Youth Recovery Services Inc.'s CEO Michael Ransaw has been the Executive Director of large DCF Licensed Residential Group Homes; has started from the ground up several residential programs, including clinical and foster care programs; negotiated for one of our premiere clients the highest extended foster care rate in the state and averted disaster for one of Florida's most critical residential child care agencies. He also has worked as a mentor to executive directors in the residential child care arena and concurrently serves as the Executive Director of the Alliance of Health and Human Services Providers. I am confident that as he re-organizes the Alliance under Youth Recovery Services, he will be instrumental in bringing CEO's, Executive Directors and their program leaders together to create a forum for discussion and exchange that is not currently available for Service Providers in Central Florida." I highly recommend Michael Ransaw and Youth Recovery Services Inc.

We are deeply appreciative of the efforts and patience of everyone at Youth Recovery Services for assisting us with our reorganization plans, especially Michael Ransaw. The technical assistance and support has been well received and being considered as we move forward. Myself, along with our Leadership Team are strongly committed to this transistion and with the continuing services of Youth Recovery Services, we feel we have a strong team to help us move forward in developing better and stronger programs to serve youth referred to us.
I had my son at 17 years old and being a teen parent in foster care was very hard. Being a mother was something I always wanted. Growing up in foster care you always want a family. You want to feel wanted and having my son gave me someone to love and a family.
My case manager told me about Youth Recovery Services. I remember meeting Mr. Mike who made me feel welcomed. He and the parent volunteers gave me a chance to get some help with learning parenting skills and be with my baby while getting my GED. The program gave me support when I didn't have any other family support. Mr. Mike was someone I could talk to when I was feeling sad or needed advise. These are all the things I had and the type of support they gave me at Youth Recovery Services that helped me.
Foster Teen Parent
Transitioning out of foster care has greatly impacted my future in every area of my life. I remember first meeting Mr. Mike at Kennedy Park. At the time I was the only girl in the afterschool program at Youth Recovery Services. My success in my future endeavors is a direct result of the support and training received from Youth Recovery Services afterschool and mentoring program. The life skills training put me steps ahead of other foster care kids who never had an opportunity to grow like I did over the two years I was in the program. My grades and behavior improved in school and I graduated from high school. Because of this program, I was able to go to the vocational school and become a certified nurses assistant. I want to thank Mr. Mike and Ms. Stephanie for all they did for me and my family.

The vision of the program is directed towards promoting the healthy development of children and strengthening families. The Executive Director has presented his views to our community with enthusiasm, excitement and a dedicated commitment to working with our children. As a community leader, it is the intent of our community to work towards developing an even more positive working relationship with Youth Recovery Services through volunteering and supporting this organization financially.
Youth Recovery Services Inc. is a phenomenal organization lead by a phenomenal leader Michael Ransaw. Mike's strengths consist of his dedication to excellence, his tenacity, his commitment to employees and to the kids in his care. He has great problem-solving and analytical skills; he is very systematic and can anticipate problems requiring him to react quickly with solution while paying attention to details. His determination, optimism, honesty and creativity make him a great leader."
Working with Mike Ransaw at Youth recovery Services Inc., I have had the privilege of watching him interact with the children in his care. I know first hand his commitment, his perserverance and fortitude to making sure that each child receives the best care possible.
I have no hesitation recommending Youth Recovery Services. I have provided services oversight and contractual quality management. YRSI has provided integrated client services for both our foster care and juvenile offenders program. All services have met or exceeded our contractual outcomes.

My experience with YRSI has been fruitful and very rewarding. We were very pleased how Mr. Ransaw identified the population we wanted to serve and integrated our outreach goal with enhanced educational services that made our dollars go the distance. We highly recommend Mr. Ransaw's youth recovery program.
