Mission: Youth on Record empowers young creatives to achieve their artistic, personal, and academic best by employing Colorado musicians and artists as their coaches and mentors.
Target demographics: Creatives in Denver ages 11-24 from historically marginalized and underrepresented backgrounds.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Since 2008, we have supported thousands of young creatives as they build toward economic opportunity in the creative industry, cultivate creative skills, and improved academic outcomes!
Geographic areas served: Denver, Colorado
Programs: Youth on Record offers free creative education programming to creatives ages 11-24. We support the next generation of creatives in Colorado by providing free music education programming at our-state-of-the-art recording studio. We teach songwriting, music production, instrumentation, recording, and more! We also teach for-credit classes in Denver and Aurora Public Schools, offer paid internship and fellowship opportunities, host youth-produced podcasts, host a weekly Open Mic, and more!
