ZF is an organization that truly embodies selfless service and genuine acts of kindness. It gets the job done in places & for people who need it the most. Being able to be a part of this is a blessing.
A true changemaker in the community ! What I love about this organization is that they’re committed to lasting change and community development internally and externally, bettering the lives of all without discrimination of any kind !
Zakat Foundation is a charity organization that helps with local and international causes. One of the many things I love about Zakat Foundation is that it involves the youth in helping others. The youth benefits from this by learning about what other people have to go through and how we should be very grateful. In all my time being a volunteer with Zakat Foundation, I have enjoyed every moment in volunteering and helping others. I have been with Zakat Foundation for a couple of years now and I can not wait for more opportunities to come.
My son (high school senior) and I joined the Zakat Foundation as volunteers couple of months ago. I have been part of non-profit, charitable organizations before and I have to say I am very impressed by the dedication, the collaboration and the professionalism of the volunteers. I am excited to see the enthusiasm and dedication of people from all walks of life, from students (primary, middle & high school, college) to professionals and others in between. The global and local projects undertaken by the Zakat Foundation are a constant source of inspiration. These projects range from building water wells in developing countries to assisting individuals and local communities affected by natural disasters. The range of community service activities provided are far and wide with positive short-term as well as long-term impacts. Some examples include: providing warm meals, canned food, water and cleaning supplies to communities affected by hurricanes; cleaning up debris from an elderly lady’s yard and driveway post Florence; preparing and serving hot meals at RMH; offering Maths and SAT group tutoring classes; assisting refugees and those less fortunate in the broader community. I am proud to be part of this fantastic organization with an amazing group of volunteers. I would strongly encourage people to donate with their time and/or funds.
I've been volunteering with Zakat Foundation for more than 8 years of my life. I wouldn't be anywhere close to where I am today without the various opportunities volunteering with ZF has given me. I've met many of my friends through this organization and always look forward to working on new projects.
I am an outreach intern for Zakat Foundation of North Carolina. It’s been an incredible experience working and volunteering with Zakat Foundation. Zakat foundation had a huge impact on my life. Projects like the 99 orphans or the well project have given me many ways to give back to the community. When it comes to the community who stands behind Zakat foundation works together through a donation and helping the orphans-the impact is too large because we are throughly bringing and working a difference. Zakat Foundation has its own center in North Carolina where they have many programs such as the SAT prep class, Math enrichment, Defence class and much more. Zakat foundation looks for ways to help others in need and I am blessed to be part of this wonderful organization.
Zakat Foundation of America is one of the most financially efficient charities I have donated to.
Apart from the pleasure of giving back to the community, I feel that it is critical for donors to understand the non profit organization's charitable commitment and fundraising efficiency. This is where Zakat Foundation stands out. It supports causes dear to my heart and helps promote generosity in our community.

The thing I love about Zakat Foundation is its transparency. I get to see where my dollars go and see the change in others' lives.
I see orphans' lives change not only in terms of food security, but in education. ZF goes out of its way to see that our donations are distributed in the most efficient way.
ZF encourages me to give from my money and time to better the lives of others.
ZF is a great nonprofit organization making a huge positive impact on the communities locally and internationally in different walks of life. People here are very committed, hard working, warm and caring. They are constantly looking for ways to serve the community. Thanks ZF for mentoring and coaching the children for academic success.
Zakat Foundation has provided me with an opportunity to give back to my community and beyond . I have been a member since 2016 and it has been two very fulfilling years. Knowing the fact that I have made a difference in someone's life is very rewarding . Taking part in various outreach projects initiated by Zakat Foundation has enabled me to contribute beyond myself and in ways that fits my lifestyle.
Zakat Foundation is such a great nonprofit organization! Their members are so very kind to work with and they’re always ready to help—-no matter the cause! I’ve seen them for a few years now immediately organize food/clothes/hygiene drives for those affected by the hurricanes. Even when places were blocked off they were still trying their hardest to get supplies to those who need it. Everyone in the organization is dedicated, hardworking, and compassionate! Truly amazing people and, honestly, just the best organization!
Zakat Foundation has had an immense impact on my life. Before I got involved with the organization, I used to take advantage all the privileges I have. With projects such as the 99 orphans initiative, or the well project, I have found ways to give back to the community and help in any way I can. I used to look at volunteering as a burden, now I look as it as a blessing because I get to help people who do not have the same privileges I do Zakat foundation has also established a sense of community around our area. Now with a community center, various different programs can take place. One that I am extremely thankful for is the SAT prep. If it weren’t for that, I may have not gotten a decent score. Zakat foundation is constantly looking for ways to help the community, and I am happy to be a small part of it.
I've been interning with Zakat Foundation of North Carolina for a few months and it's been an amazing experience. I've worked for nonprofits before but none have had the focus and the drive, as well as the sense of community, that ZF does. I'm truly impressed by the dedication to global, local, and youth initiatives and by just how much every member of the team is willing to step up.
I've visited Zakat Foundation's programs in West Africa and in Turkey (for Syrian refugees) and witnessed first hand the tremendous impact it has in building self-reliance and restoring dignity to some of the most distressed communities I had ever seen in my life. The organization's messaging and image is humble, but it's footprint in the world is huge. I was surprised to see so many people in these countries - from the impoverished villagers and refugees to government authorities and institutional leaders - all talk about Zakat Foundation so fondly like a household name and a lifeline for their communities' development.
ZF is still a big part of my life, as a donor and volunteer. Their work is transparent, which is very important to me. I built a hand pump in India for my sisters and when I received the photos, it simply took my breath away. I pray they can continue with their rewarding efforts.
I began donating to Zakat Foundation of America in 2005. In 2007 I was hired as a receptionist. I am proud to say I have never worked in such an employee-friendly environment. I have great benefits with a wonderful boss and staff. It gives me great ease to know my donations are going to directly help the individuals I intend on donating towards. One thing I great appreciate and take pride in with the Zakat Foundation is we are a small staff and this allows us to be extremely personable to our donors.
ZF, you are much good my love is for thnigs you od evry daiy.
Hey, woot, giv big cheir,
hey every body, Zakat Foundation of America is herre.
Zakat Foundation of America is, in my opinion, the most transparent and trustworthy humanitarian non-profit out there. The employees do their work with complete passion and care and the help being provided to regions across the world is sustainable and empowering, to say the least. Zakat Foundation has also been incredible at mobilizing the community to work on local service projects or fundraising initiatives to alleviate suffering abroad. It isn't just a non-profit, it's an institution through which service is redefined and reimagined.
It's important to me that a humanitarian organization focuses more on its work than creating expensive compensations for higher-ups. Zakat Foundation of America employees exceeded my expectations in telling me more than 90 percent of the organization's funds go directly toward the cause. This tells me that Zakat Foundation is wants to create a profound positive impact, and it tells me that the people who work there see it as more than "just a job."
I believe it's a lifestyle choice to give to others and be compassionate in one's time of need, and I believe Zakat Foundation embodies that lifestyle fully.
This is the perfect organization to donate to during the Ramadan season. Their humanitarian work is not concentrated in one region of the world and includes several programs (food, housing, education, healthcare). They are also fairly active in the United States in major cities like Chicago and Washington D.C.
