Mission: The mission of youth orchestras of san antonio, the premier orchestral experience of youth citywide, is to enhance education, enrich the community, and transform lives by pursuing excellence in classical music in a stimulating, nurturing, and fun environment that is equally accessible to all youth.
Programs: Ongoing program of musical training open to all musically talented youth by audition. Yosa serves over 1,800 students ranging in ages 8 to 20. Students come from 169 schools in 19 school districts. They reflect the rich cultural diversity of the area and represent the full socio-economic range of our community. There are classes offered at far below cost, free performances to the general public, and financial aid distributed for programs.
