called her same day and was reunited with this amazing mother and son again I couldn't believe it . She got us a SD so fast and sorry to say he was a lab and was so young and rough on my baby but so sweet as well he just needed to mature to a adult. We tried another and it was a German the best dog ever but was bonded to me caus body had started school and was with me all day so Janet decided it was best to get a puppy in may when he gets outta school so please help them in any way u can they r the most generous ,kindest ,helpful ,loving and u feel like u r part of there family i . And Nana is just as wonderful Janet's mom love that women and smartest women

I met Janet and Chris through my mom who has been attending service dog training for her dog. Through this organization I have obtained the newest member of my heart who I plan to love and spoil for the rest of his life. Although some dogs are not able to make it to the service level, Janet and Chris still take the time to train these dogs with obedience and to also find them forever homes. This is one of the best organizations around. Thank you Janet for all you do and help Chris to do (and for working my dog when i don't feel good)

Chris is intelligent, caring and has turned a small blog into a major venture. The bigger his cause gets, the more Chris gives to others. I can't think of another cherity more deserving and giving of all they have to meet the needs of others.

One of the sweetest, kind hearted, and loving families you will ever meet. Although I did not receive my SD through 1Boy4Change, Janet has been helping me with training Echo every step of the way. We have just started group training and we are having a blast. Hoping to help this team with placing future service dogs. Especially for diabetic Alert. Thank you Janet, Chris, and Nana too!

A few months ago I came upon a story in my local newspaper about a young man named Christopher Carswell and his organization. I was seeking information on Epilepsy because my 6 yr. old granddaughter has Partial Epilepsy, so I contacted 1boy4change.org. Soon after Christopher sent me an e-mail and offered to help my grandaughter get a service dog. This was something we thought we would never be able to do. They are currently training Holly and she will be Nani's companion. I thank God every day for Christopher his mother Janet and the 1boy4change.org! They are doing an awesome job not only helping those in need get a service dog but also helping K9 police dogs get heat alarms. I cannot thank them enough for their show of love towards my granddaughter and how truly they care about waht they are doing.

It is truly an honor to know Chris and Janet. They work so hard to help others and constantly give back to their community as well as giving to communities across the globe. Chris is an outstanding young man with the most positive attitude I have ever seen. His compassion for others is totally unbelievable. Both Janet and Chris work hard to make life easier for other people as well as for pets serving as service dogs, police dogs or companion dogs. Janet and Chris truly think of the needs of others and put those needs above all else. They are caring and extremely sincere people who can be trusted in thought, word and deed.

Wonderful causes supported by wonderful, loving people! The many causes that this group takes up is just beyond what words can describe. The help they provide for those in need goes without question, and they are willing to help all! If there were more people like them, and young men like Chris, the world would be a lot better place. To think how young he is and all he has been through, to still have a wonderful outlook on life and want to do things for OTHERS! I just found out about them not too long ago, and I am very excited to volunteer and donate to them for many years in the future!
