Description
Founded in 1976, Casa Teresa provides a transformational, comprehensive program for homeless, pregnant women 18 years of age and older who are alone. Located in Orange, California, Casa Teresa is home to more than 75 mothers and their babies each year. Additionally, referrals or one-time counseling is provided to over four hundred women annually.
Casa Teresa offers three separate residential programs: the Parenting Program, the Adoption Program “Hannah’s House”, and the Transition Program for Single Mothers. Casa Teresa is open to all homeless, pregnant women in need regardless of religion, nationality, race, background, or any other factor.
Casa Teresa offers a safe and sober living environment, perinatal healthcare, individual and group counseling, case management and life-skills education. Our residents receive the tools needed to earn a living wage and become self-sufficient. Residents are provided with computer training, job skill assessments and career development classes. Equally important to their success, they find a healthy sense of self-worth and dignity. This goal-oriented program allows women to break free from a generational cycle of homelessness, addiction, abuse and poverty.
