Programs: The ywca child care center offers state licensed care for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years in a family-like atmosphere. The center is naeyc accredited with a 5 star youngstar rating. Children receive free swimming lessons and play swim each week and enjoy secure, fresh-air play on our rooftop playground. The ywca is a collaborative partner with the green bay public school district to offer 4-year-old kindergarten. Families enrolled in 4k can take advantage of before and after school care. The ywca camp downtown programs offer summer care for children ages 5-12. The ywca after school program is a licensed and accredited child care program for children ages 5 to 12 years old. It focuses on low-income and at-risk children. Children are provided with homework assistance and nutritious meals and participate in daily activities that help them make good choices and build healthy minds, bodies and relationships.

the ywca offers the best swimming lessons in town for newborns to adults. Generations of families have learned to swim in the ywca's 88 degree warm water pools. Experienced instructors challenge swimmers at a variety of levels. We have partnered with other community organizations including hispanic and somali resource centers to provide culturally specific lessons for many individuals who have never been in a pool or other body of water. Programs are noncompetitive and small class sizes allow students more one-on-one time with instructors to focus on skill development. The ywca has instructors that have been teaching swim lessons for over 25 years. The instructors are trained by the other staff members to stay consistent with the swim instruction style. Lifeguard certification, cpr, aed and first aid are also taught in-house by the experienced ywca staff. Ywca health and wellness programs address the needs of all age groups from young adults to seniors. The health & fitness training center features cardiovascular and strength training equipment and free weights. Personal trainers are available to help users achieve their fitness goals. The ywca's two 88-degree pools offer a therapeutic environment for those suffering from arthritis or other conditions that require warm water therapy. More than 60 land and water exercise classes are offered weekly in a comfortable, safe, judgement free zone.

the ywca gave over 2000 women professional attire for interviews and their first week of work through our women's closet helping them to dress for success. The madison street boutique provides a unique shopping experience to customers of all socio-economic levels. The ywca helped over 25 women with job training services in our women's empowerment center with help from our ged classes, computer classes, goal setting, life coaching and resume writing. The ywca provided steam classes (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) to girls in area schools from third through eighth grade through our techgyrls program. The ywca helped adults and children to take advantage of our children first family literacy program that is aimed at promoting learning for adults as well as ensuring the learning and development of children.
